-Your pov-

You sat in the dorm with your two cousins, Yang and Ruby. Your team was all out partying and drinking, but you had elected to stay behind with the two of them and spend some time with them. Blake was out in town, going to some book signing with one of her favorite authors, and you actually had no idea where Weiss was. She had gone somewhere without saying anything about it. You would ask one of them about it, but you don't want to open yourself to more teasing from them. No matter what it was, they were able to tease you about something, and you didn't mind most of the time.

Yang would tease you about not being able to hold your liquor. Your father Qrow was a notorious drunk, which is actually what ended up leading to your conception. He could drink for hours and do everything drunk, seemingly even better than he could manage sober. The amount of alcohol he had in his system were never enough to slow him down at all. And somehow, Yang also had the trait. When the two of you would go to Junior's bar, she could and did drink you under the table each and every time. You tried to tell yourself it was just because of her Semblance somehow, but you knew the truth was you were just a lightweight.

Ruby liked to tease you about how unlucky you were from time to time. Your Semblance was a lot like Qrow's, but on a much more muted level. It was always on like his, but it didn't actually give bad luck to everyone around you. The way your Semblance worked was that when you fought, it was nearly impossible for anyone to land a hit on you, you were just that lucky. The trade up was the rest of the time, you had some of the worst luck imaginable. You would constantly bump into things, knock things over, bit your tongue a lot and things like that. Ruby liked to tease you about this, which always brought a smile to your face.

Eventually, your curiosity got the better of you, and so you decided to just ask the question that had been bothering you since the moment you walked into the room. " So, where is Weiss anyways?" The moment you ask this, both of your cousins look at you with a knowing look in both of their faces, and you rolled your eyes. Maybe asking this was the wrong idea after all.

" Someone has a crush," says Yang. " Why do you wanna know? Wanna go to her and then just pronounce your undying love for her?" She then giggles at her own joke, as well as the blush that appears on your face.

" No, I'm just curious," you tell her, although you know she's already gotten the reaction she needed and wanted from you, and then she continues to laugh. To your great shock and betrayal, Ruby even joins in on the giggling and then laughs with Yang. You feign hurt in a desperate bid to get them to stop, but then it doesn't.

" Just curious," asks Yang. " Uh huh. Let's not act like you haven't been glancing down at your phone every few seconds looking for a text from Weiss, and then let's not act like you haven't been looking at the door every few seconds."

There's no answer to this, and so you just stop talking with whatever amount of dignity you have left, which isn't very much as Ruby begins to dash all around you and ask you a lot of questions. " Do you like her? Do you? If you do, I can set you up with her since I'm her partner." This goes on for sometime, before Yang looks at you with a surprisingly helpful look on her face.

" There's nothing wrong with it if you do like her," she says. " In fact, I think it would be really cute." You smile when she says this, and then Ruby resumes dashing all around you, pestering you for details. However, you and Yang then just start to have an actual conversation about the idea of you liking Weiss.

" She said she was going to show some of the transfer students around the school," says Yang. " It's an extra-credit opportunity and she also wants to get some information about how they fight so we can prep a strategy for the tournament." You chuckle when she says this, easily able to imagine that as something Weiss would do.

You then try your best to block out all the pestering that goes back and forth between Ruby and Yang as they try to get more details from you, but you either give simple answers, or refuse to answer a question outright. You get away with this for some time, and then the door opens, and then Weiss comes in, causing Yang to elbow you over. Weiss shoots a playful glare at Yang when this happens, and then kneels down to help you back up, and then you smile and thank her for it.

She then sits down on her bed, and then begins to brew a pot of coffee. " I need to pull an all-niter," she says. " I have a lot of homework I haven't had a chance to do yet. (y/n), can I stay in your dorm for the night? I know your team is out for a party, and so I figured I could work there since Ruby and Yang snore."

" Preaching to the choir on that one Snow Angel," you told her jokingly, and then Ruby and Yang tried to argue that they didn't snore. Weiss also smiled at the use of her nickname. Many boys at the school called her that, but you were the only one she let call her that. Everyone else, she simply got angry with, and then they never called her that. " So yeah, you can stay at my dorm for the night."

The two of you try to walk down to your dorm when she gets the stuff she's going to need. Yang calls out to the two of you, " Use a condom!" You chuckle at the humor of Yang, hell your entire family, since you must have heard that joke a lot in your life. Weiss flushes bright red at this however, and the two of you have a small conversation all the way down to your dorm.

Once the two of you arrive, you flop down on your bed, and then quickly fall asleep. When you wake up, you see that your team still hasn't gotten back to Beacon yet. They probably passed out in some roadside ditch drunk. Checking your scroll, you saw it was only around 3 in the morning, which made you huff. Your sleeping schedule was just so terribly inconsistent. Looking over at your desk, you saw Weiss passed out and snoring to herself.

