Once everyone had finished their initiation and was back at Beacon, we all went into the amphitheater to find out our assigned teams.

Me and Gabe waited anxiously, along with our new friends we had made.

Ozpin called Jaune, Nora, Pyrrha and Ren up to the stage and announced,"Jaune Arc, Lie Ren, Pyrrha Nikos and Nora Valkerie. The four of you retrieved the white rook pieces. From this day forward, you will work together as... team Juniper(JNPR)."

Nora hugged Ren when he said that.

Ozpin continued,"Led by...Jaune Arc!"

Jaune looked very surprised and confused.

"Huh?! Led by...?"

Pyrrha punched him playfully but still knocked him down.

Everyone laughed. It was Yang, Ruby, Weiss and Blakes' turn to go up.

I gave them a thumbs up. Yang did the same.

"Blake Belladona, Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee and Yang Xiao Long." Ozpin announced.

"The four of you retrieved the white knight pieces. From this day forward, you will work together as... team Ruby(RWBY). Led by...Ruby Rose."

Everyone applauded, Yang walked over and hugged Ruby saying,"I'm so proud of you!"

It was me and Gabes' turn to go up.

"Finally, Omega Varsigma and Gabriel Sage McGraw. You retrieved the king and queen pieces. You are the only two-person team. Is that alright?"

He asked us."Yes, we are very much capable of working as a team."I replied.

"Very well then. From this day forward you will work together as...team Omega(OmGa). Led by...Omega Varsigma."

I was surprised, even though it was obvious by the team name.

Neither one of us is a good leader. We've always worked together as equals.

Neither one leading the other.

We both smiled at each other and he patted my back."It looks like things are shaping up to be an...interesting year." Ozpin said.

After the ceremony, we were assigned our dorms. Ours was next to team RWBY and near team JNPRs' dorms. When we came in, there were four beds, a small table, a bookshelf, a window and a cupboard."Finally!!!" I said when I saw the beds. It has been a long, and very interesting day. I took off the straps of The Destroyer which kept it on my back and I propped it up next to the bed on the small table.

"Which side do you want to take?" Gabe asked."I'll take right." I said and flopped myself down on the bed.

It felt good to finally be sleeping on a real bed and not some tree or on the ground like I had for a few months while running from the White Fang. We had brought very little with us to Beacon, seeing as we didn't have very much. As a matter of fact, Gabe was the only one who brought anything with him. He had some clothes, some hand tools and some extra sunglasses.

He didn't unpack though, he just set his stuff down on the floor and got on one of the beds on the left side."Night dude." He said."Night." I replied.

*Thirty Minutes later*

I couldn't really sleep, even though the bed was really comfortable. It wasn't because I was worried or anything like that, I was thinking about the day. I thought about the Nevermores and the initiation and all the new friends I had made. I smiled at the thought. I finally had friends, other than Gabe, who I could trust.

I closed my eyes and recounted the events again. Finally, I breathed deeply and let my wandering mind carry to a strange place that were my dreams.

*The Next Day*

I woke up slowly. I kept my eyes closed for a moment, then opened them. I looked up at the ceiling, forgetting where I was, then I remembered that I was in our dorm, at Beacon Academy. I also remembered everything that happened yesterday. Then, I remembered the days when I was running from Torchwick and the White Fang.

I pushed the thoughts aside and sat up. Gabe was still asleep, not making any noise. I checked the time. It was 7:43.

I rubbed my eyes, blinked a few times and got off the bed. I stretched my arms and breathed deeply. I was in a much better mood today, even though I wasn't a morning person. I was more of an...evening person,considering I'm nocturnal. I yawned again.

I turned and reached for my fedora, which was on the table next to the bed, in front of the window. I put it on my head, suddenly remembering as far back as when I first had it. It was given to me by my parents, when I was only 8. It was too big for me then, but I grew into it.

It would be a week before classes start so everyone could get supplies and stuff, so I decided that that's what we would do today, get some school supplies and other things.

