The battle between me, Gabe and Drayce is definitely one that I was looking forward to. Gabe has done well holding his own against Drayce. He didn't end unscathed, however and he has lost nearly half his aura, despite his speed and agility, Gabe was not able to dodge all of Drayce's attacks.

Gabe rejoined me at the center. He looked tired, but our fight is far from over.

"Do you want me to restore your aura?" I asked.

"That is the stupidest question I have ever heard!" Gabe commented.

"Well, do you?" I ask him.

"Obviously!" He shouted.

I channel energy into him from the surrounding grass and the heat from the geysers. We only had a moment to recover before Dracue blasted out of the ruins towards us.

We dodged and he landed in the forest.

Gabe's aura was only at 79%. While mine was at 68%. I didn't realize how much damage Ugo had done to me. But, I knew that if I wanted to face Drayce, I would need more than 68%.

"Gabe! I need to recover! Hold him off while I recover both our auras!" I instructed Gabe.

"I mean...that's what I've been doing this whole time!" He responded.

"Alright! So, keep doing it!"

Drayce emerged from the shade of the trees and walked to the center where me and Gabe were waiting for him.

"Alright! I'm through playing! The real fight begins now." Drayce said.

Drayce began to levitate off of the ground.

"It looks to me like Drayce is about to transform!" Oobleck announced.

"Right then! We gotta be real careful with this now! Whatever you do, do not fall below sixty percent aura! If you do, draw attention away from yourself so I can come and revive you." I told Gabe.

"This is not a video game. This is a real battle!" Gabe said.

"You don't say!"

Drayce began to glow and soon enough, the glow became a blinding gold light, which lit up the arena and the night sky. A deafening roar came from Drayce. After which, Drayce, in his serpent-dragon from, burst from the light.

Me and Gabe backed up into the forest for cover. Not that it would do much, but it would make a good cover for escape.

The Dragon was about the size of a King Taijitu, only it had golden scales, talons and the head of a dragon, which, properly, resembled Drayce in his normal, human form.

Drayce turned his attention to me. He obviously knew that he would never be able to catch up to Gabe. However, with the all-powerful Omega-Drives equipped, he would have a difficult time catching up to me as well. A major advantage when you are fighting a dragon that takes up pretty much the whole arena.

He sped towards me is a zigzag pattern, like a snake slithering on the ground. He opened his jaw, aiming for my exact position. As he got closer, he released a wave of flames, which instantly set the forest on fire, forcing us out of there and into the other biomes.

Gabe shot out of the forest, through the flames, but did not get burned due to his incredible speed. I shot myself to the right and followed behind Gabe just as soon as Drayce collided with the ground where I was standing seconds before.

We, again, regrouped in the center. Drayce recovered and hovered in a coil above the forest.

I took the opportunity to choose a song from a playlist to add to the dramatic effect of the battle.

The song started and Drayce roared, quickly flying towards us again. Gabe and I split in different directions. Drayce, once again, followed me.

I stopped at the edge of the volcanic landscape and Drayce, again, prepared to head-butt where I was standing. Drayce produced a tongue of flames, which was more of a distraction than a threat.

As he neared, I leaped over the flames using my left leg. I planted my right foot on his snout and fired the Drives. The force sent me blasting forward and his face smashing on the rocks beneath.

As he tried to recover, Gabe flanked him and managed to strike Drayce's back, just behind his skull. Gabe used his semblance to quickly regroup with me in the center.

The dragon began to flow along its whole length like before. Drayce was, presumably, going to change back or into another form.

"Aight, get ready, get ready!" I said.

The light dissipated and in its place, a bulkier, golden dragon materialized. The form Drayce had taken the first time I saw him.

Looking over at the big screen, I noticed that his aura has either been completely healed, or we haven't done any damage to him at all. I was really hoping for the latter.

Drayce prepared to charge at us and we prepared to dodge. He rushed towards us at an incomprehensible speed.

I blasted upward, but was unable to activate his aura in time to dodge Drayce's wings. Drayce collided with Gabe and reduced his aura to 62%. Drayce immediately turned his attention to me.

"Aight, if that's whatchu want!" I said.

He sped towards me as before. The Destroyer began to rotate. He reached my position, but I was already gone. I was above him and the Destroyer's blade was glowing green.

