Night had fallen once more on the world of the unknown. RNJR-X settles down in their sleeping bags for the night. Xaito was still awake, even though his clone body needs even a few minutes of sleep, he couldn't find an urge or a need to attempt it. Climbing up a tree, he reaches the top and views the strange world around him.

"You feeling well Xai?" a familiar voice asks. He turns to Renella C, a mind clone of his older clone sister. 

(Note: Mind clones don't seem to age so they look like the younger version of themselves) 

She sits on a nearby branch. Being a weightless figure of Xaito's sight, she could be on the weakest branch and not even notice.

"I'm fine Renel, just..feeling homesick I guess.." Renella C carefully makes her way to Xaito and hugs him from behind.

"Better?"

"A little" Xaito says with a quiet chuckle. It was always the little things that the mind clones would do to be more realistic that would make him laugh. "How is Sis doing? Is she eating properly?"

"She has been quite restless that I can say for sure. As for eating, your mind clone sometimes have to drag her away from her work to actually eat something other than instant noodles and T.V dinners." Xaito chuckles some more and sits back onto the tree trunk. Renella C reappears in front of him. "Though she doesn't show it, she is actually quite worried about you." Renella C puts her arms out to the sides and balances on the branch like a tightrope. "She misses you after all the jazz and frazz of Beacon falling"

"I know, but I wanted to keep Ruby company. I did give others mind clones to talk to, even you"

"And I did the same with you. It's kinda lucky we share the Doppelganger Semblance, or I would have never been able to reproduce your Mind Clone Semblance"

"Yeah..lucky"

"You miss her a lot, don't you"

"Mhm..I wish I can talk with the real her"

"Well, maybe you can" Renella C says cheerfully.

"How so?"

"Through me. I can transfer what you want to say directly to her"

"What, like a scroll? Do I need to climb higher to get better reception?" Xaito jokes. Renella C jostles him playfully. "But honestly, you can do that?"

"What? You don't know how good your own Semblance is?" Renella C gawks.

"I..haven't really tested it..that much" Xaito answers honestly. Renella C ruffles his hair.

"It's alright. Now talk to me, I'll send it to her"

"Kay, thanks again"

"No problem, now start. I don't have all day" Renella C says sticking her tongue out.

Meanwhile with Renella..

She was fast asleep as Xaito C (Xaito's Clone) was building a small fort of books around her. He chuckles softly when he looks as his master piece.

"The sleeping lion" he chuckles at the sight. "Perfection!"

"Huh! Wha-" Renella jolts up and crashes her head into the roof of the book fort. "What the- Xaito!"

"Haha, good morning sleepy head. Well more like good afternoon"

"Xaito, what did I say about messing with the research books? I don't want to mix up the ones I read and didn't read"

"Relax Big Sis. I made sure I used ones you already read"

"Gah! Fine. What time is anyways?" Renella asks ready to fall asleep again.

"I'm guessing six"

"Then it must be..around twelve where Xaito is now. I do miss him so.." Xaito C sneaks up under her and nudges her with his head. "Oh you" Renella teases ruffling the hair of the green haired rascal. A moment later, she receives a telepathic message from her mind clone.

"Renel? Something the matter?" Xaito C asks the frozen sister.

"Oh I'm fine. My mind clone sent me a message from my Little Xai. He was saying how me misses me so much and so on." Xaito C crawls up pushing Renella's chair back as he sits on her lap. He loved to act as the small child because Renella would act so motherly to him.

"You know I can do the same too" Xaito C says curling into a fetus position.

"You can? Like send him a message back?" Renella asks moving the chair back and forth in a rocking motion. She hugs the little Xaito clone as her own child.

"Yeah, it'll take a minute to travel but it'll reach"

"Then tell my little bro this.."

A new connection was made as Renella and Xaito traded message back and forth. They talked the hour away of their adventures, well Xaito's adventures and the new facts and knowledge Renella had gained.

"It's been forever Big Sis Renel" Xaito sends over.

"It has been what? Like three years since we parted? Maybe more?" Renella sends back.

"I know you have been down and out with your research but please tell me you have been eating right"

"I'll be honest, I think the chemicals and artificial by-products are doing wonders on my skin"

"Renel!!"

