Blake Belladonna x Male Schnee Reader

-Your Pov-

From the second you had seen Blake, the girl had fascinated you. For some reason you couldn't put your finger on, the girl had immediately gotten your attention. Like some mystery from a book you wanted to solve. The girl radiated an energy, and put out some mysterious aura. From that initial meeting, you wanted to know everything you could about her. You found yourself drawn to her like a moth to a flame.

And it wasn't just because you thought she was pretty, which granted you did. The girl was gorgeous with her gentle amber eyes, and raven black hair. But, it wasn't just how beautiful she was, how she moved and how she would appear to shine in the light. No it wasn't that. You had known pretty girls before, usually girls your father had picked for you to close some business deal. But, Blake was pretty in a way none of them were. The other girls had been beautiful in a purely superficial way, but from the very start, you could tell there was something more to Blake. Something that made her special. Some deep beauty that her appearance could only hint at.

Granted, your first meeting with her hadn't been on the best of terms. Your sister, Weiss had started yelling at some other girl, who in time became her partner Ruby Rose. The poor girl was tripping over herself to apologize, and your sister was having none of it. You had done your best to calm down Weiss, until Blake had appeared. With only a few words about the Schnee family, she had been able to stop Weiss's ranting.

For some reason, it hurt you when she included you in the lecture. All you wanted to do was be different and stand out from the Schnee family. So when people saw you, they didn't see another Schnee, but they saw a huntsman named (y/n). Her simple words had hurt you more than any lecture your father could have given you. It was like she had been able to see into you, and know what could hurt you more than anything else.

But still, there had been something to her even then that you found yourself drawn to her. And later that night, you had been able to meet her on better terms. Weiss had been drifting to sleep, while you had been sitting and reading something. When you had glanced around the room, you had seen Blake, sitting and reading something. Even in her simple pajamas, she had been more beautiful than anyone you had known. For some reason, but one you're grateful for a voice told you to go and talk to her.

-Flashback your pov-

Looking across the room, you saw the girl from earlier. She sat, her amber eyes scanning the page of a book. The light of the candle shone on her, illuminating those eyes. Even then they made you wild for her. Looking down, you tried to focus on your own book, and yet you found yourself looking up and sneaking glances at her. You would also start to tell yourself to talk to her, but then found some way to talk yourself out of it. But, some voice kept nagging on you, telling you it would be worth it.

Eventually, you sighed and got up, bringing your book with you. When you made your way over to her, she looked up at you. Her glance was neither welcoming, nor was it a glance telling you you to go away. It was just a neutral glance, observing your presence, but even this was enough to make some of your confidence fade away. Already, you knew she was so different from any of the other girls who had been impressed with you.

" I don't mean to bother you," you told her, which was true. " I just wanted to read with you? The uh, the candle light would probably be better than what I was using." You kick yourself in the head mentally, knowing she can easily see through that. As you keep kicking yourself, your heart skips a beat when she nods at you.

" Of course," she says, moving a little bit for you to sit down. When you do, you get a chance to see her amber eyes up close, and you find yourself looking down nervously after a little bit. " Just, please don't be as loud as your sister was when she was yelling."

You give a small smirk, not fully able to tell if she's serious or not. " I know Weiss can be difficult sometimes," you admit. " But, she's still my sister. She's a great person underneath all of that." She nods at you simply, and you consider asking for her name. And yet, you find yourself too nervous to say anything more. Being with her makes you nervous, but in a good way. A different way than you had ever been nervous.

When your father yelled at you, the nervousness you had felt was out of fear. Like he was going to hit you, or hurt you in another way. But with her, it was different. The nervousness had been out of a sense of anticipation. Like something amazing was going to happen soon, and you couldn't wait to see what that amazing thing was.

However, you found yourself lost in your book, like always. The girl kept sneaking glances at the cover, trying to read the title. However, she didn't say anything, and you found your nervousness making it difficult for you to speak. In the end, it had been her that broke the silence. " What are you reading," she asked.

" La Corazon Del Agua es Verdad," you told her, and you saw her brow furrow with confusion. " It's a foreign book that got translated." She nods, and you see a form of conflict in her eyes, her curiosity clashing with her desire for silence.

" What's it about," she asked after a bit of a pause, genuinely curious. Even that had made your night, and made you happier than you had been in a long time. She had been the first person to ask you about it, and mean it.

" It's set in a poor town in Mexico, which doesn't have access to a lot of clean drinking water. A rich family comes to the town, and starts setting up a water purification plant. The son of that family is set to be married to another girl from a wealthy family, but he falls for one of the poor people of the town."

