OC Chapter 9 - Summer Maiden Ania
Name: Ania Sienna.
Age: 29
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Bisexual (normally prefers girls).
Species: Atlas Moth Faunus (Horribly genetically altered).
Appearance (Original): Ania is about 5'7" with lush golden wavy hair. Not like golden blonde as much as truly lustrous gold hair with a few blonde highlights. Her eyes are light blue and rather reflective. She has fair skin, but years in the sun in the outdoors have given her a bit of a tan. She's normally seen wearing a black leather jacket and torn dark jeans, with a red top that barely covers her chest and completely shows her midriff. The jacket has an emblem of a volcano erupting on the left shoulder. Her combat gear is very reminiscent of the clothing worn by both Egyptian warriors and royalty, featuring a gold collar plate decorated with a jade scarab an ornate purple, red, blue, and silver skirt, interwoven with metal fibers and a dust to give it sturdiness in battle. She wears a leather top that shows her midriff and her upper arms. That light brown leather is studded with a ruby eye of Ra in the center with a woven gold dust and metallic laced sunbeams emanating from it. She wears a pair of leather bracers like her black fingerless gloves, only these are studded for both fashion and additional impact damage. Anyone who's ever been hit by a studded glove is well aware of how painful, and crippling this can be in the right situation. They are light brown like the top. She wears a similar pair of high boots. From just above her forehead grew a pair of read feather-like antennae, indicating her Faunus heritage.
Appearance (Mutated Form I): Upon receiving the gene treatment to cure the congenital necrotic disease that was slowly killing her, Ania mutated heavily, as one of the side-effects of the gene therapy reared its head. The Hughes family brought out far more of the animal traits than they meant to, causing the once beautiful woman and maiden to become a twisted and deformed creature that would have somewhat resembled a caterpillar, but well over seven feet long. She was bright green with long feathery protrusions waving off her back with golden tips and dust covering them. Rather than the shrunken in insectoid head of the caterpillar, a hideous twisted version of her face covered parts of it, save the mandibles and the bright red compound eyes. Faint tufts of her blonde hair appeared in sporadic clumps around her deformed face. The front pair of her six tiny forward clawed legs ended with black, spindly bony fingers, while the last pair looked vaguely foot and toe-like. Patches of tanned almost human-textured skin appeared in various places on the caterpillar-like monstrosity's body.
Appearance (Mutated Form II): Not too long after disappearing, the poor creature that had once been Ania underwent a moth caterpillar's first metamorphosis, slowly turning purple and then wrapping herself in a cocoon of silk that constantly emitted steam and some glowed bright red or yellow, indicating that they were extremely hot. She affixed herself to a rocky wall inside the deeper chambers of Mt. Pele, where she has slowly grown in the past few years, and in doing so her powers have started to affect the surrounding area. Her abilities as a maiden have subconsciously fueled the volcano into becoming abnormally swollen with magma, and allowing for plants to grow where they otherwise should not be able to survive, interweaving their roots with those threads of fiery silk to create a twisted bed of life in the heart of the oldest and largest volcano on the island.
Appearance (Mutated Form III): Upon emerging from her silken cocoon, Ania appears in her final form. In this state, some of the earlier mutations to her body appear to have been repaired, as from the middle of her abdominal region upward she is largely humanoid, though her skin is porcelain white, with a faint purple-ish red hue and tufts of white, cream, and cinnamon covered fuzz on her wrists and at the base of her neck. Her hair is still golden colored, with a few streaks of red and brown through it. Her antennae are longer, and more feathery now than in her original state, and her eyes are now a deep amber yellow in the center around the pupil, slowly tapering into a red crimson ring at the edge of the iris. Her long, delicate fingers are tipped by very long, blade-like red nails. The lower half of her body however, is a different story altogether. From her naval downward, she seems to be fused to the abdomen of a gigantic moth, with a cinnamon red coloration with faint white stripes along the abdomen's segments, and the underside appears to be charred black, with faint glowing lava-like veins. Along the sides of her fuzzy moth abdomen she has white eye spot markings with cinnamon and purple in the middle of each. From the top of her head to the base of this she is nearly eighteen feet long, walking on four powerful insectoid legs. Over a dozen malformed miniature legs stick out in odd places in around the red fur where the four main limbs protrude. Though these hideous limbs serve no purpose and cannot be used to walk, they flex and move in spasms. Like the burnt-looking underbelly, they have fiery glowing veins in them as well. Perhaps her most notable feature of all, is her wings, which sprout from her shoulder blades. With a wingspan of twenty-two feet, they are nothing to scoff at. With bright dashes of cinnamon, white, brown, gold, and crimson eyespots like her animal counterpart, they are dazzling. They glow along their veins as well.