I went to go wake Gabe up, but then I thought about doing by myself.'Nah!' I thought, and shook him awake. He woke up and stretched while yawning."Hey! Dude. Wake up!" I said."What time is it?" He asked groggily."Seven Forty-Eight" I replied. He stretched again."Why'd you wake me up so early?" He asked."We need to get school supplies and other stuff."."But pretty much everything is still closed until like...Eight." He said."Yeah, but not all of them. Do you want to stay here or come with me?" I asked."Where'r you goin'?" He asked."I'm going to get an instrument, we need some form of entertainment, plus, I need to practice, I've almost forgotten all the notes and stuff."."I think I'll stay for a second. Oh! Dude, we should eat before you go." He suggested."Oh yeah! Almost forgot about that." I replied.

I opened the door and stepped out onto the hallway. I heard some noises coming from team RWBY and JNPRs' dorms, the louder being team JNPRs'. I couldn't exactly hear what was being said, but it was clearly Nora who was making all the noise. Gabe walked out and closed the door behind him.

We walked past team RWBYs' dorm. Their door was wide open and I could see that Ruby was trying to wake up Weiss. Blake only starting to get up, and Yang was on a small table, similar to ours, writing something down.

"Morning!" Both me and Gabe said in unison. Ruby then stopped shaking Weiss and cheerfully said,"Good morning guys!" Yang looked up and asked us,"Where are you guys going?" Gabe responded,"We're going to get breakfast. Wanna come with us?"."Sure, as soon we get ready."

It took a few minutes, but once they were ready, we all headed down to the cafeteria outside, along with team JNPR, who tagged along. We sat at two different tables, me, Gabe and team RWBY sat at one table, while team JNPR sat at the table across from us.

I got some steak, milk and an orange. Gabe got some chicken, milk, barbecue sauce and pineapples. We all started eating and talking about what we needed to get, Grimm, weapons and other topics. We had a really good time, we ate and talked, but mostly talked, for the next half-hour. Once we all finished eating, or really, talking, we got up and went outside.

Everyone then decided, that they would all get some school supplies and stuff. Even Gabe, who said that he was going to try and find a computer for us to use.

I decided to go by myself, since we would be going in different directions anyway. Once I entered downtown Vale, I looked for a music store, if there were any.

It ends up that there was and I entered it. It smelled fresh inside, like crushed pines. I walked over to the guy who runs the store. He was an old man with gray hair and an apron.

I've been to Vale a few times before, and from what I remember, he runs a lot of the businesses and shops around Vale."Goodmorning!" I said to him. He only smiled back."Do you have any size 15 Violas?" I asked.(the reason I asked him for a viola is because I play one in real life)"Uh huh." He said, then went to go and find one. I looked around while he was gone. There were a lot of things in the shop, most of them being instruments. There were; Cellos, Bases, Violas and Violins of many sizes. Some of them were just for display though. There were cases, tuners, bows and rosin.

When he came back, he was carrying a black case with him. He set it on the table so I could see if it was the right size. I opened up the case and lifted the instrument up. I inspected it, looking at the back, the front, the bridge, the strings, everything. I plucked all the strings and tuned them. Then, the shopkeeper(we'll just call him that from now on) handed me a shoulder rest, which was the meant for the size of the instrument."Thank you." I said, and put the shoulder rest on.

It was exactly the right size. I took the bow out of the case as well, tightened it up and tried to remember the notes for "Adagio Cantabile". The notes came out clearly and resonated throughout the shop. I stopped playing and asked him how much it would be.(Let's imagine that one lien was...Fifty cents) It was 1000 Lien.(that's actually cheap, a normal professional instrument is usually $1500 or more) I paid him and left the store with the case on my back.

"Well, now it's time to get some school supplies and stuff, so uhh... I'm going to go...this way" I said to myself. I continued walking around and going into different stores. I ran into team RWBY a few times, as well as team JNPR. I decided to go back to Beacon after walking around for an hour, to drop some stuff off.

Once I got back, I set all the supplies I had gotten, as well as my Viola, down. Then, I sat down on the bed, not sure what to do other than wait.

Some time passed by before I decided to head down to the library to check out some books.

