Glynda x Male Reader
-Your Pov-
You sat on the couch, and nodded every so often. This wasn't an uncommon situation at all, and it was something that by this point, you found more amusing than anything else, which is something many people would have been surprised by: someone being so unfazed by the full anger of Glynda Goodwitch. The students at Beacon all respected her, but if not, all she needed to do was simply glare in their direction to get them to shut up. The people who knew her, either personally or by reputation all did the best they could to avoid her legendary temper, and even her closest friends and family cowered in corners when she was in a mood. Hell, it wasn't just humans who were scared of her. You had once seen her glare at a Grimm when she was having a bad day, and then the Grimm whimpered and ran away.
And yet her being angry with you, was just something that happened. Even since the very first time you had met her, you had never been concerned with her being angry with you. The two of you had first met when you literally ran into her, and then she had began to yell at you for being careless, since her glasses had cracked. All you did was simply tell her to take a chill pill, which had amazed all the students around you. Before you had come to Beacon, no one had ever stood up to an angry Glynda. They would just apologize and agree not to do it again. You had seen no point in that, and so did the best you could to simply give her a hard time, and press even more of her buttons.
Right now was no exception. You had been home for all of five minutes, and had just sat down on the couch with a nice beer, and then she had burst into the room, yelling and screaming at you for Oum knows what. It might have been something about how you were always irresponsible, or how you needed to clean up after yourself. Or, it might have been something about how you didn't let her know you were going to be coming home. Either way, you weren't really paying attention to her, or at least not was she was saying. Honestly, all you were paying attention to was how her boobs jiggled when she crossed and uncrossed her arms.
As you thought this, your hand begin to sting, and you looked to see she had hit you with the riding crop she insisted on carrying with her. As you rubbed your hand, you idly realized you had bought that for when the two of you decided to spice things up in the bedroom. A part of you wondered if that was a mistake, and then the other part of you knew that no, it probably wasn't. " Are you even listening to me," asked Glynda angrily, snapping you out of your daze of wistful memories.
" Of course I'm listening to you," you told her, and then she rested a hand on her hip, and cocked her head side ways. You knew this look. This was the look she gave when she didn't buy a single word you said, and was asking you to prove it to her. It was also a challenge, letting you know there was probably hell to pay later if you failed to prove to her that whatever you said had indeed been the truth. " I did something, you're pissed off at me for it, and I need to stop doing that in the future."
She crosses her arms at this, and you watch the jiggle with a smile on your face, and then she takes of her glasses and rubs her face. You know this look too. This is one of the ones she came up with as a teacher. Glynda uses this when a student gave an answer that was technically correct, but managed to also be wrong and unhelpful at the same time. It was also the look she used when she had to try and stifle a laugh to maintain a demeanor of a professional teacher.
A laugh escapes from her lips, and then she looks up at you, the anger gone from her eyes and a smile on her face. She opens her arms, and then pulls you in for a hug, resting her chin on your forehead, taller than you only because of the heels she insists on wearing. " I missed you," she admits, and then her hug becomes tighter, to the point that the air is being knocked out of you. This is her way of starting to end the argument, while also still getting the point across you have yet to be forgiven completely. " How come you didn't tell me you were coming back so soon?"
" Well, I didn't even know until today. The mission was supposed to take at least another week, but I just can't stay away from my girl. I didn't tell you because I wanted to surprise you, and yes I know how much you hate surprises. But you have to admit, this is nice," you tell her. You feel her smile, and then she holds you even tighter, your face smushed against her boobs, and your entire body warmed by the heat she radiates.
" This is nice," admits Glynda, and then she pulls away from you, and places her glasses on, doing the best she can to look serious again. " Still, I'm a little irritated with you. Our room, twenty minutes and you can make it up to me." With that, she walks off, and you stare and marvel as she does. No matter how the two of you interact, you always consider it a blessing that you got together with Glynda Goodwitch. Whenever you would count your blessings, she'd be on the list twice, for everything she did that made your life better.
You stand there for a few moments, lost in thought, and then you decide to follow Glynda into the bedroom. She may have said twenty minutes, but the " General" couldn't wait that long. You had spent the last week fighting Grimm with Qrow as your only company, and you were about ready to just take Glynda anywhere. And so, you found her in the room. She rolled your eyes at your lack of patience, but you knew she wanted this also. As the two of you began a passionate evening, another blessing you added to the list was that the two of you had a house with soundproof walls.

" You're leaving for another mission," she asks angrily, and then you nod. " You just got back last week, and how long are you going to be gone this time?!" The two of you have been at this ever since you had waken up.
" However long it takes to finish the mission. Glynda, I'm a huntsman," you point out to her, tossing her your huntsman license. " This is kinda what I do for a living. You have one of those too. I fight Grimm, and go on missions."
" Don't you are take that one with me," she snaps. " I know what a huntsman does! You just don't have to do this every week. I can count on one hand the amount of times we've seen each other this month! I'm your girlfriend! You're supposed to care about me and make time for me!"
" I do care about you, you know that Glynda! Don't ever try to use that against me! It's just I can't stop going on these missions. We both know that being a teacher doesn't pay well, and you need me to keep working to pay for all of this," you tell her.
