Fire and love
"Well, now that we've taken a trip down memory lane," Anthony said getting up, "I'm gonna go check on the girls. See if they need help cooking anything."
As he walked into the kitchen, Anthony couldn't help but smile. Then looked shocked at Willow starting a fire by putting the flour in the bowl.
"Why the hell are you trying to set my kitchen on fire again!?"
"It wasn't my fault!"
"Really? How did you accidentally start a fire in the kitchen?!"
"I was just trying to put the ingredients in the bowl."
Kali is seen already drinking whiskey from witnessing this shit again. While Tomoe just chuckled at the reaction from Anthony.
"This is why we never let her cook." Coco whispered to Salem.
"Understandable." Salem replied.
"Hey! I heard that!" Willow exclaimed, indignantly.
Anthony groaned, trying to resist the urge to bang his head against the wall. "I'm gonna have to ban you from cooking in my house."
Willow gasped, her jaw dropping. "You can't be serious."
"Deadly." Anthony deadpanned.
The women exchanged amused looks, appreciating the dynamic between Anthony and Willow.
"Can we put the fire before-" Raven didn't finish her sentence as the fire alarm beeps.
"Oh, for freak's sake! I'm getting the fire extinguisher!!" Anthony said, leaving the kitchen.
"You're not mad, are you?" Tomoe asked as Anthony came back.
"Nope. Just questioning logic and physics." Anthony said as he put out the fire. "Kali." She tosses a bottle of Jack Daniel and a glass to him, "Thank you."
Kali nods.
"Alright. From now on, I'm gonna supervise." Anthony said to make sure Willow didn't start any fires.
"This is ridiculous!" Willow said.
"Yeah, well. Don't start fires." Raven said but get hit with a spoon by Tomoe who gives the women a 'look'.
"No fighting in the kitchen~" She spoke with threatening sweet smile and voice.
"Y-yes ma'am." Willow and Raven said.
"Good."
"Now, the next thing we need to do is to heat up the eggs and milk in a pan over low heat. Once they are warm enough, add the sugar and flour mixture and stir until the batter becomes smooth," Tomoe said, expertly guiding the group through the process.
As the Remnant group followed Tomoe's instructions, they were able to master the steps involved in making the Castella. The process was relatively simple, and they were impressed by the results.
"Wow, it's so fluffy and delicate," Coco said, her eyes wide with admiration.
Salem, Glynda, Harriet, and Willow looked on in awe, amazed at the soft, spongy texture.
Anthony watched with a sense of satisfaction as the Remnant group successfully completed the task under Tomoe's guidance. Despite the initial mishap with the fire, they managed to create a delicious-looking Castella cake.
Once the cake was ready, Tomoe showed them how to slice and serve it, explaining the traditional Japanese etiquette associated with the dish.
As they sat down to enjoy their creation, Anthony couldn't help but feel a sense of camaraderie and accomplishment. Despite the chaos and challenges they faced, they were able to come together and create something special.
As they savored the delicious cake, Anthony couldn't help but feel grateful for the unexpected journey he found himself on. From hosting a group of visitors from another world to learning about their unique cultures and traditions, it was an experience unlike any other.
And as he looked around at the faces of his guests, he couldn't help but smile. Whatever adventures lay ahead, he knew they would face them together, as friends and allies.
With that thought in mind, Anthony raised his slice of Castella in a silent toast to the future, filled with endless possibilities and new discoveries.
"It's delicious," Cinder said, her eyes shining.
"I can't believe we made something so tasty," Willow said, savoring the taste.
As the ladies enjoyed their creation, they couldn't help but feel a sense of accomplishment and pride. The Castella was a testament to their hard work and dedication, and they were proud of what they had achieved.
Anthony grinned, glad to see the group enjoying the fruits of their labor. He felt a sense of satisfaction knowing that he had played a part in facilitating this moment of bonding and achievement.
"I'm glad you all like it," Anthony said, taking a bite of his own slice of Castella. "It's always rewarding to see the results of teamwork and collaboration."
The atmosphere in the kitchen was warm and jovial as they continued to chat and enjoy the cake. It was moments like these that reminded Anthony of the importance of friendship and unity, especially in the face of adversity.
As they finished their slices of Castella, Anthony leaned back in his chair, feeling content. Despite the challenges they had faced, he knew that they were stronger together, and he looked forward to whatever adventures lay ahead with this eclectic group by his side.
"Okay, now let's have some lady talk." Tomoe said as Anthony got up immediately.
And did what most guys would do after hearing that phrase.
"I'm out."