She was so cute when she was sleeping. Well, Weiss was cute all the time. But, when she was sleeping, she was just this mystifying mix of beautiful and cute. All her guards and defenses were down, and she was just herself. You smiled when you saw that her hair fell freely. These were the moments when she was the most beautiful. Smiling when you saw this, you picked her up and that sat her down on your bed, and pulled the covers over her, and tucked her into bed.

-Weiss Pov-

The next morning, I sit in the library with my team as they all try to explain to me how to play this one board game. I nod every so often, and try my best to follow the conversation, however, I'm totally lost. And so, I try my best to follow the game, but quickly find myself losing. (y/n) chuckles at this, and then sits down next to me, and then he begins to help me figure out how to use all of the cards in my hand, and then I quickly start to win.

As I'm about to thank him for it, Neptune walks into the room and my heart starts to flutter. His perfect blue hair, his pearly white teeth. He smiles when he sees me, and then walks over with his friend Sun. Neptune begins to talk with me, and then everyone else melts away from me. When he leaves and I come to, I see that (y/n) left, and according to everyone, he left a long time ago.

-Yang Pov-

I sigh and then I get up to go find (y/n). I know how badly he fell for Weiss. Ruby acts like it's just a crush, but I know that (y/n) is actually falling in love with her, and how badly this must hurt him. I eventually manage to find him in the gym, hitting a punching bag. He isn't wearing gloves and then a steady stream of blood drips from his ripped knuckles. Tears stream down his face, and then I make my way over to him. " You okay," I ask. It's a dumb question, but I don't know where else I can start.

" Of course I'm okay. I'm a Branwen, and I'm Qrow's son. He and I are great at loving people we can't have. Hell, I'm only alive because he hooked up with someone hurting about Summer and Tai. I'm the three percent failure rate on a condom Yang. I'm the one nobody wanted, so why in the hell would I be so stupid as to think Weiss would?!" He gets angrier and more bitter as he speaks this, then punches the bag one last time, before pulling his hand away and cursing in pain.

Before I can even say anything else, he storms out of the room, dripping blood from his hand. I sigh and my shoulders slump.

-Weiss Pov-

" I'm sorry (y/n)," I tell him. He nods his head like he had been expecting this all along, and then blinks rapidly, trying to keep tears from falling in his eyes. Tonight, he had decided to try and ask me to the dance, and he confessed the feelings he had for me. However, I was telling him about Neptune and the feelings I have for him.

" Don't be," he mutters, voice barely above a whisper. He seems like his voice will break if he raises it any higher than he has it now. " It isn't your fault Weiss." Before I can say anything else, he turns away and then begins to walk off. I consider saying something to him, but I don't want to hurt him anymore. Even if he is my best friend, I want to give him the time to heal before trying to resume our friendship.

-Your Pov-

The night of the dance, you walked over to Weiss, and then slowdanced with her. " You okay," you asked her. She had been looking sad the entire dance and you suspected you knew why. Weiss tries to lie to you and tell you she's fine, but you know her better than that. Eventually, she finishes telling you the story of how she asked Neptune to the dance, and he had turned her down.

Your shoulders slumped. And you closed your eyes, both to keep tears from falling down your face, and to imagine what you were going to do. You were going to be in love with Weiss, and you were going to dance with her, and then imagine that for the next two minutes that this song lasted that she was in love with you too. And then? You were going to talk with Neptune and make Weiss happy.

The two minutes ends faster than you would have liked, and then you make your way over to Neptune as he stands on the balcony. He turns to see you, and then he waves. " What the hell is wrong with you," you ask cutting him off.

" What do you mean?"

" Don't play dumb with me. I know Weiss likes you, and that you like her. So why the hell wouldn't you go to the dance with her?!"

" I....can't dance." When he says this, you growl and then pin him to the wall.

" Neptune, I would kill to have her look at me the way she looks at you. I'd give up a lot to be the one she loves. Do you have any idea how lucky you are that she likes you? Any idea at all?! She's the most beautiful, loving, charming, amazing girl in this entire school. And you would rather break her heart than admit you couldn't dance!? Do you have any idea what I would give to be the one she wanted to come to this with?!"

By the time you finish, you're crying and then let go of him. He tries to apologize to you for it, but you hold up a hand. " Just talk to her," you tell him. " I know it would make her night." Quickly, he dashes off to do that. Looking into the room, you see him and Weiss talking as she smiles and laughs.

" Unlucky kid," you said to yourself, pulling out a flask, and taking a long swig as you watched your Snow Angel fly away.
