-(Day 1)-

I woke up excitedly and hopped off my bed. Classes start today, and we had about an hour to get ready.

-(Gabe)-

I awoke to a punch in my stomach, as I had for the past several days. Omega has been waking me up like this since the night I revealed that he was a Faunus.

"Come on dude. First day of school. We have an hour to get ready." He said, and went to go take a shower.

I got up off the bed, still holding on to my stomach where Omega punched me.

I went to get my clothes and Gamma out of the closet in front of the beds. As soon as I got everything onto my bed, Omega walked out, fully dressed and ready.

"Here, your turn."

He held the door open to the bathroom and I walked in.

After I got ready, we walked to Professor. Ports' room and sat on the second row near the front.

Several people were already there, but I didn't see anyone I that I knew.

"Hey, dude!" I whispered to Omega.

"Is team RWBY or JNPR going to be here?"

"Yeah, they should both be here." He whispered back.

I checked my scroll, it was 8:50.

Several minutes later, both teams came in and sat down in the row in front of us.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk...you guys are LATE!" Omega joked.

"Well, we wouldn't have been if Ruby hadn't lost track of time." Weiss said, giving Ruby an accusing look.

The class started out with Prof. Port telling us a story about himself fighting a Beowolf.

Ruby got bored and started doodling on her paper. I was pretty bored too and I was beginning to get drowsy.

I can guess that it was especially difficult for Omega, you know, being a Faunus and stuff. In fact, he almost fell asleep halfway into class, but I shook him awake.

"The moral of the story; A true huntsman most be honorable. A true huntsman must be dependable. A true huntsman must be strategic, well-educated and wise." Said Prof. Port.

"So, who among you believes themselves to be the imbodiment of these traits?"

Weiss immediately raised her hand."I do sir!"

"Let's find out! Step forward..." he said, gesturing to the metal cage to his right.

"...and face your opponent!"

Weiss went and got ready. When she came back, she walked to the front of the room.

"Gooo Weiss!" Yang shouted.

"Fight well!" Blake said.

"Yeah, represent team RWBY!" Ruby shouted.

Weiss turned to ruby and scolded her,"Ruby! I'm trying to focus!"

"Oh...sorry."

"Alright, let the match begin!" Prof. Port said and cut off the lock which held the cage shut.

The hatch fell open and a Boarbatusk appeared(pokemon reference).

It charged at Weiss and she moved to the left to dodge it.

She struck its side, but it didn't do anything since it was heavily armored.

"Haha! Wasn't expecting that were you!" Prof. Port commented.

"Hang in there Weiss!" Ruby said.

Weiss used her glyphs to carry her forward towards the grimm, but her weapon got caught in between its tusks.

"Come on Weiss, show him who's boss!" Ruby said, as Weiss struggled to free her weapon of the Boarbatusk.(yes, I know their weapons' names).

The Boarbatusk threw its head back, throwing her weapon across the room.

"Hoho! Now what will you do without your weapon?" Prof. Port commented.

The Boarbatusk charged at Weiss a second time, but again she dodged it by rolling out of the way, after which the Boarbatusk crashed into the wall.

Weiss ran over and retrieved her weapon.

"Weiss! Go for its belly there's no armor undernea-"

"Stop telling me what to do!" Weiss yelled at Ruby.

"What's up between those two?" Omega whispered.

I shrugged in response, he shrugged too.

The Boarbatusk began to spin towards Weiss.

She used a glyph to stop the Boarbatusk, jumped up onto another glyph and stabbed the Boarbatusk while it was on its back.

"Bravo!Bravo! It appears we are indeed in the prescence of a true huntress in training!" Prof. Port commented.

"I'm afraid that's all the time we have for today. Be sure to cover the assigned readings and...stay vigilant. Class dismissed!"

After that, we went to Prof. Ooblecks' history class, then Glynda Goodwitchs' class and a couple others.

After all the classes were over, we all headed back to our dorms.

It was about 4:00 p.m. I went to go take a nap for a while, Omega went down to the library to read his book until we had to go to the cafeteria for dinner.

-(Omega)-

I headed down to the library to continue reading my book until we had to go get dinner at the cafeteria.

When I got there, I found a quiet place to sit down and read.

Before I started reading, I checked my scroll for any recent news or events around Vale.

As I looked through, I noticed that there are quite a few dust shops which were robbed of all the dust.

Who needs that much dust? I thought to myself.

There are many causes for this that I suspected, but the likeliest one was the White Fang.

I wasn't really sure if it is them, but if it is...What are they up to?

I decided to try and figure it out later on. For now...I thought...I have to focus on staying away from them.

I shrugged mentally and started reading my book.
