A/n: Happy Mother's Day. To my mother, to your and maybe your grandmothers too.

*Tears well up*

To a faithful mother, of a strong hearted girl. 

The world may feel like it's on your shoulders but in truth, your not carrying it alone.

A strong woman is by your side, carrying it with you, watching you grow older and see the world anew.

"Happy Mother's Day mom. I brought you some white roses. I wasn't sure what type of flower you wanted so I bought these because it reminds me of the white cloak you always wore." Ruby kneel down to the tombstone and places the bouquet of rose she had brought with her. Today was indeed Mother's day. Many student of Beacon had returned home to greet their mothers. Others..stayed home for reasons of their own. "Did I tell you about Xaito? He found his sister a while back. Her name's Renella. She pink eyes, Indian skin like Xaito and violet colored hair. They're both clones so they don't know their mothers. Sorta like me, they know very little of who their moms were"

"Talking to your mom?" Ruby turns around to see Renella walk up to her.

"Oh hey Renella. Yeah, I usually try to visit my mom's grave when I get the chance to. Today's mother's day so I thought of visiting her early." Renella sits beside Ruby.

"I always wonder what a mother is like. A real mother"

"Yeah. Wait, what do you mean by real mother?"

"Oh right, you don't know about that. When I was young, some scientists acted like my 'parent' figures. A mom and dad figure to guide my life. When a year passed a new set of scientists would take the role and become my 'parents' so I had a taste of all types of parenting. Though, I never knew what a real blood mother or father would do in my case or how they would act toward me"

"That's..sad to hear"

"It's alright. That was almost many years ago. Now I get be my own mother"

"Huh? Your own mother?! You're pregnant!?" Ruby exclaims.

"What? No, I meant Xaito. I get to take care of him like my own" Renella says calming Ruby down.

"Scared the Dust out me"

"Sorry" Renella apologizes. "Um, if it's alright with you..can you tell me about your mother?"

"My mother?"

"Yes, so I can make a sense of what a real mother is like"

"I don't really remember much about her but, I can try." Ruby sits in a more comfortable position as Renella pulls out a drawing pad and her Dust sash.

"I'm gonna sketch for a little, if that's okay with you?"

"It's fine." Renella empties a vial of black Dust onto the drawing pad.

"How about you begin with what she looked like?"

"Okay. She had pale skin like I have and her eyes were a silver color like mine. She always wore white and I think she had short hair, black in color." Renella shows the sketch she was working on. "Wow, you're good"

"I know, keep going"

"Okay, she was a great fighter. From the stories I've heard of her, she was really good. Even the Grimm were scared to face her"

"Fierce enough to keep danger at bay" Renella notes to herself.

"It always felt like she was off fighting Grimm but there were times she stayed home to take care of me. I remember once I had the flu and my mom went to the coldest place in Mistral to get the best ice for my fevered temperature. Another time, I had a nightmare and she was there waiting by the bed when I awoken. I guess her instincts told me I was having a bad dream"

"Even better than the best clone the laboratory made?"

"Pretty sure. Only a mother can tell if something is bothering us. Even if we try to hide it, they'll know somehow"

"Mothers sound so special. Even more special than us Clones"

"Yeah.." The two stay silent as Renella sketches away with her Dust.

"Do you miss your mom Ruby?

"Huh?"

"Do you miss her? Your mother, Summer Rose was it?"

"Well yeah of course I miss her. Everyday in fact. Though when I look in the mirror, I see a familiar face.."

"Your mother's face, right?"

"Yeah. These silver colored eyes are something that will always remind me of her. As long as I live, I'll know she's watching over me"

"I'm sure she's smiling right now, knowing your happy to have a mother like her"

"Thanks Renella." Renella smiles and looks to Summer's grave. A figure in white, whiter than snow was floating above Ruby. Her skin was pale and silver eyes adorned the face. She smiles and wraps her arms around Ruby in a hug. Renella knew very well who this figure was but kept quiet as she finishes her sketch.

"A mother's love" Renella whispers to herself. She adds the final touches to her drawing and shows it to Ruby. Tears well up in her eyes. "I-is it bad? Did I mess up anywhere?" Renella asks in worry.

"No, it's fine" Ruby says wiping the tears. "It's really beautiful is all. Thank you"

"You're welcome." Renella takes the sheet of her drawing pad and hands it to Ruby. She smiles brightly and hugs it to her heart. The white clothed figure looks at the picture as well. Tears of happiness well up in her eyes. She says thanks to Renella. Though Renella couldn't hear it, she understood what was being mouthed. She mouths back 'Happy to help' and grins brightly. She was happy to see a silent reunion, especially of two blood related people.
