-=Nightmare's P.O.V=-

So there's this big dance coming up and I can use this as an excuse to get out and socailize. Making friends has never been my strong suit but since Snow has been encouraging/ sort of forcing me to make friends, I don't really have a choice.

We're all picking out clothes to wear. I go to my part of the closet and grab a black suit with a maroon tie. It's something I brought from my home on Earth.

"Nice suit. A little different from the uniforms the school gives out."

"Yeah, a little change doesn't hurt."

Someone knocked and open the door to find Ruby in her dress with a big package next to her.

"Wow... you look nice." I couldn't say that without blushing a little. I know I made her blush.

"T-thank you.... but that's not why I'm here. This thing was meant for you and was shipped to our dorm by mistake."

"For me? Wait a minute I know this address. It's from the City back on Earth."

"Fuck it dude, open it. We have time." Said Regret.

I grabbed the knife from its sheath and cut the tape open. And my god. I was nearly speechless when I took out the product.

"No fucking way! No this can't be real... it is! Holy crap it's a Taken sword! And a note. It reads,

"Nightmare, this is Cayde. I stopped by the Reef when you called last week and asked Variks if he had any replacement swords considering he's running expieriements on the Taken. Also he sends his regards.

~Cayde-6, Hunter Vanguard representative"

"Dude can I have it?" Asked Regret.

"Hell nah bruh!"

"Damnit worth a try..."

The dance room is packed and Yang was the usher.

"Ooohhh you look so cute!"

"We need to have a serious talk about how Weiss fights in these."

Well considering she was struggling to walk on our way down here it really didn't surprise me when she made that comment.

"You all look nice too! Did you get your suit from your home Nightmare?"

"Yeah I've had this for a while."

"Well have fun!"

I went to go and sit down with some punch after about half an hour. Luna sat next to me while Regret and Snow were dancing with eachother. He had asked her out a couple days ago.

"Not a dancing person?" She asked.

"No, not really. If I'm being honest I really can't dance to save my life."

"Ha. Slow dancing isn't that bad. It's doing the cha cha that can get to you."

"Yeah.... no date?"

"Nope. Ever since my accident it's been getting hard to adapt. Besides I'm not that into dance dates anyways."

"I can understand why. Events like that, they can change you for life both on a physical and emotional level."

-=Yang's P.O.V=-

I'm glad Blake was able to come out tonight instead of letting this investigation destroy her. And she really needed to sleep too, dear God.

I had an idea thouugh. I looked at Ruby and Nightmare and thought 'hey, I should get them to dance.' I turned to Blake for help and when I told her she agreed. I don't see her smile that often but this time she got the most devious grin ever.

"I'll grab Nightmare, you grab Ruby." I told her.

"Okay but shouldn't you grab her since she's your sister?"

"Yeah but Nightmare's as strong as me. And I can't help but feel he'll try to resist."

"Gotcha. Well I'm off to get her."

I walked up to him and pulled him away from his conversation with Luna. I think she caught on and said "Bye! Haha!"

I met Blake and Ruby in the middle of the dance floor and paired them together.

"Yang is this really necessary?" I saw them both blush it was probably the most adorable thing. And I can imagine how hard it can be to get a spartan to blush.

"Come on you two would be great together! And similar color clothes too!"

"Black and maroon are just my normal colors."

"Well no turning back now. Have fun you two!"

-=Nightmare's P.O.V=-

We stood there for a few seconds looking at the ground awkwardly. I couldn't stop myself from blushing, neither could Ruby. So one of us actually talked.

"Do you want to actually dance since we both got dragged over here?" I asked her. Come on Nightmare, keep it together.

"Uhh... sure. We're already here."

I took her hand, she put her other hand on my shoulder and I put my other hand on her waist. And just on that moment all that nervousness went away. It felt less awkward than it was a minute ago.

I haven't felt this happy in a very long time. Things like this is what really brought all of us closer as friends.

"This is really nice Nightmare. Can I tell you something? I've had this on my mind for a while now." I have a feeling I know where this is going the moment she asked.

"Sure, go ahead." I started to blush.

"I've, been thinking... ever since we met, you were always so quiet, so isolated. But as time went on you would always come talk whenever you had the chance. I guess what I'm trying to say is, I've grown strong feelings for you."

"Ruby, I..."

"For god sake mate, just take the damn hint."

I turn around and see David in a tuxedo.

"You are such a buzz kill."

"Haha, I know. But still, wink wink, hint hint, nudge nudge?"

"Yeah I got it. *sniff*sniff* have you been drinking?"

"No.... maybe.... okay yes I have."

"Dude...."

"Hey, it takes like half a bottle of whiskey just to get me buzzed. I got an iron gut. You have a lighter or fire dust?"

"I think you've been drinking to the point where you're judgement's impaired. And no I don't, go ask Yang. We're trying to have a conversation."

"Alright I'll go, I'm just giving you shit mate."

"I know. Catch you later."

I turn back to Ruby so I can talk to her again.

"Anyway...."

During that conversation she was laughing the entire time.

"He reminds me of my uncle Qrow."

"Mr. Branwen? He doesn't seem like an alcoholic."

"During his time off he is."

"I think David's just trying to drown his sorrows. Anyway back to the question before we WERE RUDELY INTERRUPTED! DAVID! I know that when we first met, there was always something special about you. You never cared about the bad things I've done. You're always so kind and accepting and forgiving. Tell you what, after we get back from our missions, you want to go to Vale and grab a bite to eat, go see a movie, something?"

"We'll worry about that later. Let's just have a good time right now." She says as she puts her head against my chest.

So this is the longest chapter I've written so far. And to be honest, you had to see Ruby and Nightmare fall in love at somepoint considering that I include her in most other chapters. I fell asleep lastnight writing this part so I might get another part out tonight. I think quick on my feet so I can update as much as possible. Later everyone.
