-(Goodwitch's Class)-
"Who would like to go first?"
I've been waiting for this all day.
Glynda looked in our general direction.
"Welp, y'all went last time, time for me get down there, hehehehehe..." I said to Gabe and Cyan.
"I'll go!" I said.
I jumped down, as usual.
I never go to the locker rooms. Not like I need to anyway.
The arena smelled weird today. They needed to fix it up.
There's craters and dark spots everywhere.
When I landed, I looked up to the rest of the team. Specifically at Fia.
"You're coming right?" I asked.
"Yeah...sure." She said, almost hesitant.
She came down the proper way, through the locker room and out into the arena/amphitheater.
"Ready." Goodwitch said.
"Ready." We both answered.
"Begin!"
Fia had gone back to our dorm and retrieved her weapons and took off her White Fang attire, so as not to give away the fact that she was once part of the White Fang.
The dragon heads manifested on her arms, like they did the other night.
After which, she took a fighting stance.
Right away, I could tell that she was obviously not a long-range fighter. Maybe a mid or close-range.
An advantage for me, since I am a long to mid-range.
I decided to get some distance.
Jumping back and firing the greaves, we were half the amphitheater away from each other.
I decided to attack first.
I unsheathed the Destroyer and immediately began fired it up.
The rotation created a cloud of dust behind me and a gust throughout the massive room.
I maintained the rotation and fired off several particles.
None of which hit their target.
I put out a continuous stream of particles, consuming a quarter of my aura.
As I found out, Fiammetta is fast as hell!
Even with all the particle going in every direction, she's able to dodge and deflect every one of them.
"Hmm, you're pretty good at dodging attacks." I commented.
"But, let's see if you can dodge something at light speed." I said.
Stopping the rotation, and forming the Destroyer Bow, I charged up another quarter of my aura into the Destroyer bow.
I was going for 80 PPS. Which is basically the same amount that it took to one-shot Ruby last time. PPS is just 'Pulses Per Second'.
I took aim.
Fia was getting ready to dodge.
I pulled the trigger on the Destroyer, releasing the beam for three seconds.
The other side of the amphitheater lit up in a ball of dust and flames.
When the dust settled, I looked up at the screen displaying our auras.
Fia's has not been affected.
"Duh heck?!" I said, confused.
I looked to where Fia was when I attacked and saw a red clump of dust coming towards me.
Out of instinct, I jumped and simultaneously activated my greaves.
The action was late though and the once-liquid clump hit my right leg and solidified in place.
The weight dragged me down and another clump shot out of the crater the beam had made.
This time, it hit my chest and solidified my arms shoulders.
I could only move my elbow from this position.
Fia emerged from the dust, still inside the crater and made her way closer.
I was going to activate the greaves when I realized an explosion could occur.
All I could do was turn my body and use the Destroyer as a shield from the dust that was being shot at me.
Eventually, the Destroyer was completely covered and was too heavy to lift up.
If an explosion were to happen now, it would blow up half of the amphitheater and me along with it.
I decided I had no choice.
I tried to throw the dust-covered Destroyer of Worlds as far from me as possible.
I was trying to get away from the Destroyer, but more dust hit my legs and arms.
The dust on my arms threw me off balance and I fell backwards.
Unable to get up, I could do nothing else but drain the energy within the dust, to replace the lost aura, which didn't help much, only restoring 20%.
Fia walked over to me.
"Had enough yet?" She said, smirking.
"No." I said, taking this chance to drain aura from her to replace my own.
She noticed this and distanced herself.
My aura was now up to 80%.
'I can take an explosion' I thought.
"Come on, you know you've lost." She taunted.
"Not until I'm down to red. Until then, I still have a chance at winning." I said.
"Whatever." She said.
She ran up and the ground beneath her exploded, using her semblance.
When she was above me, she used her semblance again to form dozens of explosive orbs above us.
The orbs grew in size, and presumably, explosive power.
"Ever heard of 'rain of fire'?" She asked when she was back on the ground.
"What about it?" I asked.
"I took that to the next level." She said.
The orbs came down. I prepared for the worst.
"Rain of bombs." She said.
The 'bombs' came down and the entire arena lit up as dozens of exploding orbs went off all at once.
There was no way I could've endured that.
Maybe if I could move around to avoid them and had the Destroyer.
But, in this case, all I could do was take the hits.
As layer upon layer of orbs came, so did my aura.
After that explosive onslaught, the amphitheater was littered with craters and burn marks.
"Match, over." Goodwitch announced.
Fia helped me up and said,"Good match."
She let go and I fell down again.
"Owwww..."
"Sorry."
She helped me to my seat.
Gabe made fun of me for the rest of the day.
