As soon as we got back to Beacon, Nightmare went up to the C.C.T to make a call to Earth. I don't know who, but I followed him there and I could over hear him talk to someone.

"Wait your sword exploded?" Said this mysterious voice.

"Yeah, in my face!"

"Jeez, you doing alirght?"

"Yeah, I have a massive migraine though. One time when a flash bang was dropped at my feet, and the other from Dark Drinker exploding."

I moved in little closer but he noticed me.

"Ruby, it's okay you don't have to be discreet about following me."

"Oh okay. Who ya talking to?"

"My name is Cayde-6. I'm the hunter representative for the Vanguard. And you are?"

"Ruby Rose. I'm just a huntress. Nothing too important..."

"Ahh come on. You managed to make to Beacon!"

Nightmare interrupts.

"Well.... I was his protégé when I worked as a mercenary for the Vanguard."

"Hey uhh, hate to cut ya short, but I gotta go. Scouts are yelping in my ear about a heavy Taken presence near the old colony ship launch sites in the Cosmodrome."

"Alright, thanks for letting me vent for a bit."

"No problem. See ya."

-=Cayde's P.O.V=-

"Sorry about that, fall back if you can, Zavala sent a squadron of Titans to your location, they'll clean up your infestation problem."

As soon as I walk away I hear Zavala trying to stop me. Something told me he might.

"Cayde, where are you going?"

"Mmm... no where important."

"Really... why do I find that hard to believe?"

"Because you don't trust me. I'll be back in a bit."

"Cayde!"

"Sorry, can't hear you, my audio receptors must be malfunctioning!"

And just like that, avoid another rant from him. I swear he's taking his job a little too seriously. He's serious enough already, but to try and keep me here, that's taking it a bit too far.

Oh hello Reef it's been too long. I remember when the Queen had me locked up in that damn prison Variks created. Speaking of which, he's just the Fallen I'm looking for.

"Hello Variks. It's been a while."

"What do you want Cayde?" He said with slight annoyance.

"Your help actually. Nightmare needs a new weapon. He lost his during his fight with what's his face, Roman Torchwick?"

"I've only heard bad about him. Only pain and suffering he leaves in his wake. But how could he break a Hadium blade?"

"Giant mech. And we both know what Willbreaker can do."

"Absorb and direct energy. But give it too much and-"

"Pow! Bye bye badass sword."

"Right.... if it pleases you, I have a sword for him. Better, and stronger. And quite frankly more powerful."

He goes into his little hut and pulls out what appears to be a taken sword.

"Ooh. Fancy."

"You are familiar with Hive arcana, yes?"

"Yeah, what about it?"

"Add Taken power to the mix and you get an indestructible weapon."

"Knowing Nightmare, he'll be jumping out of his seat to get his hands on this."

"Is that all?"

"Yeah, thank you Variks. I'll see if there are any supply ships heading to Remnant tomorrow."

"Send Nightmare my regards."

"Will do. And thank you again."

Looking at this thing makes me want to keep it. Real flashy. But I guess we'll find out what he thinks.