This makes her nod at you, before she goes to glance back at her book. " Hey," you ask, and she looks back up at you. " What about the book you're reading? What's that about?" She tells you the story premise of a man with two souls fighting for dominance, which makes you interested in it.

" Maybe you'll let me read it sometime," you ask her. She nods, and then goes back to reading her book, and you go to read yours. However, there's always that voice in your mind that doesn't want that to be the end of the conversation.

Before you can ask for what her name is, two girls come over to talk to her. One of them is blonde, and the other is the girl your sister yelled at earlier. The two of them try to talk with the raven-haired girl, but find themselves having limited success. It becomes even worse when your sister comes over to start yelling at them about how she's trying to sleep.

The argument seems like it can go on, and just keep getting worse and worse until the girl with shining amber eyes turns, and blows out the candle. This makes you laugh, and you manage to find where you were earlier, and then fall asleep with a smile on your face. Even then, the girl had fascinated you, and you found yourself wanting to know more about her, starting with her name.

-Flashback inside of a flashback-

After the teams had been made, you found yourself wanting to talk with your sister's teammate. Unfortunately, you hadn't been able to hear her name when it was called in the auditorium over the nervous chatter of people around you, as well as the mass rumbling of footsteps whenever people came in and out of the stage. You cursed yourself when you lost the chance to hear her name.

However, luck was on your side that day. When you made your way down to the library to look and see what Beacon had to offer, you found her sitting by herself, reading to herself. Nervously, you made your way over to her, and asked to sit down. She nodded, and then went back to reading her book.

" So, uh. I saw you're on team with my sister," you observed. She glances up, and then nods at you briefly. " I missed your name," you tell her, which makes her look back up.

" Blake Belladonna," she says simply, and you smile. Even her name sounds mysterious and like it holds some sort of power, or intrigue to it.

You introduce yourself, and she nods at you. She goes back to reading her book, and you sigh at your inability to spark up a conversation. However, you find yourself enjoying just reading with her, her just being there assuring in some weird way. It feels nice, and comforting. Eventually, the librarian comes over, and tells the two of you that it's about to close. Nodding, the two of you stand to leave.

As you stand to go, you notice Blake give the librarian a small smile, and she walks out. Even that much holds a beauty you had never seen before in your life. It was impossible to put into words the feeling you got from just that. When you had seen that, you had resolved to make her actually smile, and laugh.

-Flashback in a flashback-

The first time you made her smile was when you found out she read the Ninjas of Love series. Well, your sister had found out for you, having taken the time to go through Blake's bookshelf. This had made you smile, to find one of the most mysterious girl you had ever known reading romance, which bordered on smut. But, you were hardly one to judge, and in fact it gave you an idea.

You had called the bookstore back in Atlas, and had them get a shipment of the next volume before any other store would get it. When the book set arrived at your dorms, you had gotten all kinds of weird looks from your team, and everyone who saw you with them. But, you brushed it off, and had found Blake.

She had been reading in the library, so enthralled in her book that she didn't notice anyone. Nervously, you walked over to her, and sat down. She gave a small smile at you, happy to see you, having read with you almost every day. When she saw you holding the newest volume of Ninjas of Love, her eyes had widened.

" They're for you," you told her, and her eyes widened again. " I know you read these, so I wanted to get them for you." When you said this, Blake gave a real, genuine smile at you. Even though making her smile had been her plan, you weren't ready for that. The radiant beauty that lit up her face, the light in her amber eyes. It hadn't been too long after that when you realized you had loved her.

-Flashback in a flashback-

" Well maybe we were just tired of being pushed around," Blake had exclaimed. This made everyone in the room skip a beat in shock. She had been arguing with your sister about the treatment of faunas, and then the argument had escalated to being about the White Fang. Blake's eyes widen when she realized what she said, and then dashed out of the room.

Weiss had made some snappy remark, which finally made you snap at her. " What the hell is wrong with you? Blake is your friend, and then at the very least she's your teammate. We need to go and find her before she can get herself hurt."

" Why are you defending her," asked Weiss. " Do you even remember how many people we've lost because the White Fang had attacked us?"

" Yeah, I do remember that Weiss. But, we don't know Blake had anything to do with that. And even if she did, we need to hear that from her. We owe it to Blake to do that for her. She would do it for any of us."

" I can't believe this," she exclaimed. " We've lost family members because of a group she was in, and you're willing to defend her?! Why? Because you have a little crush on her?"

When Weiss had asked this, you started to remember all the times you had spent with Blake, all the times you tried to make her smile, the times you did make her smile. Her wittiness, and unique sense of humor. The big heart she had, and that was when you knew. You loved the girl so much.

