A/n: This is the finale of the Cupid Clone arc. And just in time too. School's gonna bite me again this week. Oh right i didn't mention i was off this whole week, which was why i was able to post these chapters every other day.

enough of that..Let's get back to the story

                       The next day...

Velvet had become very anxious when Xaito hadn't returned her calls. She tried calling from time to time to see if he would answer, even throughout the night. No answer. This worried her even more. She asked around team RWBY and JPNR on his whereabouts but, even they knew little.

"Oh, I'm so worried. He missed our date the other day and even passed by with a fruit salad for a breakfast in bed gift" Velvet explains to the two teams.

"Don't worry we won't sleep till we find him" Ruby reassures Velvet.

"Xaito a tough customer. I'm sure he's fine" Yang adds in.

"Yes I know, he really is a tough person but he so kind and soft on the inside" Velvet says about to daydream.

"When was your date supposed to happen?" Sun asks.

"Oh about three nights ago. We were supposed to meet at the fountain"

"Three nights ago? Sun didn't we have our date then?" Blake asks.

"Yeah and Xaito was helping us out with the food and music" Sun explains.

"Oh Xaito even help me make a pancake surprise for Ren about two days ago" says Nora.

"And he helped Jaune with our movie date last night" Pyrrha adds in.

"So that's why he was so busy. And the fruit salad was an apology gift. Oh I wish I hadn't doubted him" Velvet says drooping her ears.

"And he's sorry for doubting in himself" a new voice says aloud. Everyone jumps to hear Xaito's voice.

"Xaito! Is that you? Where are you?" Velvet asks looking around.

"I'm actually a mind clone. Xaito is really weak so I can barely project myself"

"Where is Xaito now!?" Ruby asks.

"The real Xaito is in trouble. He's being held at the old White Fang hideout. You need to hurry. They put some drug in him so he's barely able to keep his eyes open" the mind clone explains.

"Then let's go!" Yang shouts.

                                In an abandoned factory...

"Where the Grimming Flubastic Season am I!?!?!" Xaito screams internally. Xaito was being suspended off the ground by ropes. He doesn't remember anything after Natalia giving him a hug. Everything had gone black after that.

"Gilbplaster, why do I feel so weak and tired too? I can barely open my eyes"

"Honey! I brought home a super clone!" A voice yells from afar.

"Who..who is that?"

"Xaito junior? Can you hear me? It's your good o'l Uncle Roman. Remember?" Roman says as he rounds the corner.

"Ro...man?" Xaito manages to mumble.

"That's right X-Baby! Your uncle Roman managed to capture you after your idiot of a boss couldn't do much at all. Heh, you had so much more where you were headed off with the power hungry bastard. Now though, now your just to dangerous to even exist. So in short...we're gonna have to destroy you"

"Des..Stroy!?" Xaito asks in fear. Roman only laughs.

"Even when dosed almost thirty times the norm of a regular person you still manage to show some fear. It's hilarious!" Roman laughs some more. "And yes we have to Des-Stroy you." The floor below Xaito opens up as a large pool of bubbling acid rises up.

"Oh my Doppel Dust. He is not joking" Xaito thinks to himself.

"Oh scared now? That's so cute. Maybe your girlfriend will come by to help you?" Roman taunts.

"Velvet! Yeah she can.."

"Oh did I forget? You had some hard love problems and now your too scared to even look at her."

Xaito's head droops in disappointment. He had missed their date and even spilled his apology fruit salad all over her. He shouldn't even call Velvet his girlfriend. A tear sheds from his eye.

"Oh? Did I break you already? Jeez your no fun at all." Roman pokes Xaito with his cane. "I'm already so bored of you. Well guess I'll just have to end you." Roman snaps his fingers. The ropes begin to lower Xaito into his demise. "I had fun while I did. Anyone hungry? I can go for lunch." The wall to the factory explodes.

"Well how about I serve you guys a Knuckle sandwich with a side of bullet shells?" A voice yells out. Xaito chuckles. The only person who would make such quips would be..

"Blondie?" Roman yells out in fear.

"Not just her. Both Teams RWBY and JPNR and Velvet" Ruby shouts.

"Velv..vet?" Xaito manages to mumble.

"Rrgh get them!" Roman commands.

