"Velvet..your the cause of this epidemic"

The word made it feel like the world was collapsing around me.

"I..I was the cause of all this? But..but how?"

"Renella you got to be joking right?" Xaito says trying to break the despaired atmosphere.

"It's sadly the truth. The cells on the eaters are exactly alike to the ones Velvet just coughed up." She points to the microscope. Xaito steps forward to take a look. It was still dawning me that I was the source of all this. I..I just couldn't bear it. While the two siblings were busy looking at the cells I make a run for it. I didn't want them to be bothered with the source of this epidemic.

No POV

An alarm goes in the laboratory.

"Dah! What is it now?" Renella says checking the security screen. The eaters had broken through and were entering the safe house.

"They got in? Shoot, what are we gonna do now?" Xaito asks Renella.

"I'll hold them off. There is a back entrance you can escape from. Get Velvet and get out of here"

"Okay. Will you be alright doing this alone?"

"I didn't spend most of my years as a ghost for nothing" Renella quirks. Xaito nods and dashes for the back exit. The zombies had entered the testing room. "Time for you to taste an epidemic of my own. Dust Storm!"

Xaito makes it to the exit and dashes through it.

"Velvet! Grimm I knew I missed something." Xaito turns around to get Velvet when a X-Clone stops him.

"She already ran off" it tells Xaito.

"What do you mean? No you don't mean she-"

"Yes, she ran off when Renella told her she was the cause of the epidemic"

"Salemonty" Xaito curses. "Where is she now?"

"She on top of Beacon Tower. For some reason the zombies aren't going after her"

"Whatever it may be, I'm going after her."

Velvet POV

I shiver from the cold.

"Why did I think up here was a good idea again?" I look over the edge. Zabbits or Rambies were roaming all over the place. It was all because of me. I did all of this, why did it have to be me. The edge crumbles. It breaks off the floor causing me to fall.

"Aaaah!" I scream. A hand catches me not a moment too soon.

"Velvet! Are you okay?"

"Xaito? What are you doing here?

"Saving you from demise of course"

"Let go of me"

"What?"

"I said let go of me. I don't deserve to live after all I did"

"Velvet you didn't mean to do all of this. This was all accidental"

"But everyone is gone.."

"Not everyone. You have me. If I let you go then, I won't have anyone to share life with"

"You have Renella"

"She my sister. I want you...you to be there by my side all this time." A tear falls onto my cheek. "So please let me help you."

"Xaito wouldn't give on me. He wanted me with him, right?" I take his other hand and climb up. "Thank you Xaito. I'm sorry for acting like that"

"It's alright. Sometimes we act like irrationally in times of crisis." I hear some moans and groans from the trap door. "Oh no, they followed me up here"

"Oh Xaito, what are we gonna do? They don't seem to be interested in me and they might try to eat you." Xaito turns to me and places his hands on my shoulders.

"Velvet...bite me" Xaito says blankly.

"Wha-"

"Bite me. That way I'll be like them. We won't have to keep running if I'm like them"

"T-there has to be another way." The trapdoor bangs from an impact.

"Velvet there isn't time. Just bite me"

"I-i can't." Xaito pulls me into a hug. His shirt was pulled down to one side exposing his right collarbone.

"I know you can. We can get through this together. I promise that"

A/n: Sorry, I've been reading a lot of Chibi Vampire. A manga series where a vampire girl produces blood instead of drinking it. In one of the books a similar scene happens so I kinda used that idea here.

I sigh in defeat. Xaito wanted this to happen. I move closer to his collarbone. He smelled so nice. So spicy. So..delectable.

"Xaito.." I cry out. I bite down onto his collarbone. My teeth felt sharp against his flesh. Xaito flinches and hugs me harder as I bite down. His blood pools around the bite mark.

"Vel..vet" Xaito groans as he falls backward. I lose my balance and fall along with him. I land into his arms with a light thud.

"Xaito? I'm sorry, I bit too hard" I apologize. He doesn't respond. "Xaito?" I shake him lightly. His eyes flutter open. A really pale green color, his face still had some warmth to them. His head had rabbit ears too.

"Ah my head. Velvet? Did..did it work?" I kiss him deeply on the lips.

"Oh course it did silly. We're both special like that." Xaito returns the kiss. His warm lips against mine. There was nothing in the world I would want more.

Everything suddenly began to fade away as light floods my vision. A hand trails my cheek. This felt familiar. No..it couldn't be. I scream and throw the blanket onto the Zabbit. I began to beat it up.

"Your- not- gonna- eat- me!" I yell with each punch. Coco and Renella rushes in. "Renella! Coco! Help it's a rabbit zombie monster"

"What?" Renella asks in surprise. Coco carefully approaches the covered figure and unwraps the face.

"Whoo, thanks. Mind helping me with the rest?" Coco wraps Xaito's face up.

"Yep it's a zombie. Someone get me my suitcase"

"Wait that's Xaito!" Renella cries out. She unrolls Xaito from his blanket coffin.

"Ow, I was only bringing in some soup" Xaito says rubbing his chest. "Oh Xaito I am so sorry! I thought you were Rambie or Zabbit I think"

"What is that? A zombie rabbit person?"

"Something like that.."

"We'll just leave you two alone now" Renella says pulling Coco outside.

"You better not be doing some weird things to her" Coco warns Xaito. Renella closes the door. An awkward silence.

"So..you feeling for some soup?" Xaito asks.

"Uh, yeah sure." I sit on the bed as Xaito pours me a bowl of veggie soup. They had little rabbit shaped carrots and cucumbers. "Um I'll eat it later. I had too much rabbit stuff for one day" I tell him putting the soup aside.

"Did you have a nightmare or something?"

"Yeah, some sort of rabbit zombie apocalypse." Xaito rubs his right collar bone. "Did something happen to your shoulder?"

"It's nothing really." I notice it was redder than the surrounding area and it had what looked like teeth marks. "You missed out on a lot of Easter decorating"

"It's okay I guess. The flu got me at the worst time." His eyes looked really pale in color.

"Yeah, there is always next year." He moves closer to me. "Here let me check your temperature." He touches his forehead against mine. I bend my ears and carefully touch the top of his head. There were some rough patches of hair but nothing that could resemble rabbit ears. "Your temperature seems to have cooled down." My ears bolt upward as Xaito moves away. "Looks like you fever died down" Xaito says with a smile.

"That's great to hear." His teeth looked sharp as well. "It couldn't be true right?" The door bursts open as Zabbit-fied members walk in. Ruby, Weiss, Blake, Sun, Yang, Renella, Coco, and even Srav. I should've been screaming but something felt right. They form a circle around me before facing the camera.

"Happy Easter Everyone!" we all cheer at once.
