Honestly this is my favorite episode of season 14 so far.

"Get the fuck off me!"

"It's me!"

"I KNOW!!"

-=Nightmare's P.O.V=-

Next day came by and we all were prepared to go on our first mission. I couldn't help but overhear Ruby complaining about not being able to go to quadrant 5 to exterminate Grimm.

"We'll determine that the amount of Grimm occupying the area is to high for first years." Ozpin was talking to team RWBY.

"With all do respect Professor, I think me and my team would agree that 8 people is more than enough people to take on that much Grimm." I told him. We were ready and waiting to back into the fight no matter what.

"Are you and your team volunteering Mr. Satero?"

"Yes headmaster."

"Make that 9 people." Said David all armored up and with a Gravity Hammer and an SMG. "Figured you guys could use the extra strength."

"Well, Mr. Anderson, this is quite a surprise seeing you here."

"Professor, Nightmare's my best friend. And I haven't seen him in a year so I need to catch up with him."

"Very well. You all will be shadowing a professional huntsman and he can send you back to Beacon if he finds your skills unsatisfactory. Good luck."

We make our way to find that Doctor Oobleck out of all people is the huntsman we're shadowing.

He gave his whole rant about survival.

"I honestly think he should have a seizure from all the caffeine he drinks." Said David

"No kidding."

-=Timeskip=-

"Spread out. I think we should go into teams of two. One from each team." I said

"I suggest we pair eachother based on what skillset would work best." Said Blake.

"You all can figure that out, I need to speak to your team leaders." Stated Oobleck.

Me and Ruby shrugged and followed Oobleck to the perimeter of the city.

"Jeez those are big Grimm. You got bears, giant birds and scorpions, now elaphants?" I asked.

"Whoa... let's kill it." Ruby cocked her sniper.

I put my hand on her shoulder.

"I... yeah no, I wouldn't do that."

Poor little thing pouts. I messed with her hair a little and tell her something.

"We'll take down one of those things some day, okay?"

"Okay. So Doctor Oobleck, why did you need us?" Asked Ruby

"Ahh well I'm glad you asked Miss Rose, now I want either of you to look around and tell me what you see."

"Lots of old buildings, some cars."

"Mmm..... good guess but-"

I interrupt. I know what this is. I know this pain.

"Lives..... lives that could've been saved. I'm all too familiar with the feeling. During the war, my unit was on a colony that was considered compromised because Covenant came in faster than we could track. When we got to the city, all we saw were people running in terror while the marines that were trying to evacuate them were being slaughtered."

"Yes, and that is why we're here. I believe that I can make a greater impact with my mind. With every student that passes through my class, I'm able to equip them with the knowledge to fight the Grimm and save lives." Oobleck wasn't wrong. Knowledge is power and with that kind of power huntsman and huntresses can re-direct that power torwards the Grimm.

We went back to everyone and they were exhausted from fighting Grimm.

"All clear for now, I have a feeling that there will be more at night." Regret stated.

"Which is why we shall set up shelter in that building."

We did, got our mats out and laid down next to the fire. David volunteered to stay up all night for watch because he was trained to stay up for hours without sleep. We both were. He insisted I get some rest.

I couldn't sleep though because Weiss, Blake and Yang were wondering why Oobleck wanted to know why they wanted to know why they wanted to become huntresses. He also asked my teammates but they would tell another time because they were trying to sleep.

"It's a job to protect the people." Said Weiss.

I opened my eyes and sat up.

"Not just a job. It's a duty. I know because me and David were apart of the same unit along with one other person. Protecting people from the Covenant was our duty. You guys remember me telling you about Carol right?"

"Yeah, she was your other teammate that passed away right?" Ruby asked.

"Yeah. I was the best marksman of our team, David's a master of close quarter combat and making things explode, and Carol was an expert at stealth and was known for her agility. Basically she was the ninja of our team."

"Hate to cut you short on your story telling mate, but I just saw a White Fang patrol go by. Why are they here?" Asked David.