"Go!" Ruby yells back. The White Fang members charge as the hunters and huntresses charge back.

A/n: (Let's skip the fight shall we? This is supposed to be a loved story arc)

"Grr. Why can't anyone do anything right!?" Roman growls in anger. Neo arrives with a helicopter and drops a rope ladder. "Well my ride is here, may we meet again Beacon Brats." Roman steps onto the rope ladder. "Oh and a parting gift." Roman aims his cane at the rope keeping Xaito above the acid pool. "Have a nice..well this isn't gonna be nice at all." He fires cutting the rope.

"Xaito!" Everyone yells in fear. Everything goes into slow motion. Ruby attempts to run and catch Xaito but stops short when she see Velvet already ahead of her. Velvet creates a light copy of Aegis and uses it as a launching pad. She jumps off and catches Xaito moments before he touched the acid. They tumble a few feet from the pool. The two were bumped up a little from the crash landing but were fine. Velvet looks over to Xaito and sees he wasn't moving.

"Xaito! Xaito are you okay? Answer me please" Velvet cries out shaking Xaito's body lightly. Xaito opens his eyes before smiling lightly. He sits up and leans on Velvet.

"D..Did I ever tel..tell you..how much I Lik..liked you?" Xaito manages to says. "Oh Xaito." Velvet buries her face into his shoulder. 

"You could've just told me what was happening. I would've understood"

"Then acce..accept this as my apol..apology." Xaito raises Velvet's head and lays his lips against hers. Velvet's ears perked up in surprise but she returns the surprise. The kiss lasts for what felt like an eternity before they broke for air. Velvet giggles a little before wrapping her arms around Xaito's neck, letting their foreheads touch each other. He had done some crazy things for love.

                     The next day...

                                                                Velvet's POV

I wake up to the new morning. A hand was stroking my ear.

"Morning sleepy head" I hear Xaito greet. I nuzzle into his embrace.

"Morning to you too." Ever since we got back, Xaito had been in the infirmary getting the anesthetic cleaned out of his system. I stayed close to make up all the time we had missed. I guess I must have slept through the night beside him.

"You guys awake yet?" Nora walks in with a stack of pancakes in hand.

"Morning Nora" Xaito says greeting Nora.

"What's this?" I ask.

"A breakfast in bed surprise" Ren says walking in with two crowns. He places them on our heads.

"Hope you enjoy your.."Nora begins.

"..royal breakfast your majesties" Ren finishes. They both bow. I had to giggle at how silly this was.

"You guys didn't have to do this" I tell Nora and Ren.

"Well Xaito helped us so we had to return the favor" says Nora. They walk out the infirmary with a smile. I look back to Xaito. He was rubbing the back of his head in embarrassment. We enjoyed our 'royal breakfast' and got ready for the day. Xaito was still a little weak from the after effects so we strolled around the market. He leaned against me for support and kept an arm around my waist.

"Sorry for putting this burden on you" Xaito apologizes.

"I don't mind. It just means I get to be closer to you." Xaito chuckles before laying a kiss on my forehead. We walk for a little while until we met up with Jaune and Pyrrha. They were doing some shopping when we passed by.

"Hey how about we treat you guys to a movie?" Jaune suggests.

"You'd do that for us?" I ask.

"Of course. Xaito did help with our movie date" Pyrrha adds in.

"Is there any other dates I should know of?" I ask Xaito.

"Mm. One more but, I'll keep it a secret" Xaito replies with a smirk. I give him a little shove almost knocking him off balance. With Arkos (I think that's what Jaune called his and Pyrrha's combo move) joining us we head to a nearby theater for a movie. The movie was quite beautiful. It was a story of two lovers, a faunas girl and a human boy. They had fallen in love but, because of the time they lived in a time where this was not respected they had to keep their love a secret. The boy would do reckless things to meet his love. The girl would giggle in amusement and would respect his efforts. The movie soon ended with the two ending their lives to stop their families from fighting any further. Xaito handed me some tissues when I started to tear up. It was an amazing movie not to tear up for. When we got outside the sun was about to set. We said our goodbyes to Pyrrah and Jaune as we head back to Beacon. We pass the market place getting ready for the night and the street lamps were just beginning to light up.

"Xaito I had an amazing day" I tell Xaito.