I made my way there slowly, observing as much as I could before I got there. Today was a slow day, but there wasn't a cloud in the sky and a gentle breeze was blowing. I went inside the library and quietly closed the door behind me. I checked out "Inheritance" by Christopher Paolini,(which is the best book/book series ever!!!) and walked outside. I planned to sit on a bench and stay there until everyone came and looked for me. It was the perfect day to read outside.

I sat down on a bench near the edge of the cliff, opened up the book to the first page."Chapter one..." I said, and started reading until I was so caught up, that I couldn't feel, hear, or notice anything around me.

-(Gabe)-

I made my way back to Beacon. I have too much to carry and only 2 arms, and a tail.

I walked towards our dorm as fast as possible without dropping anything. I had a PC(computer), and some school supplies in a bag, which I hung on my wolf tail.

Once I got to in front of the door to our dorm, I yelled,"Omega! Can you open the door? I have too much stuff on me right now!" No response."Omega?" 'Why isn't he doing anything?' I thought to myself. I set the heavy computer down, my arms were tired and aching. I turned the knob and walked inside."Omega?" I said, but no one was there."What?" I said, confused. I looked around the room. No sign of him.

I decided to look for him after I get all the stuff inside and out of the hallway. I moved everything inside and took some time to arrange them. I put the writing utensils on the table, the papers in the cupboard and the computer on the shelf. It didn't really fit the so I decided to improvise. I had some tools I brought with me so I decided to turn the shelf into another table.

It took about a half hour, but I did it. I sat down for a second, inspecting my handiwork, it fit the computer almost perfectly, and there were still 2 layers of shelf for other things.

I decide to look for Omega since it was starting to get dark now. I checked my scroll and called him. It was taking him a while to answer, but he finally did."Hello?"."Hey! Dude where are you? It's like five thirty!" I said."I'm outside." He answered."Where?Why?" I asked."I'm near the cliff reading a book." He replied."Ok, can you come back now?" I asked."Hm, yeah okay. Bye."."Bye dude." I put my scroll away and sat on the bed, not knowing what else to do.

-(Omega)-

I made my way back to our dorm. It was getting dark outside, and the sun was setting. I hurriedly made my way back to our dorm. I wanted to watch the sunset.

Once I got back and came in, I saw the computer on what was once the shelf."What the heck?" I said."Yeah...I turned the shelf into a...desk? I didn't know where else to put the computer so I uhh...yeah..." He said."Heh, Okay."

We didn't really know what else to do other than sleep. Gabe sat on the bed for a while and I watched the sunset. It was beautiful. The sky was an orange color and was shifting to purple.

After that, I had an idea."Hey dude, wanna talk to them?" I asked."Who?"."You know..." I gestured to the dorm next to ours."Them." I said." He thought for a while."uhhhhhh...sure, why not?" "Why SO?" I joked."Why NOT SO?" He replied."Why SO NOT?" I answered, or questioned. He shook his head and walked outside. I shrugged and followed.

When we got to their dorm, which was like, right there, Gabe asked them,"Hey, uhh...are you doing anything right now?"."Well, we're going to get dinner." Blake said."Is it ok if come with you? We're like, really bored right now." I asked."Sure, why not?" Yang replied."Why S--" Gabe stopped me my kicking me."Oww..."

We all made our way to the cafeteria. Everyone, except me, got food. We found a table and sat down and started eating. Gabe was the first one to talk."Do you guys smell that?" He asked everyone."You mean the food that you're eating right now?" I asked."No..." He said started singing the air."What is it?" Yang asked."Smells like...a cat?" He said. I thought he was referring to me, so I looked over at him. He shook his head, indicating that it wasn't me."Well, I don't see any cats anywhere..." Ruby said."Unless..." Weiss said.

I don't know if that's just her, but Blake was completely silent the whole time. So I said,"Blake..." She looked up."What do you think?" I asked."I think that...someone...has been around cats a lot and their smell just rubbed off on them..."."Yeah...and that someone smells A lot like you." Gabe said, looking at Blake. Everyone looked at her now. It seemed like she completely spaced out."What's wrong?Cat got your tongue?" Yang said. I put my head down and started laughing.