" Is that what this is about? You're still angry with me for retiring and getting a license to teach?! You know I don't care about how much money I earn. I'm doing something I love, and that's more important to me than the money is."
The two of you continue to argue, getting louder and louder as you do. At first, the argument stays about how you leave a lot, and when you come back, you don't do your share around the house, however quickly devolves into a shouting match, where the two of you simply say the most hurtful things you can to each other.
" I think you should go," says Glynda, as she blinks away tears. You have to resist the urge to reach over and brush them out of her eyes, tuck the strand of hair behind her ears, and hold her and tell her it will be alright. She blinks for a few moments. " Go!!" She shouts suddenly, trying to replace all her sadness with anger.
" I am going!" With that, you walk away from her, and then slam the door in her face to go leave for your mission.
-Timeskip Glynda Pov-
I look up from the stack of papers on my desk to see the students in detention. The room is completely full of students, as it has been all week. Some of them like CRDL, Ruby and Yang deserve it, the former for bullying faunas, and the later for sleeping in class. Others are simply here because they talked in class, or performed some other small infraction. But, this entire week I've been on edge and giving detentions for even the smallest reasons, and snapping at students for practically nothing.
Checking my scroll, I can't help but worry when I see (y/n) hasn't texted me yet. Normally, he texts me every step on the way on his missions, giving me information such as who he's with, what he's doing, and where he is. It helps make me feel better, and more at ease knowing he's safe. However, I realize he's probably still angry with me, and he's not texting back because of that. Even for some relatively minor things, (y/n) can hold a grudge, and I wouldn't blame him if he held on about those things I said to him, things I only said knowing they would sting.
A lump also forms in my throat when I realize I didn't tell him to be safe, or wish him good luck on the mission. Ever since the two of us started dating, I've done one or both of those two things before each and every mission, no matter how angry I was with him before the mission. It was something I always did, except for this time because I let him press all of my buttons and get exactly the reaction he wanted from me. I considered texting it to him, but if he wants to be stubborn, then I can be stubborn as well.
At the end of the week, I look out the window to see a team of huntsman returning, all with varying states of injury. Looking down, I see a stretcher being carried, and I adjust my glasses to see who's on the stretcher. My eyes widen when I see the battered body of (y/n) lying there, bleeding out, his lips moving as he mumbles something. Color begins to leave my body when I see him so injured and weak. I force myself to finish teaching the rest of the class, and then I quickly go down to the hospital wing of Beacon.
I see Qrow sitting in one of the chairs in the waiting room as he drinks from a flask. He stands up when he sees me, and then hugs me. " How is he," I ask Qrow, and then Qrow pulls away and begins to pace the room nervously.
" I don't know. They pulled him in, and he's been in surgery ever since. He got stung by a Deathstalker when he was protecting a little girl. He's been mumbling your name, and saying he's sorry for something ever since." If it was possible for me to feel any guiltier, I do now. Sitting in the chair next to Qrow, I wait until a nurse comes out and says that he's allowed to have visitors. I quickly get up and then walk into the room. (y/n) looks over at me and smiles weakly, and then I rush over and pull him into the tightest hug I've ever given to him, and I begin to sob.
" I'm so sorry! I should have never gotten so angry with you! I should have told you to be safe or wished you luck, even if I was angry. This is all my fault." I continue to sob, and then I feel his arms wrap around me, and he holds me tight.
" It's okay. When I got stabbed, my life flashed before my eyes, and then all I saw was you? And it made me realize how dumb I was being about the entire thing. I love you Glynda. I'll make more time for you, and I'll just do anything to be with you." His answer makes me feel even guiltier, to hear he doesn't blame me for any of it.
" I love you too," I tell him, and then we hold onto each other, crying and saying how much we love the other.
-Epilogue Your Pov-
You smile at your daughter, Morgana, even though she glares at you. Ever since you said she couldn't go to a party since her grades were low, she had been avoiding you and not saying a word to you. You stood in the doorway before leaving for a mission, wondering if she was going to say anything. Before you could wonder for too long, Glynda came over to the two of you.
" Tell your father you love him" she says, and then Morgana glares at her as well. " You never know when the last time you see someone is going to be Morgana. For all you know, your father might not come back from this mission. And I know you'll regret it if you didn't tell him you loved him before."
" Hm, that's stupid," scoffs Morgana, haven earned a stubborn streak, from you and Glynda, as well as being a teenager.
" I thought the same thing, until I found your father in the hospital. I almost lost him Morgana, and the last thing I did before was slam the door in his face. Please, take the chance while you have it."
" Fine. I love you dad," says Morgana, the anger vanishing, and then you pull both her and Glynda close.
" I love you too," you tell the both of them.
" Be safe," says Glynda, and then you nod and leave for the mission, happy your daughter learned the lesson her mother learned long ago: Tell the ones you love them that you do while they're still here.
( let me know what you thought. bit of a personal one to me. Sam and I had a fight a few days ago. We're fine now, but it made me realize if anything happens to her, I want the last thing she hears me say is that I love her. So, not to get preachy, but take every chance to tell someone you love them while you still have it.)
