Long Mission

Ruby

You hate telling her you're going to be gone for awhile, since you know how much she worries

Her biggest worry is that you'll die on the mission like her mother did, and she says she couldn't handle it if that happened again

She makes you promise that you're going to come back, saying if you break the promise, she can never trust you again

Before you leave, she asks you to bake for her, and you make enough cookies to tide you over until she comes back.

When you're gone, she does her best to keep her cheerful demeanor, however those around her can tell how much she wishes you were there

Once you've come back from the mission, she instantly attaches herself to you, and you will never get her off you, not that you're trying to remove her

Weiss

When you tell her you have a long mission, she tries to keep a calm demeanor about it, but you can just tell she's going to be worried

Her biggest worry is that you'll end up always having to be away on missions, like Winter is

Weiss jokes to you that it will be nice for her to get some peace and silence once you're gone, but you know she's going to miss you the entire time

Before you leave, Weiss spends as much time with you as she possibly can, preparing herself to be without you for a little bit

When you leave, Weiss tries to act normal. However, she will often sit under your covers, and wear your hoodies and anything else that makes her feel like you're there.

Once you get back, Weiss insists that you take a shower before anything, since you probably stink. But, she gives you one hug and then sends you in the shower. While you shower, she gets rid of any evidence she wore your clothes or sat in your bed

Blake

Once you break the news to her that you have to be on a long mission, she goes into this weird state where she dettaches a little bit, and then only asks you logical questions to get all the details that she can regarding the mission, such as how long you'll be gone

She worries about you non-stop on the mission, and often calls you between classes, and whenever she has free time.

Blake often doesn't sleep when you're deployed, since she has nightmares and only feels safe when you snuggle with her. She knows how much this worries you, and she still does her best to sleep.

Before you leave for the mission, Blake makes sure to spend a lot of time with you, reading and just being together. She often gives you things such as her hair ties to make sure you have something of hers on the mission, since she borrows all of your things when you're gone. She also writes you notes to read on the mission to make sure you're thinking of her

The first time you told her you were going to be gone for a little bit, she removed her bow to tie it around your arm, as she made you promise to come back

Once you do come back, Blake asks you all kinds of questions about the mission. When you were gone, she imagined it in worst case scenarios, and she needs to know it wasn't as dangerous as she had thought

Yang

She tries to act tough when you're on a mission, since she knows the two of you are going to be huntsman, which means this won't be the only time it happens

However, she worries that you're going to leave her like her mother. No matter how many times you tell her you won't, there's a part of her that still worries

When you're gone, Yang has to keep herself busy. She either buys a ton of dumb games to play, throws herself into video games, or is in the gym. She often sends flirty texts to you, as incentive for you to try and finish the mission early

Before each mission, she gives you her scarf, in exchange for one of your hoodies. She says it's a reminder of what you have to come back to.

Yang is always there to pick you up when you get back. She often tackles you, and then hugs you as tight as she can, before dragging you for a date right away

Pyhrra

She knows that you're going to come back from the mission, and her only real worry is about how long it's going to be

The two of you have scheduled video calls and texts for when you're deployed. No matter what happens, you've never been late for one.

When you're away, Pyhrra throws herself into her training, needing to keep her body and mind stimulated.

Before the missions, the two of you will have alone time, and just spend time together happily

Once you get back, she often needs to sleep because of how much she's been working, and so the two of you will cuddle together

Nora

She freaks out instantly when you mention you have a long mission. She knows how strong you are, but she also knows first hand just how dangerous the world is.

To calm her down, you make her as many pancakes as you can. She manages to ration them out until you come back

When you actually leave for the mission, Nora is just an emotional wreck, crying and experiencing a lot of emotional breakdowns

Because of this, you leave notes and other things around the school so she can find them and know you're going to be fine

Nora is always there when the airship touches down, and pulls you into a big hug, and probably cracks a few ribs

Coco

She manages to stay calm when you tell her you have a mission, and then just asks for details about the mission.