"So did I. How about dinner? My treat"

"Your treat?" I ask. Xaito's scroll vibrates. He takes it out and checks a message.

"Blake and Sun's treat" he says showing me the message. The stars began to show themselves as we entered Beacon and passed the fountain. We walk to the little restaurant Xaito had made for Blake and Sun's date.

"The Sun of the Night" I read the name aloud.

"Not copyrighted...yet" Xaito jokes. We enter through the doors to a small room with a table set for two. Candles set the mood as a violin plays it's serene melody.

"Welcome. We've been expecting you" Blake says greeting us. She was wearing a waitress outfit and had her hair tied back. "Right this way please." We follow Blake to the empty table set. Xaito pulls back the chair for me as I sit down. Blake hands us two menus as we settle down.

"May I suggest the house special? It is the perfect meal for a couple as such" Blake suggests.

"What do you think?" Xaito asks me.

"Sure. Why not"

"Alright. We'll have the house special for the two of us" Xaito says ordering. Blake nods and pours both of us a drink. I take a small sip. A bubbly apple juice with a hint of peach.

"Xaito.."

"Hm? What's up?"

"What do you like about me?" I ask timidly.

"Hm where do I begin. Well for one your personality. You seem quiet but, your really quite the loud person. You have this awesome Semblance that allows you to duplicate weapons and use them like you've used them for years." I blush. "Well what about me? What do you like about me?"

"You. The reason I like you is...no it's a silly reason" I admit.

"Nothing is silly. Not even your reason for liking me" Xaito assures me.

"Okay, when we first met that day during the testing, I felt like we had a connection. As if we were the two pieces of weaponry a warrior needed. You were the shield and I was the sword. We worked together and defeated that Grimm. It was just..."

"Spectacular?" Xaito finishes for me. He takes my hands into his. "To be honest I felt the same. You were cornered by that Grimm but in the end you were able to finish the job with me at your side." I smile brightly. Xaito always knew what to say to say to cheer me up.

"Compliments from the chef" Blake says arriving with a plate. "I present to you, Fantastic Faunus Four cheese spaghetti". Blake places the plate of spaghetti between us. The sauce smelled rich with herbs and freshness. Sun rushes over wearing a Chef's outfit and a strange mustache.

"We hope you enjoy" The two of them say bowing. They quickly leave for us to enjoy.

"I guess we can begin" says Xaito. I take my fork and spin a strand for me to eat. The sauce had an amazing tang to it and the cheese complimented it well. I slurp down the strand when I felt a tug on the other end. I look up to see the strand I was eating was connected to the one Xaito was eating. He looks away blushing.

"Well we can't stop like this" I tell Xaito blushing. There was only one way this was going to go and both of knew it. We both lean forward shrinking the distance and the noodle between us. Our lips connect in a mix of cheese and herb sauce while our tongues fought for the noodle strand. At the right moment I bite down and take the larger half for myself.

"Ouch I think you bit my lip" Xaito says covering his mouth.

"Oh no. I'm so sorry" I say in apology. "Let me see it, maybe we can put ice on it". My teeth isn't that sharp so I doubt I cut deep but it's better safe than sorry. Xaito moves his hands from his mouth as I inspect his lips. I raise an eyebrow when I didn't find any cuts.

"Got you" Xaito says with a chuckle. He was joking this whole time. I poke him in the cheek.

"That's not funny. I really got scared. I thought I messed up our almost perfect date." I puff my cheeks in anger.

"Nothing can mess this perfect date" Xaito says taking my hand. "When I'm with you." I stare into his eyes for a while before poking him in the other cheek.

"Now your just saying it" I tease.

"What? No I actually meant it all" Xaito strikes back.

"Fine, sure. You really mean it" I say sarcastically. " Now come on, our food is getting cold" I say spinning another mouthful of pasta. Within the hour we had finished our dinner and headed to the fountain in the center of the school. We sit on a bench and view the stars shining above.

"Velvet, I'm sorry for not explaining all this earlier" says Xaito.

"It's fine. It was actually a nice surprise to find out you helped this many couples" I reply. I tuck in my ears as I rest my head on his shoulder. Today was an amazing date..day. I know next time won't be like this but, I was glad I got to spend time with Xaito.
