Ruby, Y/N, and Jaune were soon entering into Beacon Academy's giant auditorium, filled to the brim with people. Ruby looks over when she hears Yang's voice.

Yang: Ruby! Over here! I saved you and Y/N a spot!

Ruby: Oh! Hey, I-I gotta go! We'll see you after the ceremony!

Ruby left and Y/N looked at Jaune. He simply started at him for a few seconds before leaving.

Jaune: Hey, wait! Ah, great. Where am I supposed to find another nice, quirky girl and boy to talk to?!

He moved on to reveal Pyrrha standing behind him, hand on her hips as she watches him walk away.

Once Ruby and Y/N joined Yang, her arms crossed.

Yang: How's your first day going, little sister?

Ruby: You mean since you ditched me and I exploded?

Yang: Yikes! Meltdown already?

Y/N didn't know what Yang meant by meltdown. He looked at Ruby and waited to hear her say something.

Ruby: No, I literally exploded a hole in front of the school! And there was some fire, and I think some ice...?

Yang was smiling broadly and looked at Y/N.

Yang: Is she being sarcastic?

Y/N shook his head no.

Ruby: I wish! I tripped over some crabby girl's luggage, and then she yelled at me, and then I sneezed, and then I exploded, and then she yelled at me again, and I felt really, really bad, and I just wanted her to stop yelling at me!

As Ruby was talking, Y/N felt a cold, icy glare at him. He looked behind him and saw Weiss. He quickly tapped Ruby's shoulder.

Weiss: You!

Ruby quickly jumping into Y/N's arms.

Ruby: Oh, God, it's happening again!

Weiss: You're lucky we weren't blown off the side of the cliff!

Yang: (deadpan) Oh my God, you really exploded.

Ruby: It was an accident.

Ruby started getting down; to Weiss

Ruby: It was an accident!

Weiss holds up a pamphlet titled "DUST for dummies and other Inadequate Individuals" to Ruby. Y/N tilted his head and looked at it.

Weiss began listing off policies to a clueless and horrified Ruby, going faster and higher pitched with each word.

Weiss: The Schnee Dust Company is not responsible for any injuries or damages sustained while operating a Schnee Dust Company product. Although not mandatory, the Schnee Family highly encourages their customers to read and familiarize themselves with this easy to follow guide to Dust applications and practices in the field.

Ruby: Uuhhh...?

Weiss: You really wanna start making things up to me?

Ruby: Absolutely?

Weiss handed the pamphlet to Ruby.

Weiss: Read this, and don't ever speak to me again. And get your friend to stop with his creepy stares. I feel like he's looking right into my soul.

Weiss looked at Y/N, who was simply looking at the three girls.

Yang: He's just like that. He's not really a talker. Look, uh, it sounds like you two just got off on the wrong foot. Why don't you start over and try to be friends, okay?

Ruby: Yeah! Great idea, sis!

Ruby was now holding out her hand as she clears her throat.

Ruby: Hello, Weiss! I'm Ruby! Wanna hang out? We can go shopping for school supplies!

Weiss was now seemingly enthusiastic.

Weiss: Yeah! And we can paint our nails and try on clothes and talk about cute boys, like tall, blond, and scraggly over there! Or tall, dark, silent, and handsome here.

Jaune: Hm?

Ruby: Wow, really?!

Weiss was dead silent under her glare.

Weiss: No.

Y/N looked at Ruby and patted her head. The girls' and Enderman's attention were drawn to the stage, where Professor Ozpin is readying the microphone, with Glynda beside him.

Ozpin: I'll... keep this brief. You have traveled here today in search of knowledge, to hone your craft and acquire new skills, and when you have finished, you plan to dedicate your life to the protection of the people. But I look amongst you, and all I see is wasted energy, in need of purpose, direction. You assume knowledge will free you of this, but your time at this school will prove that knowledge can only carry you so far. It is up to you to take the first step.

Glynda: You will gather in the ballroom tonight; tomorrow, your initiation begins. Be ready. You are dismissed.

Yang: He seemed kind of... off.

Ruby: It's almost like he wasn't even there.

Y/N:...*Blinks*

Jaune then approached Weiss from the side.

Jaune: I'm a natural blond, you know!

Weiss puts her hand to her face in exasperation.

The first night at Beacon, students are splayed out in sleeping bags. Ruby, in her pajamas and with a sleeping mask around her head, is writing in a journal when Yang crashes next to her, similarly dressed. Y/N walked to a sleeping bag and simply curled up in a ball and laid down.

Yang: It's like a big slumber party!

Ruby: I don't think Dad would approve of all the boys, though.

Yang: I know I do!

She purred as she watches several muscular, shirtless guys... and Jaune, dressed in feetie pajamas, waving to her, which makes her groan before she returns her attention to Y/N.

Yang: Comfortable?

Y/N looked at her as he was struggling to get comfortable. He was tossing and turning and rolled next to Yang. Yang blushed softly at his actions. Y/N looked up at her. Yang smirked.

Yang: Now this is comfortable.

Yang said as she wrapped an arm around him. She looked at Ruby.

Yang: What's that?

Ruby: A letter to the gang back at Signal. I promised to tell them all about Beacon and how things are going.

Yang: Aw, that's so cuuuute!

Yang was knocked back as a pillow is launched at her face.

Ruby: Shut up! I didn't get to take my friends with me to school! It's weird not knowing anyone here!

Yang: What about Jaune? He's... nice! There you go! Plus one friend! That's a hundred percent increase! There's Y/N too.

Ruby:Pretty sure Weiss counts as a negative friend. Back to one...

Yang: There's no such things as negative friends! You just made one friend and one enemy!

