Chapter 14: Part 1
A/N: Before reading this chapter, please go back and read the last chapter, if you haven't already. Everything after the 'ᎦᎦᎦ' symbol has been edited.

"What about it?" I asked Fia.
"So, you said that they we're looking for you to use your semblance, right?" Fia asked.
"M-hm." I nodded.
"Yes. So, before the thought of leaving them ever even occurred to me, I, along with several others, were tasked with designing and putting together a contraption that would allow the user to 'steal' someone else's aura and semblance." Fia explained.
"Yeah, that already doesn't sound good." Gabe commented.
"There was no way for use to gather enough dust for energy to make it function. The device had already been built and a lot of the White Fangs' resources had been put into its production."
"Okayokayokay. You're saying that, these guys have a thing, that can take the semblance and aura of other people and they need me to make it work?!" I said.
"Yep, pretty much. And we also deducted that all the energy required is available via the surrounding environment, like in the plants, animal and even Grimm." Fia added.
"Okay, why can't they use dust? Aside from not having enough of it." I asked.
"The device needs all that energy in one go. Even if they had all the dust they need, it's no use if they can only input a few crystals at a time. It would all be consumed and still, nothing would happen." Fia explained.
Gabe cut in, "I never actually realized how useful you'd actually be to us, not only as a teammate, but a source of information."
"Well, I'm glad to help." Fia smiled.
"One more thing though..." I said.
"Yes?"
"How did the White Fang know about me?" I questioned. I didn't know anybody affiliated with the White Fang before Blake and Fia. I didn't even know of their existence until I found myself being hunted by them.
"Maybe someone knew you or they may have been watching you. I don't know." Fia said.
"Aight. Guess that'll have to wait for another time." I said.
"Fia. Thank you. You helped us answer a lot of questions we had about the whole situation, but also spawned some new ones. For now, all I can say, is 'Thank you.'" I thanked Fia.
"Sure! Anytime." She responded.
"...And now, our next matchup..." Ooblecks' voice could be heard from the computer.
"Next match is about to start!" Cyan announced.
As we watched the dial spinning, I couldn't help but think about all the things we found out today.
Why does the White Fang have such a device?
Is there someone from the White Fang that could know me?
Are the people of Vale, of the world, in danger?
We're is Alpha?
For some reason, my thoughts turned to my brother. I feel like I don't even know him anymore. All I can remember is that one night.
When he left.
I wondered if I was ever going to see him again. What would he be like? How much has he changed.
I was beginning to get a little chocked up, but I was brought back reality when the dial stopped on Yang.
Another one from Beacon.
Against Mercury Black, from Haven. I might have seen him before. A few weeks before the Vytal festival, he and some of his friends were here.
"This should go well." Cyan commented.
"Should we call this match...kick boxing?" Fia joked.
"Wow! That's something Yang would say." Gabe said.
"She would be proud." I added.
We all laughed at each other's jokes.
"...Three, Two, One! Begin!" Port announced.
All attention went back to the screen.
The match began with mostly Mercury being on the offensive.
At one point, Mercury sent a hailstorm of shots down on Yang and the battle looked to be a loss for Beacon. However, knowing Yang, this would not be enough to take her down.
My point was proven right seconds later with Yang activating her semblance. Mercurys' attack only served to amplify Yangs' power.
After that, it was Mercurys' downfall. Yang punched the fight out of him, completely depleting his aura, winning the second match of the tournament for Beacon.
We could hear several others in their dorms also celebrating the win, as did we.
However, the celebration was short-lived. Moments after her victory, Yang turned back to Mercury and very forcefully punched his leg and a clear crack was picked up by the mics.
Everyone in the colosseum began to boo Yangs' action. All of us were simply left staring at the scene of the event wondering what had just happened.
Yang was a good person and she would never do something like that, especially to someone so helpless.
Medics rushed in, accompanied by Atlesian Knights and security.
I could imagine what the rest of team RWBYs' reaction might be. Their faces full of shock and disbelief, just like ours. I was more worried about Yang and what would happen to her than I was about Mercury.
It was obvious that the rest of the team was thinking the same thing.
After that, the screen appeared to turn off, going completely black.
* * * * *
Waking up brought back memories of what happened last night. Yang and Mercurys' fight, Yang punching Mercurys' leg and the information that we learned from Fia.
I groaned as I sat up. I ended up sleeping on Cyans' bed due to my match completely exhausting me.
I tried to get up without making the bed creak too much, but I ended up waking Cyan anyway.
She yawned asking,"Where are you going?"
"I'm going to check up on team RWBY. Do you wanna come with?" I replied.
"What about them?" Cyan point over to Gabe and Fia, who were still asleep.
"Well...I mean, I don't really wanna wake them up. Do you?" I said.
"Not really."
"Aight then."
We changed into our casual clothing before leaving the dorm and closing the door quietly behind us.
As we turned to face in the direction of team RWBYs' dorm, we saw two Atlesian Knights standing guard over the door to their dorm.
As we approached we could hear someone talking inside. We got a little closer before the door opened and Ironwood walked out of the dorm, closing the door and walking away. The Knights followed close behind him.
When he turned a corner, we walked the rest of the way to their dorm. I reached out to knock but the door opened again before I had the chance.
Ruby, Blake and Weiss walked out of the dorm, followed soon after by Jaune opening team JNPRs' door.
"Is she doing okay?" Jaune asked.
"She's doing the best she can." Ruby replied.
