"Pardon" Xaito says picking me up bridal style. Srav and the others lunge at us. Xaito pulls me away and jumps off the roof. I clutch closer to him as he lands on the bottom. The moment he landed I hear some cracking noises. Did Xaito break one of his bone? He makes a dash for it with me in his arms.

"Xaito where are we going?" I ask about a mile later.

"Somewhere safe" he replies calmly.

"Where is that?"

"I don't know. Anywhere really. Just somewhere we can think for a little." Xaito continues to run until we found ourselves at the laboratory ruins.

"Here?"

"It has a safe bunker somewhere, we can hide there for the while." Xaito lowers me onto my feet. He winces in pain.

"Xaito are you alright?"

"I'm fine. Let's find that bunker" he says hiding a groan. We search around for a bit, moving rubble about and looking under the structures. I soon find a steel door heading downward.

"I think I found it Xaito" I call to him. Xaito limps to where I was.

"I think that's it. Let's get it open." Xaito grabs one side of the door and tries to pull it off. "Gah, tougher than it looks"

"Maybe you just need to knock?"

"Doubt that would work.." I ignore Xaito and knock on the steel door. It make a dull thudding noise when I knock. The door soon creaks open.

"Well I guess we're in." Xaito's jaw was hanging open in surprise. I giggle and pull him along. We walk down a set of stairs, red bulb lights on the wall lit the way. "Hello?" No response other than my echo traveling down the stairwell. A few minutes later we reach the bottom.

"No one seems to be-"

"Duck!" I make a Light-Copy of Aegis as stone spikes were launched at us.

"Who's there? Are you those zombie things?" The voice sounded so familiar.

"Renella?" Xaito calls out.

"Xaito?" Renella walks out of the shadows. "Oh my Grimm! I am so sorry!!" She runs to us and hugs us in apology. "I thought you were one of those.."

"Zabbits?" I ask.

"Rambies?" Xaito asks.

"Well whatever they are. I am so glad you guys are okay"

"Renella, what were you doing down here anyways?" I ask breaking from the hug.

"Oh right. You guys got to see this." Renella leads us down the hall. The walls had similar red lights and strange creatures were on display. Renella soon brings us to a laboratory room of some sort. A Rambie citizen was in a glass cage. "I was able to catch one of those..zombies and I did some tests on them." She shows us a computer with her data.

"Um what does it say? I can really read science stuff"

"In short, these people are infected with some strange virus. It turns them into..zombies"

"But wait, this is a normal person. Blake and Sun were turned as well" Xaito tells her.

"I did some testing on that too. Apparently the virus is air borne and faunas people are immune to it. That is..until they get bit"

"That explains why Srav turned" I tell myself. "What about you guys? How come you didn't turn?"

"It's probably cause we are clones. Our bodies are made to resist and even re-boot in times of epidemics. So we're sorta immune to it" Renella explains.

"So how do we cure it?" Xaito asks.

"We need to find the source of it. Where it all began in short."

"Achoo!" I sneeze. "Sorry, I guess my flu hasn't gone away yet"

"Hmm" Renella hums in thought.

"Here" Xaito hands me his coat. I pull it over my shoulders.

"Velvet could you cough into this cloth for me?" Renella asks me.

"What for?"

"I need it to test something"

"O-okay." I do as told. Renella takes the cloth with a gloved hand and checks it under a microscope. She scoffs in disbelief.

"I didn't want to think this was true..but it is." She turns to face us. Her face said a look of despair. "Velvet..your the cause of this epidemic"