Before you leave, the two of you go on shopping trips together, and as many other dates as possible

When you leave for the mission is when Coco allows herself to be a little more vulnerable, going on shopping sprees, but also wearing your hoodies and jackets when she has to be by herself

The two of you have video calls, but there's no schedule for them. But, she refuses to go to sleep until you text her to tell her you're okay, with no serious injuries.

Her team always picks you up from deployments, and then she models all kinds of outfits for you, the ones she bought when you were away. Once the two of you finish this, she then takes you on a date

Velvet

Velvet becomes very nervous when you go on the mission. She gets bullied a lot, and you defend her from people like CRDL, so the thought you're going to be gone is enough to make her freak out

Before you leave, you do your best to set aside time for her, and spend every free moment you have with her, and then assure her you're going to come back

On the days you're gone, Velvet refuses to leave her team, and they refuse to leave her, often spending entire days talking

Velvet checks in with you every few moments due to her anxiety. If you don't respond for whatever reason, she assumes you're dead and freaks out

Once you get back, she tackle hugs you, and then squeezes as tight as she can

Winter

Her reaction when you tell her you're being sent away is simply to nod. The two of you have managed to build a relationship around the deployments the two of you have. To her, this isn't the first and it won't be the last

She does miss you the entire time you're gone, and when you get back, she tends to be a little more affectionate

The two of you have figured out how to make it work with scheduled video calls, and texts.

Winter would never admit it, but when she gets home from Atlas, if you still haven't come back, then she walks around the house in your hoodie

Once you do get back, Winter tries her best to get some days of leave so the two of you can spend time together

Glynda

She knows how to handle the fact you're deployed since the two of you are huntsman. She knows this is going to happen

Glynda misses you the entire time when you're gone however, and tends to keep notes from you in her pocket, or re-read texts from you

Her students all hate when you have to leave for missions, since she grades more harshly when you're gone

Once you return, she takes a few days off and the two of you spend all the time you can together

Emerald

Emerald tends to be very snarky when you tell her you'll be gone, joking that she might find someone else by the time you get back

She hates it the entire time you're gone, having to deal with some of the more difficult members of the White Fang by herself.

Emerald tends to pickpockets anyways, but when you leave, she makes a small fortune. She needs to keep herself busy, otherwise she'll lash out at someone at the worst time

Once you get back from the mission, she treats you to a date with all of the money she stole in your absence

Neo

The poor girl is on the verge of tears when you have to leave for a mission. She knows how dangerous your line of work is, and doesn't want you to get hurt

When you're gone, she'll walk around in your clothes, even if they happen to be multiple sizes too big for her to wear properly

You set aside money for her to use on ice cream when you're gone, since you know she stress eats

Once you get back, Neo latches onto you, and then the two of you eat ice cream together

Cinder

Cinder manages to be calm when you're on a mission. She knows that you can handle yourself and come back

The rest of the White Fang hates it when you leave however, since her already short temper is even shorter

Cinder often checks in with you, and then sends you flirtatious texts and pictures, asking you to hurry back.

When you do come back, Cinder waits for a little bit, before hugging you and admitting to herself how much she really missed you

Kali

Kali knows that you can take care of yourself, but she still can't help but worry a little bit

When you're on a mission, she tends to read a lot to be busy, and often finishes entire novels in one night

She has trouble sleeping when you're away, but does her best since she knows you worry

Kali asks for texts letting her know you're okay, and she sends you texts to let you know she's making it through her day okay

Once you get back, Kali asks you to cook for her, since she barely knows how herself.

Raven

She's calm the entire time when you have a long mission. Odds are, she assigned it to you as a member of her bandit tribe.

However, she makes sure you have backup and people with you to make sure you come back ago

Raven tends to be very tired when you return from a mission, since has trouble sleeping without you.

Once you finish the mission, she teleports to you and just spends time with you before she has to back to the tribe