Y/N leaned up and was hit with a pillow, this time looking like a dog, to the face.

Ruby: Oh! Sorry Y/N. That was meant for Yang.

Y/N's purple I said, why didn't he looks like he was shaking a bit. He shot a look a Ruby. He opened his mouth. An enderman can be provoked by a someone or a monster attacking them. They can also be provoked by a player looking them in the eyes from up to 64 inches then looking away. Endermen open their mouths and begin to shake angrily if provoked; they also make loud and lengthy sounds while being stared at.

Y/N was slowly getting up and his mouth opened slightly. This was starting to get Ruby and Yang a little worried. Y/N was about to attack, but he took a few deep breaths and calm down. He had already gotten this far in his mission. He couldn't screw up when he was this far. He looked at Ruby and patted her head, before laying down with Yang.

There was an awkward silence for a few moments.

Yang:...Look, it's only been one day. Trust me; you've got friends all around you! You just haven't met them yet!

The two sisters notice a candle being lit nearby, and Blake Belladonna is seen leaning against a wall, reading her book.

Ruby: That girl...

Yang: You know her?

Ruby: Not really. She saw what happened this morning, but left before I could say anything.

Yang: Well, now's your chance!

Yang grabs Ruby's arm and lifts her up.

Ruby: Wait! What are you doing?!

Y/N got up and followed. Blake looks over her book to see Ruby unsuccessfully struggling against Yang's grip as she leads her sister over to Blake's spot before letting go.

Yang: Hel-looooo! I believe you two may know each other?

Blake: Aren't you... that girl that exploded?

Ruby: Uh, yeah! My name's Ruby! But you can just call me Crater... Actually, you can just call me Ruby.

Blake went back in her book.

Blake: Okay.

Yang started whispering to Ruby.

Yang: What are you doing?

Ruby began whispering back.

Ruby: I don't know - help me!

Yang: So... What's your name?

Blake was sighing as she's distracted yet again.

Blake: Blake.

Yang: Well, Blake, I'm Yang, Ruby's older sister! I like your bow!

Blake was now irritated.

Blake: Thanks!

Yang: It goes great with your... pajamas!

Blake: Right...

Ruby laughed uncomfortably.

Yang:  Nice night, don't you think?

Blake: Yes - it's lovely! Almost as lovely as this book!  That I will continue to read. As soon as you leave!

Yang: Yeah, this girl's a lost cause.

Y/N stood there and looked at the book. He got on his knees and tapped Blake on the shoulder. By this point, Blakes patience was on thin ice.

Blake: What?

Y/N tapped and pointed at her book. It took Blake a moment to process what he was trying to ask.

Blake: You...wanna know about the book?

Y/N nodded. He had never seen it before and was curious about it. Blake was a little surprised.

Blake: Well... i-it's about a man with two souls, each fighting for control over his body.

Yang: (sarcastically) Oh, yeah... That's real lovely!

Y/N had a look of fascination as he looked at the book and tried reading the page she was on, in his head.

Blake: I'm already halfway through it. But I can help you find a copy in the library if you want.

Y/N looked at her and nodded. Blake looked at Y/N. Seeing his purple eyes and his outfit made her think of something. He look familiar from somewhere, but she wasn't sure why.

Ruby: I love books. Yang used to read to me every night before bed. Stories of heroes and monsters... They're one of the reasons I want to be a Huntress!

Blake laughed a little.

Blake: And why is that? Hoping you'll live happily ever after?

Ruby: Well, I'm hoping we all will. As a girl, I wanted to be just like those heroes in the books... Someone who fought for what was right, and protected people who couldn't protect themselves!

Blake: That's... very ambitious for a child. Unfortunately, the real world isn't the same as a fairy tale.

Blake's smile turns into a frown

Ruby: Well, that's why we're here! To make it better.

Yang: Oh, I am so proud of my baby sister!

Yang hugged her sister. Only for Ruby to start kicking out.

Ruby: Cut it out!

The forced sisterly bonding evolves into a dust cloud of fighting limbs and flying stars.

Blake started laughing slightly.

Blake: Well, Ruby, Yang, it's a pleasure to ha-wait. I don't think I got your name.

Blake looked at Y/N.

Ruby: Oh that's Y/N.

That's when Weiss started storming onto the scene in her own pajamas as Ruby traps Yang's leg.

Weiss: What in the world is going on over here?! Don't you realize some of us are trying to sleep?

Weiss and Yang soon saw the sight of each other.

Weiss and Yang: Oh, not you again!

Ruby: Shh! Guys, she's right! People are trying to sleep!

Weiss: Oh, now you're on my side!

Ruby: I was always on your side!

Yang: Yeah, what's your problem with my sister? She's only trying to be nice!

Weiss: She's a hazard to my health!

Y/N, who rolls his eyes at the fight, simply grabbed, the candle, licked his fingers, and put it out, enveloping the scene in black.

Meanwhile

White Fang scientist 1: Sir?

Roman: What?

White Fang scientist 1: It's about project contamination, sir.

Roman sighed softly in annoyance and rubbed his eyes.

Roman: Look, Fall is supposed to be in charge of that!

White Fang scientist 2: But sir! We are afraid we might shut it down. The end result's are far to dangerous.

White Fang scientist 3: Yes indeed. The end result is not what we had expected. Look, I know our goal is forcing Humans to respect the Faunus through fear, but this is crossing the line. This is going to far.

Roman looked at the three confused, then noticed something in their eyes. Fear. Whatever happened in the lab with project contamination, it scared the hell out of them. Just then a loud banging at the lab door was heard and followed by a unsettling loud roar.