" No, Weiss. I don't have a crush on her. I am in love with her." Blake's team all looked at you in shock when you said this, especially Weiss. You rolled your eyes and turned to the door. " I'm going to go find her. Don't wait up."

With that, you had dashed out to go look for Blake. The rain was pouring, but you didn't care. You needed to find Blake, and make sure she was okay. That was all you could think to do. Morning and night passed, and you were soaked to the bone. Eventually, you saw her sitting at a cafe with the monkey faunas that had started this entire argument.

Making your way over to them, the monkey faunas turned to you. " Hey man. Are you one of her friends? Because I have not gotten her to speak a single word to me in the entire time since I've been here." You gave a little laugh at this, relating to his difficulty with making Blake talk.

When she saw you, Blake's eyes widened a little bit, but not that much. Eventually, she had explained everything with the White Fang to the both of you, and then you had found yourself in the middle of a fight with the White Fang.

After a long battle, your sister had apologized to Blake, and then Weiss had pulled you aside. She apologized to you, and encouraged you to confess your feelings to Blake, which made you smile, seeing you had her support. For all your issues with her, Weiss was still your sister. Knowing she supported this made you happy.

Blake had become obsessed with the White Fang, and had begun pushing everyone away, throwing herself into her work. Your heart had broken a little bit, seeing her working herself into the ground, and rejecting the help of everyone else. Eventually, you had seen enough, and went to talk with her. You had found her in the library, reading something regarding the White Fang.

" Blake, you need to stop," you had told her, and she looked up at you in confusion, and almost outrage you would even suggest that. " You're running yourself into the ground, and everyone is worried about you."

She of course had tried to tell you she was fine, but you slammed your hands into the table. " Dammit Blake, you are not fine! I can see the bags under your eyes, and how tired you are. Do you even know what day of the week it is?"

She tries to tell you she does, but can't. However, she still tries to say she's doing fine, and that she isn't pushing herself too far.  You smile, and pull up your shirt a bit to reveal a scar hat goes from your stomach to your chest. Her eyes widen when she sees it, but seems confused as to why you're showing her this.

" When I was younger, I was always in Winter's shadow. And then Weiss started being able to sing, father started focusing on her. I wanted to get his attention, hell someone's attention. So, I trained everyday, not bothering to take days for rest. I thought it was helping, but it wasn't at all. One day, I went to fight Grimm in the wild, but I was on the verge of collapse almost immediately from all the training I had done. I would have died if Winter hadn't saved me." You pull your shirt down, and pull Blake into a hug. She seems confused a minute, before hugging you back.

" Please don't self-destruct," you had begged her. " No one is telling you to stop, just take it easy. Please Blake." When you pushed her away, you smiled at her before turning to go. Turning back to her, you smiled, and took a deep breath. " And if you do choose to go, then I'll save you a dance."

The night of the dance, you had been kinda bummed out, as Blake hadn't said anything about coming to the dance. But, as you walked down, she had come next to you, and said you looked great. You tried to tell her the same, but you were lost in how beautiful she looked. Blake had smiled at your inability to put together a response, before grabbing your hand, and walking into the dance with you.

The two of you had talked and danced all night, and then you looked at her nervously. " I love you," you had told her suddenly. She looked at you, a mix of happy and confused. " And, maybe that's too soon, or you don't feel the same. But I do Blake."

Nervously, she untied her bow, revealing her cat ears. " You're a Schnee," she said. " So, I'm sure these change things for you."

" No, they don't," you told her, and her face lit up before going back to normal. " Not much can change my mind, especially not cute cat ears. You look better without the bow Blake." This made her smile, but she still looked doubtful.

" What about your father," she had asked, which made you smile.

( My father and I see eye to eye on very little, and this will have to be one of those things. For all of his money, the man is a fool. My father owns many things, but my ability to choose for myself isn't one of them. There is nothing he could do to make me change my mind. When he sees you, he may only see you for your past, or for what's in your wallet. But, when I see you, I see a miracle on this earth. Come now. My heart is lonely. Please dance with me, and fill my heart with song)

Blake's eyes widened at you, remembering those words from the book you had let her read. When you said that, she took the bow and tied it around your arm. " I love you too (y/n)," she said finally, making your heart be filled with laughter.

-Present Day-

You smiled at the memory as Blake rested her head in her lap. She reads from a book, and you stroke her ears, making her purr. " I love you Blakey Boo," you told her, and she giggled at the use of her nickname.

" Blakey loves you very much also," she said, warming your heart.