He left the kitchen without looking back, but not before grabbing the bottle of whiskey Kali was holding.
"HEY! Give me my whiskey back!" Kali yelled as Anthony slammed the door.
"Sorry, Kali. But I'll need the whiskey more than you!" He yelled through the door. "Plus, I bought it!"
"Fine!"
"What kind of lady talk are we having?" Salem asked as Kali sat back down.
"That each of you minus Kali has the eyes on Anthony." Tomoe deadpanned to Willow, Raven, Glynda, Harriet, Coco, Salem, and Cinder. While Kali just looks in the mini fridge for a beer.
The ladies blushed, caught off-guard by the bluntness of Tomoe's statement. They exchanged glances, realizing that they had been inadvertently sending signals to Anthony, despite their best efforts to remain subtle.
Salem, always one to keep her composure, was the first to respond. "I think it's natural for us to appreciate Anthony's presence. He's been a gracious host and a dependable ally."
Glynda nodded in agreement. "Indeed. He's proven himself to be a trustworthy and capable individual."
Raven, typically more reserved, spoke up next. "He's certainly an intriguing man. His experiences and personality make him stand out."
Willow, blushing slightly, added, "He's been very kind to us, and his strength and determination are admirable."
Coco chimed in, "I have to admit, there's something about him that's... captivating."
Harriet, feeling a bit flustered, said, "He's definitely caught my attention. His confidence and assertiveness are attractive qualities."
As for Cinder, she remained composed, though her thoughts were tumultuous. "He's an enigma, that's for sure. There's much more to him than meets the eye."
Tomoe observed the reactions of the women with a knowing smile. "It seems Anthony has made quite an impression on all of you."
Kali, having retrieved her beer, simply shrugged. "Eh, he's not my type. Plus, I'm married."
The others chuckled, relieved by Kali's nonchalant response. It was a lighthearted moment amidst the realization that they all shared a common interest in their host, Anthony.
"He's an interesting man. One filled with surprises," Tomoe said, a hint of mischief in her voice.
"I have no idea what you're talking about," Willow said, trying to deflect the attention.
Tomoe smirked, knowingly. "You can deny it all you want, but it's clear that you all have a fondness for him."
The other ladies exchanged sheepish glances, realizing that they had been caught. There was no use denying their feelings, especially since Tomoe had called them out on it.
"What can I say? He's a charmer," Glynda admitted, her cheeks slightly flushed.
"He's definitely a special guy," Harriet agreed, grinning.
Cinder nodded, smiling. "He's definitely unique."
"He's a good man," Salem said, her gaze softening.
Raven's lips curled into a slight smile. "A very good man."
"Willow?" Tomoe asked, raising an eyebrow at the woman.
Willow sighed, a fond smile gracing her features. "He's... a very wonderful man." She continues, her voice quiet. "And he's done a lot for me, more than I can ever repay."
Tomoe could tell that Willow had deep feelings for Anthony, "I think there's more than that Willow~ You really love him, don't you?"
Willow didn't deny it, "I do. But..."
"But what?" Kali asked.
"It's too soon."
Even Raven raised an eyebrow at that, "What are you talking about?"
"I mean. What if he's not into me? Or if he doesn't like women in their late forties?" Willow spoke in denial.
"Wait, how old are you?" Harriet asked.
Willow blushed, "48 years old."
"Really? I'm only 54 years old." Tomoe said shocking everyone as they thought she was......probably thirty something due to her young petite appearance.
"You're 54?! You look like your thirty something!" Glynda exclaimed.
"Why thank you."
"Okay. If Tomoe looks thirty, I look like I'm in my mid-twenties. And I'm 42." Raven said.
"Same. I'm 42." Kali said.
"I'm 24," Cinder said.
"I'm 20," Coco added.
"Lost count," Salem said.
"I'm 39 years old," Glynda admitted.
"I'm 28," Harriet said.
"Well, now that we got age out the way. Back to Willow," Tomoe said turning the conversation back to the woman.
"Look, I've been with Anthony for the past 6 years. He's a wonderful person. But it's not just that. I've been without my husband since Mina was 6 years old. 26 years and twelve of those were a living hell being a single mother, being the Head of the Takahashi Clan, surviving World War 3, and dealing with many deaths of my family and mother who died protecting me. And she was in her 70s. I didn't think I was even capable of feeling love again." Tomoe spoke, "But I think Anthony is a man worthy of love. He may not show it a lot, but he has a heart of gold. And I think you should go for it."
"But..."