Personality: At one time, Ania was very well rounded and headstrong. She believed in following her own ideals for the betterment of the world regardless of what the powers that be thought of it. She was sarcastic, witty, and sometimes blunt, but also kind and understanding. She had little respect for authority at times, but she was willing to compromise for the greater good as she saw it. However, upon discovering the necrotic disease within her, she fell into a deep depression, and never recovered from it. She became reclusive, wailing and sobbing for hours in pain and despair, not realizing that the more she isolated herself, the more her mental sickness ate away at her mind, while her physical one devoured her body. By the time she underwent the gene therapy at the Hughes labs to cure herself of what should have been a terminal disease, she barely spoke a word. Upon being declared healthy, her mood improved for a time, but the damage was already done. She pulled herself out of her mental abyss for a time, but the mutations she underwent were the final straw and she spiraled completely into madness, giving in to the animal side almost completely. Now, her speech consists of often unintelligible mutterings, loud rants, screams, roars, or gibberish. She will speak as if someone is there, referring to her weapon as Ozpin or cradling it like a child and calling it her darling little 'mentor.' She is weary of outsiders entering her domain, and her mutations along with her tremendous power seems to have further deteriorated her mind, as she will use her significant abilities without restraint or remorse. In spite of her insanity, she is still very intelligent, often much more so than she would appear given her demented and twisted mind. She may have the mind of mostly an animal, but the intellect governed by her instincts is as formidable and sharp as it has ever been.
Semblance: Lumokinesis (Light manipulation.) Ania is able to manipulate or generate light, and is capable of controlling its brightness or lack there of, able to drain all available light including that on other spectrums and render a room in such total darkness that not even a Faunus can see. She can emit bright flashes, severe enough to in some cases cause permanent retina damage, though such a bright one drains her aura quite severely, and that can only happen if her target looks directly at the flash. She can generate it in multiple colors, moving it around to create dazzling and confusing displays. Maiden Powers: As the current Summer Maiden, Ania possesses a degree of control over the five basic elements, though her powers heavily favor Earth, Fire, and lightning. She is capable of using wind and water, but to a lesser extent. In addition, she can teleport short distances or fly, or create a small barrier that will deflect almost any attack thrown at it, though repeated attacks wear it down. She can also channel energy from the sun itself, using it to heat the surrounding environment. Though normally it can influence plant growth, it can also be used in a specialized form of aura healing or amplify her semblance to the point where she can emit a solar flare burst. Not as powerful as a true solar flare would be, but still enough to do massive damage to anything caught in the flare. However, her favorite method of attack when she has to use her powers at all is to combine Earth and Fire, manipulating them together to create localized volcanic activity, which she can use to decimate many targets as aura is of little use against the heat and intensity of liquid magma. Being the summer maiden, she can influence plants to grow, or wither under intense heat. She altered them in such a way as to allow them to feed off of the geothermal energy during her long sleep, as the plants were connected to her as well as the volcano.
Choice of Dust: Earth and Burn (to compliment her primary Maiden manipulation Element.)
Aura Color: Red-gold. (Formerly it was a blue-ish color until she received her Maiden abilities. Her eyes will emit a brilliant red light when her powers fully activate, though it will flash gold as well.)
Weapon: Originally her weapon was called Toba Igneous, and was a set of gold laced black hilted twin ninjato that could be combined together to morph into either a long rifle with a bayonet, or a gold hilted two-handed mace or great-hammer. However, she kept it in mace during her sleep in her cocoon, but it was scorched black by the extreme heat, leaving tints of a faint red glow along its edges. It has partially melted, and can no longer transform, but it is still a formidable weapon, and one well suited to Ania's lack of mobility when she's on the ground. It has been in her possession so long that her power has permanently given it a fire enchantment, meaning that whomever wields it has no need to empower it with dust. That is, provided they can actually lift it and swing it easily. Affiliation: Herself.
Pets: None, though she has numerous infertile caterpillar eggs lying around and will refer to the other Faunus mutants that roam the island's forests as "her little dearies." Even though she has never met most of them.
Crush: None.