"If there's anything we can do to help, please don't hesitate to ask." Ren said.
"Well, in that case...Pyrrha!" Ruby exclaimed.
"Yes?" Pyrrha smiled.
"Be sure to win another one for Beacon! I'll watch tonight in case you're picked!" Ruby cheered.
"I'll...do my best!" Pyrrha replied.
"I think I've had enough fighting for one year." Blake said.
"Ditto." Weiss responded.
"Coffee?" Weiss asked Blake.
"Tea." Blake answered and walked away with Weiss and Ruby behind her.
"Well, I guess that told us everything we needed to know." I said.
"Don't you think we should check on Yang?" Cyan suggested.
"By the way they talked about her, I think we should let her alone for now. We'll get a chance later on." I replied, beginning to walk back to our dorm.
I opened the door loudly, for the purpose of waking the other two up. Only Fia awoke.
I walked to Gabes' bed and slugged his shoulder.
"Ay! Man, getupgetupgetup!" I yelled into his ear.
He made a face before turning to the other side of the bed.
I set a timer on my scroll to go off in one minute before tossing it next to his head.
Fia rubbed her eyes before asking,"What time is it?"
"It is...a quarter to ten. The colosseum opened at eight. Let's try and find a match or something to kill time until the finals match continues tonight." I said.
The alarm went off, waking Gabe.
"Ugh! Dude!" He yelled, nearly smashing the scroll as he sat up and tried to snooze the alarm.
I snatched it from him and put it in my pocket.
"Alright! Let's get going people!"
* * * * *
We got hooked up with three other teams and five matches before returning to our dorm to rest until the finals continues later in the evening.
"That was a very productive day guys!" Gabe said as he stretched out on his bed.
"To be honest, it really was. I learned more than a few things today." Cyan responded while she removed her gauntlets.
"Too bad we'll only be able to do it for a couple more days." Fia added.
"I agree, that's why we need to get up early to get the most out of the day." Everyone whined at my suggestion.
"Come on, it's only for the next few days." I said.
"A few days less of sleep." Gabe commented.
"It's actually only a few hours but whatever."
* * * * *
Having rested, eaten and dressed, our team was ready for another night of excitement at the Amity colosseum.
After that incident yesterday, we hoped that Beacon could make up for it.
On our way there, we stopped by team RWBY and JNPRs' dorms.
Team JNPR had already gone, however Ruby was still inside team RWBYs' dorm and we caught her as she was leaving.
"Oh! Hey guys! Were you about to head over to the colosseum?" She asked.
"Yes, and we were going to invite you along." I answered.
"Where's the rest of the team?" I asked.
"Yang's not coming, but she'll watch from the dorm. Weiss and Blake are watching from somewhere else. I'm just by myself at the colosseum. It's cooler watching it live!" Ruby explained.
"Okay, well you're not alone now. We're comin' with you."
Ruby's countenance improved at the invitation.
"Okay. Let's go. We all wanna get some good seats before we end up having to watch tonight in our dorms." I said.
In our excitement, we completely forgot that contestants have a reserved seat for them, making our rush to the colosseum pointless. We were actually able to get the last few buckets of popcorn before they ran out, so I guess it was worth it.
Entering and finding our specified area, we sat down to enjoy tonight's matches. Hopefully there will be no accidents like last time.
The remaining contestants walked into the arena, lining themselves up. Ruby noticed something and got out of her seat to go someplace else.
As she did so, the randomizer began to spin.
"Where's she going? She's gonna miss some of the match." Gabe said.
"I have no idea." I said.
The dial stopped on Pyrrha and on Penny Poledina.
"Aww...its Pyrrha too." I commented, remembering how Ruby wanted to watch Pyrrha's match and it was the reason that she had come out in the first place.
"Three! Two! One! Begin!" Port announced.
As the fight commenced, some commotion could be heard from where Ruby headed off to. After hearing what sounded to be gunfire, I became worried and excused myself from the team to check out what was happening.
I followed the noise to a gray door. One of the corridors we used earlier to get in.
I opened the doors to reveal Ruby in combat with another, very familiar student. Mercury Black.
"Hey! What's happening here?" I said.
Mercury turned his attention from Ruby to me.
"We're having our own match here." Mercury stated before turning again to Ruby and rushing.
I launched forward using the O-D's, passing by Mercury and stopping between him and Ruby.
"What are you doing?! Aren't you supposed to have a broken leg?! Why aren't you in a hospital or something?" I asked.
The same kid who got a broken leg from Yang and was carried off to a hospital the night before was now fighting with us in a corridor in the same place he was injured.
"That's for me to know and for you to never find out." Mercury said before resuming his advance.
"Ruby! Go!" I yelled.
Ruby used her semblance and sped away to another exit at the other end of the corridor.
Mercury continued and fired a few rounds from his greaves.
The attacks were dodged and I flew at him, knocking him away with a full-body impact.
I picked him up and used the thrust of the O-D's to blast us apart. Him to the end of the corridor and myself to where Ruby had exited. Two more short bursts were enough to get me to the doors on the other end.
I ran through and the crowds were making a foul noise, as if they were disgusted at something.
Ruby was kneeling on the ground looking at the center of the colosseum.
I looked at the big screens to see what they had to show.
Pyrrha was standing and her opponent, Penny, in pieces.
First Yang and now Pyrrha and Penny. Both 'mishaps' seemed to be targeted to Beacon Academy's reputation.
"Something's not right. Something's up."

But I do have:
Can you get mad at this?
Okay, I guess you can but whatevs.

I hope that it will be enough.(probs not)
Thank you all for being patient with me. Thats pretty important for me. I can't update regularly because my schedule changes. So I can't thank you guys enough.