I heaved the Destroyer down to the ground and the center, where Drayce was. The blade made contact and the center became covered in debris and smoke and was completely evicerated.

Drayce was nowhere to be found, but looking at the screen, it was clear he had taken damage. His aura was at 89%, he barely saved himself a chunk of aura.

I cursed. I was about to retrieve my weapon before Drayce appeared literally out of nowhere. I was a bit too startled to respond. Drayce whipped around and hit me with his tail.

The attack did 12% aura damage and the impact with the ground did another 10%. My aura was at 44%. There was no way for either me or Gabe to recover with Drayce moving that fast.

"Gabe!" I shouted.

"What?"

"We're gon take this as an actual fight, where our lives would depend on the outcome." I said.

"Oh, you mean like when the White Fang were after you?" He said.

"Yeah, like that." I said.

"We gotta start breaking out the combos." He said.

"Mm, yeah, but we ain't gon be able to 'break out the combos' if Drayce is still a dragon." I said.

"So, we gotta get his aura low enough to the point where he can't maintain him form." Gabe suggested.

"Yeah, and we kinda need to do it quick, he regenerates really quickly." I said.

"So...what do you wanna do about it?" Gabe asked.

"Hold him still and blow him up!" I said.

Just as I finished saying that, Drayce dives out of the sky and shoots blue fireballs at us. We dodge and keep discussing.

"Gabe, you're better at close-combat. Distract him and keep him in one place while I charge up the beam!" I instruct.

"Easier said than done."

Drayce got back on the ground and was immediately attacked by Gabe. Gabe was much better off than when Drayce was all over the place charging at us in all directions. He was still taking on some damage as Drayce was spewing out blue flames.

Drayce was effectively in one spot now, focused on shaking off Gabe. I charge up the beam using the energy stored within the dust crystals that poked out of the volcanic biome.

"Alright! Gabe! Move!" I shouted.

Gabe didn't seem to hear me from that distance and because of the fact that he was attacking Drayce. I ran closer and yelled again.

Gabe seemed to have heard me this time and turned towards me. Drayce saw his opportunity and took it. He charged past Gabe and towards me. I had no choice but to dodge the attack. The beam had taken a fifth of my aura and it would probably only take one direct hit to knock me out of the fight.

I channeled energy from the Destroyer to the Drives and blasted upwards. Drayce, however, saw this coming and lunged upward, following me.

I pretty much screwed at that point. Drayce was just as fast as I am and I was beginning to slow down. Drayce opened his jaws, preparing to chomp down and cut me in half.

As I was fearing for my life, Gabe jumped up from behind Drayce, punched him in the snout and basically saved my life.

Drayce, stunned by the unexpected attack, fell to the ground. This was my opportunity, and boy did I take it.

"You're welcome. Now light him up!" Gabe said.

"That's a bet!" I said, aiming the Destroyer at Drayce.

"Here's 50 pps for you fam!" I said.

I let the beam do its thing for three seconds before cutting off the flow of energy. Drayce's aura dropped to 22%. Drayce was no longer able to maintain his dragon form after he began to glow once more, returning to his human form.

"Now!" I shouted.

Gabe was the first to attack. I followed up by launching particles at Drayce, while Gabe attacked, avoiding the particles. Gabe shot at Drayce with Gamma in dual pistol mode while I slashed at him.

Gabe ran to the other end of the arena, before using his semblance to rush back and land the finishing blow on Drayce, reducing Drayce's aura to 11%.

"It appears we have our winners!" Port announced.

The crowd cheered and the match was over.

"Yyyyyeeeeeeaaaaaassssss!!!!!" I said.

"That's what's up!" Gabe said before high-giving me.

"Teamwork ma boi!"

"Right, looks like Beacon's going on to the finals round!" Gabe said.

"You bet!"

Drayce got up and walked over to us.

"Good match Omega." He said and shook our hands.

"I hope to see you and your friends in the future."

"Don't worry, you will!" I said.

"Good luck on the singles round! You may need it!"

We got out of the arena and returned to our friends. They congratulated us while Oobleck and Port went over the details of the battle.

"Ladies and gentlemen, we have our final round contestants!" Oobleck announced.

"Yes we do Barty and it's an interesting bunch! The teams better be ready for tomorrow's fights! It's gonna be a good one!"