"I think we've established the fact that it's okay to love again. That, and you're not 58 or something." Kali said, "It's just age."
"Plus, I'm pretty sure Anthony doesn't care about that," Cinder said, speaking honestly.
"I agree," Coco added.
The women all nodded in agreement, their expressions conveying their support. They knew that it was a big step for Willow to take, but they also wanted her to know that they would be there for her, no matter what.
"Plus, I seen the way he glances at you since I arrived here, Willow~" Tomoe said, "Seems to me he's into older women."
Willow's eyes widened at that, a small blush forming on her cheeks. "Are you serious?"
"Yep. Dead serious."
"He did mention he had a threesome with two Thai women while he was in Thailand." Cinder said remembering that as the women minus Coco spit-take at that.
"He did what!?" They spoke.
"Oh, relax. It was before we all came. Though he did say he wasn't a virgin anymore."
"Well, there's the answer you were looking for Willow," Kali said.
"But did say old they were?! Or at least how tall they were?! How pretty?! WHAT SIZE TITS THEY HAD?!?!?" Willow shouted as Cinder backed away a bit with her arms up.
"Uh oh, Willow's jealous~" Raven said in a sing-along tone. But Willow finally snaps into extreme rage, fury, and jealousy, grabbing Raven by the throat and holding her up in the air.
"LISTEN HERE BIRD WOMAN!!!!! I AM NOT JEALOUS!!!! IN FACT, I'M GLAD HE'S EXPERIENCED!!!! BECAUSE IT MEANS HE CAN GIVE ME WHAT I NEED!!!! I'M A FUCKING BOSS BITCH AND HE'LL BE LUCKY TO EVEN HAVE ME!!!!!" She shouted in pure jealousy, anger, and rage before dropping Raven and calming down.
"I'm sorry. That was... uncalled for. I just didn't expect to hear about Anthony's sex life so suddenly." Willow said sitting down.
"W-whatever you s-say." Raven said in a chocked and scared tone.
"Didn't like the use swearing, but I'll let it slide as he also has a thing for strong and....a little messed up in the head women." Tomoe said with a smile.
Willow sighed, rubbing the back of her neck. "I just... I can't get my hopes up. Not when so much is at stake."
"Hey, you got us. And Anthony will not be going anywhere anytime soon. And I think I speak for all of us that we'll support you no matter what. Even if we are enemies." Raven said, surprising Willow and everyone.
"You're... you're serious?"
"I am."
The other women nodded, agreeing with Raven's sentiment. They may have had their differences, but in this moment, they were united in their support for Willow.
Willow felt touched by the women's support.
Feeling a sense of gratitude wash over her, Willow smiled softly at the women around her. Despite their differences and past conflicts, they had come together to offer her support and encouragement.
"Thank you," she said, her voice filled with emotion. "I really appreciate it."
The other women smiled back, their expressions warm and understanding. They knew that Willow was facing a difficult decision, and they wanted to reassure her that she wasn't alone.
"You're welcome, Willow," Salem said, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder.
"We're here for you," Glynda added, offering a reassuring smile.
"We'll always have your back," Harriet chimed in, her tone sincere.
Willow felt a sense of relief wash over her, knowing that she had the support of her friends and allies. She knew that whatever path she chose to take, she wouldn't have to face it alone.
As the conversation shifted to lighter topics, the women continued to bond and enjoy each other's company. Despite the challenges they faced, they were determined to make the most of their time together and support each other along the way.
And as they laughed and shared stories, Willow couldn't help but feel hopeful for the future. With her friends by her side, she knew that she could face whatever challenges lay ahead, including the possibility of exploring her feelings for Anthony.
Kali then heads to the refrigerator, "I know. Let's make a little snack while we-what's this?" She said as she takes out a Wendy's bag.
She then opens it, "SWEET!!! MERCIFUL!!! CRAP!!!!"
"What's wrong?" Tomoe asked, walking up to her.
"WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?!" Kali said, showing the bag a disgusting 6 month old burger with what appears to be a pimpled bun and green meat.
"Why, that's the most diabolical burger ever spawned!" Salem said in both amazement and disgust.
"It's so old and disgusting, but I can't help but stare at it." Harriet said.
"That is truly a work of evil, the kind that even the Devil himself wouldn't dare touch," Cinder said, staring at the burger in both horror and amazement.
"Well, what are you waiting for? Eat it," Raven said with a smirk.
"No way! You eat it!" Kali shouted.
"Nuh uh. This is a job for the Boss!" Raven shouted, pointing at Willow.