"Just kidding of course. Your mind clone does pull me out to the farmer's market time to time"

"I'm glad to hear"

"What about you? I heard you had to fight a poltergeist Grimm"

"Yeah, that was really cool. It took control of objects and stuff, like a...poltergeist"

"Haha, oh Little Xai"

"Aw, I told you not to call me that! I'm not little!"

"Yeah but you'll always be a century younger than me"

"Oldie"

"Greenie"

"Ancient sack of flesh"

"Inconsiderate slacking weirdo"

The two clone siblings laugh at their name calling habit. "Where have you reached now?" Renella sends igniting the conversion once more.

"Dunno the area. Ruby has been trying to lead us by being the map leader but, I'm sure we're lost"

"Haha, yeah. Ruby can be a bit strong headed at times. Leading her own path, her own way"

"What have you been up to while I was gone?"

"Oh mainly research and stuff. Sometimes I might treat myself to some scouting at Beacon. To see the latest activity and any changes"

"Still the same even to now?"

"Yeah..the Dragon Grimm is acting like some sort of..beacon. Ever since it's arrival, despair and misery is always circulating it. It's like an everlasting cycle. People see the ruins and the stone dragon, they feel misery, fear, anger, despair and the cycle starts all over again"

"I hear you. Speaking of Beacon, how are the..light clones; If I can call them that; doing?"

"To be honest, I'm not sure. They fought off any climbing Grimm that could be trying to break the Dragon free but other than that, they can't really do anything else. I saw one of the two trying to stab the dragon at the heart- where in most myths, was the only weakness to any sort of dragon, but it quickly stopped trying. I'm guessing it feared it might crack the Dragon free, since it's only trapped in stone not turned to stone"

"What about Ruby's Silver eyes?"

"Just the usual so far. Mystic abilities, rare genetic trait, possibly thinned out of existence, so on so forth"

"And Crimson Eyes?"

"I still don't know if I ever heard of that. Even in the past it seems to be never heard of. I'm finding no record of it either"

"Not one thing?"

"Nada, other than a single sheet saying 'Crimson combat Silver'. That is the only reference so far"

"Thanks anyways Big Sis Renel"

"Anything for you..Little Bro Xai"

"I better get to sleep soon. Goodnight Sis, thanks for talking to me"

"Night Bro, I'll talk to you another time"

"Eat well Sis, I don't want you thin as a bone when I see you"

"Ha ha. Very funny, but yes I'll do my best. See you soon." Xaito sighs in happiness as he climbs down the tree. Ruby had awaken to the noise.

"Xaito? What are you doing awake?" she asks sitting up in her sleeping bag.

"Oh sorry Ruby. I couldn't sleep so I was talking with Renella. I didn't mean to wake you"

"It's fine. Um, can you do me a favor?"

"What is it?"

"It might be almost night time where Yang is..can you.."

"Tell her a message for me"

"Let's hear it.."

A strange and magical dust flies over the telepathic message. It speeds it's travel and soon reaches Yang's mind clone just as she was heading to bed.

"Oh, um Yang?" her Xaito clone calls to her.

"What is it? I was about to sleep"

"It's a message from Ruby"

"Forget it, I bet it's a from a week ago"

"Actually, it's from today. About a minute ago in fact." This made Yang turn over to face him.

"What..did she say?"

"She says..'Dear Sis, oh what am I saying, this isn't a letter. Gah! I'm getting flustered and stuff. Um sisimissyouandstuff. Youlostsomuchbutistill-"

"Whoa, whoa. Do you have a slow down function?"

"Yeah..'Um sis, I miss you and stuff. You lost so much but I still want to say this. Good night Yang. Have good dreams knowing I still keep you in mind. Um see you soon, Ruby'. It ends there..um Yang?" Small tears streak Yang's cheek.

"Oh come her you lovable little greenie" Yang says holding the Xaito clone with her arm and rubbing his forehead against his in pure happiness.

"Uncle! Uncle!" he cries out. Yang tackles him onto the bed and snuggles close as she falls sleep with him in her arm. "Heh.." Xaito C says slipping away like smoke. "Sleep well Yang. Life will bloom like a flower one day in the future."
