"Nightmare where are you going?" Says Ruby as I walk out the main door.

"I'm not putting you all in danger because of my past mistakes." I say that with a slight tone of anger.

"You don't have to do this alone!" She says as she grabs my shoulder.

I pause dead in my tracks and let out a sigh. "Ruby, I know you mean well, but this is different. These guys, along with the White Fang, have either tried to abduct me, or kill me. I'm not putting you all through that again."

She let's go of my shoulder. The look in her silver eyes was depressing. I could see a tear give more of a reflection to them. "But... isn't the goal of becoming a Huntsman to protect others?"

"It is, and that's what I'm doing, for all of you. I've seen enough death in my lifetime and I refuse to watch my friends suffer because of what I've led to our doorstep." I let out a deep sigh and I struggle to say anything else.

Ruby, with tears in her eyes and the sound of sadness in her voice, hugs me as tight as she can begging me not to go. "Please... don't go...."

"Thank you, for all that you have helped me with. Ever since we first met, I've been able to show more of my true colors. You've encouraged me to move out of my hard, and slightly stubborn shell and experience what friendship really means."

I pry her already shaking hands from my back.

"Just do me one favor."

She wipes a tear off her cheek. "Anything."

"Be the best person you can be. And more importantly, don't be afraid to be yourself. Who knows, maybe I'll see you around."

I start to walk away and before I dissapear, I say to her, "goodbye my friend."

I fade into the fog, and that might be the last time I get to see my friends, my family, again.