"Oh no, you don't. If anyone's eating this abomination, it's you, Kali." Willow said.
"I can't believe the three of us are arguing over an old, moldy burger that sat at the back of the fridge." Kali deadpanned.
"Well, are you going to eat it?" Glynda asked.
"I don't know. It looks kind of gross," Coco said, poking at the bun. "It's even slimy and has hair on it's mold."
"I have an idea." Tomoe said as she takes a lighter and sets the bun on fire, "There."
"Oh yeah, that makes it better." Kali deadpanned sarcastically, as they all just stare at the bun.
A second later, another alarm beeps...the carbon monoxide alarm.
"Whoops! I guess lighting it on fire wasn't a good idea." Tomoe said as the kitchen started to cloud in the fumes and gases, "We should leave."
"You think?!" Kali shouted, coughing.
One hour later~
We see the local gas company and fire department at Anthony's house while everyone else is outside as Anthony stares at the women. "Which one of did it?"
Tomoe raised her hand as Anthony sighs, "Somehow. I wished it wasn't you Mrs. Takahashi."
"I'm sorry Anthony. I guess I shouldn't have lit the bun on fire." Tomoe apologized.
"It's okay. The place can be repaired and fixed. But I will have to charge you $5,000 to cover the damages."
"Wait, what?!" Everyone said.
"I said, $5,000. You heard me right."
"Fine, I'll pay you back for the damages." Tomoe said as a firefighter comes out holding the burnt old burger in a case.
"We found it sir."
"Thank you." Anthony said, taking it, "I'm going to take this and dispose of it properly." He said as he threw the case and it hits one of the landmines on the front yard.
*BANG!*
"WHAT THE HELL?!?!?!" Everyone shouted as Anthony looked at them, "I disposed it faster."
"Yeah. Sure. Whatever you say." Kali deadpanned, shaking her head.
Anthony then turns to Tomoe, "So...where are you staying again?"
"At my estate near DC. I'm sure my family would be glad to see you."
"I hope not."
"Oh please. It's been 3 years since they seen you."
"They tried to kill me 3 years ago. I'm not falling for it again."
"I told them it was a mistake."
"I'm still not going."
"But the kids will miss you."
"They shot at me with live rounds."
"They were aiming for a cat."
"They missed. By a longshot."
"You're still coming."
"No, I'm not."
"Yes, you are."
"No."
"Yes."
"No."
"Yes."
"NO."
"YES."
"NO."
"YES."
"N-"
"YES!"
The playful banter continued between Anthony and Tomoe as they debated whether he would visit her estate near DC. Meanwhile, the rest of the group looked on, amused by their exchange.
"Are they always like this?" Cinder asked, a hint of amusement in her voice.
"Pretty much," Mina replied with a chuckle. "They have a... unique dynamic."
"Indeed," Ozpin added, shaking her head in amusement. "But it's clear they care about each other."
As Anthony and Tomoe continued their back-and-forth, the group couldn't help but smile. Despite the chaos and mishaps that had occurred throughout the day, they were grateful for the camaraderie and friendship they shared.
And as they watched the sun begin to set, casting a warm glow over the horizon, they knew that they had formed a bond that would endure whatever challenges lay ahead.
With laughter and friendship, they faced the future together, ready to embrace whatever adventures awaited them. And as they headed back inside, leaving the chaos of the day behind them, they knew that they were stronger together than they could ever be alone.
As the evening drew to a close, Anthony finally relented, agreeing to visit Tomoe's estate.
With a playful grin, Tomoe nudged Anthony gently, a triumphant gleam in her eyes as he finally relented. "See? I told you that you'd come."
Anthony rolled his eyes, but there was a hint of amusement in his expression. "Fine, fine. I'll come visit your estate."
Tomoe's smile widened, pleased with her victory. "Great! You won't regret it, I promise."
As they headed inside, the group felt a sense of contentment and camaraderie. Despite the chaos and mishaps of the day, they knew that they had formed a bond that would endure.
And as they settled in for the evening, sharing stories and laughter, they couldn't help but feel grateful for the friendships they had forged.
For Anthony and Tomoe, their playful banter continued, but there was an underlying warmth and affection in their interactions. They may have their differences, but they were united by a deep and abiding friendship.
As the night wore on and the laughter faded into the quiet of the evening, the group found themselves feeling grateful for the moments they had shared together.
And as they drifted off to sleep, they knew that no matter what challenges lay ahead, they would face them together, as friends and allies.
For in the end, it was their bond that mattered most, and it was that bond that would carry them through whatever adventures awaited them in the days to come.