I think I was the only one that laughed, because Yang said,"At least SOMEONE appreciates my jokes." Then, all the attention went back to Blake."Is there something you're not telling us?" Weiss asked Blake. There was an awkward silence at the table, as Blake looked around at everyone."Fine, I'll tell you when we get back."."Okay then..." Everyone resumed eating, other than me of course."Why didn't you get anything to eat?" Yang asked me. Me and Gabe looked at each other for a second until I said,"Because...I...ate somewhere else?" Now everyone turned to me."What?" I said. I'm pretty sure everyone was getting suspicious. Then, I looked at Gabe. He had mischievous grin on his face. I shook my head and gave him a face that said,"DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!" Then he said,"You know, you smell like cats too Omega."

                              * * * * *

I was kind of nervous when we made our way back to our dorms."You just HAD to do do that, didn't you?" I said to him as we were walking back."Yes, yes I did." He said, still smiling.

We went into team RWBYs' dorm because Gabe said that Blake "Smelled like cats". When we all were inside. Weiss closed the door and we all sat on the beds. It was weird, one one side, there was a bed on some books like a bunk bed. On the side I was sitting on, there was a bed that was hanging from the ceiling. It seemed really dangerous and it made me want to sit on the other side out of fear of it falling on me.

"Well, Blake..." Said Yang."What were you gonna show us?" Blake sighed and she untied her bow.

Under it were a pair of purple CAT EARS!?!?!? "WHAT!!!!!!!!" I yelled. I looked at Gabe who was equally surprised. In fact, everyone was surprised."Awwww...they're so cute!" Yang said."I'm about to be done here." I commented."Wait! Gabe said that Omega smelled like cats too." Weiss said. Everyone turned and looked at me.

I just kind of sat there, not knowing what to do. My mouth was still open from the initial shock of what just happened. I sighed,"Please don't think of anything weird about this..." I took off my fedora, revealing black cat ears, I like to think of them as Panther ears. I always thought that panthers were cool. Everyone other than Gabe was shocked."Oh my gosh, are you two related or something?" Ruby asked."No! We are not!" I said and put my fedora back on."Please, don't tell anyone else." I begged them."Okay, we won't." Yang replied."But now I'm wondering..." Yang continued."If I scratch under your chin..."."No." I said."Don't." A smile crept onto her face."Uhh...I think it's time for me to leave now..." I said. I got up quickly and ran out the door as fast as I possibly can. Yang followed me though, and before I could close the door to our dorm, she came in and tackled me to the floor.

Everyone else followed."Help!" I yelled. Gabe just fell on the floor and started laughing, so did Ruby."This isn't funny!" I yelled."I know!" Gabe said."It's HILARIOUS!"

Then, Yang did the worst thing she could possibly do. She attempted to make me purr. It was the WORST thing she could've done right then. First of all, everyone was just watching this happen and seemed to be enjoying it. Especially Gabe. Dang it Gabe!!! Why'd you have to go and do that?

Second, I couldn't do anything about it. No matter how much I struggled, I couldn't get away."Why can't you just this to her?" I pointed at Blake."Cause then it would be weird." She replied."THIS isn't weird?!" I yelled. She started scratching under my chin."Stop it! Stop! Stop......" After a while, I just gave up. At this point, I realized that the only way I could get her off me, was if she got what she wanted.

I stopped struggling and let out a soft purr, as quietly as I could, but everyone heard it anyway."Pfffft!Ahahahahahahaha!" Gabe was absolutely cracking up. Yang finally got off of me and I got up."Hey!This is your fault!" I said to Gabe. He finally calmed down and said,"Haha, oh geez...Sorry.....pffff!Hahahahahahaha!" He broke down again.

I turned to face Yang."Please!Don't EVER do that again."."Ever?" She asked."Ever." I said."Why?" She questioned."Well, I barely know you. Plus, it hurts when you SIT on me, and I couldn't breathe!" I told her."Oh, don't worry. We'll have lots of time to get to get to know one another." She said to both me and Gabe.

"As long as it doesn't cause any physical harm, I'm fine with that. Okay?" I said to all of them in general."Okay then..." Yang answered sarcastically. I don't know wether to be afraid or not, but I guess I'll find out soon enough.
