Akai POV

I breathed heavily shooting at the nevermore flying above me with Gōka in assualt rifle form. No matter how tired I was I already didn't want to leave. Maybe it was a trap in the first place but I'm enjoying myself to much. The nevermore landed flapping its wings making me tumble backwards my hat being knocked off my head and headphones falling off my neck. My grip on my weapon tighter as I get up slowly looking at the unfazed nevermore. "At least I don't have to fight a griffion," I mumble standing up staring the Grimm in the eyes. Red staring into red anger and fury burning in both. I took a step forward my tail lighting on fire. The nevermore's caw reverberated through the air making my hat tumble away. I took another step forward my fangs engulfing in flames. I took one more step forward before charging at it my eyes dilated from the adrenaline and blood. I pushed myself to run faster ignoring my exhaustion. You gonna let a stupid bird get in the way?! I planted one foot on the ground springing up shooting arrows at it constantly three at a time, explosion after explosion. My arms were aching as I landed not so gracefully in front of the disintegrating nevermore. I bite my shoulder drinking my blood to fight back the exhaustion. I walked back over to my hat and headphones putting them on. Just as I was about to walk off I heard a collection of loud snarls. I turned back around seeing a pack of beowolves and one lonely but fierce looking Ursa major. I sighed loudly shooting them all dead with my assualt rifles it taking the Ursa major the longest. I ran from the area with speed that would rival Oobleck after one to many cups of coffee. I slammed into someone bringing them down with me. The alarms stopped as I stood up my eyes darting around the area.
"The Grimm have been cleared out of the area!" Someone shouts getting tired cheers from the small crowd of fighters.

I smile cheering with them my fangs showing. Marce walks up to me patting my back.

"You did good I think its a good time now." Marce says.

"For what?" I ask pulling my hat down on my head.

"To learn about your dad." Marce says cracking her knuckles.

Ozpin POV

I watch the festival through multiple camera views and I knew my eyes weren't playing tricks. Mercury he attacked first. Yang, poor Yang she shouldn't have attacked back. This isn't good.

"Ozpin someone has too tell her despite what you say everyone else saw something different." Glenda says.

"I know everyone's stubborn and agrees against my words so go ahead tell her but I know what I saw." I say laying my head in my hands.

"The Vytal Festival is going to hell and back." Ironwood mumbled walking off I assume to tell Yang.

"Have Akai's number on speed dial and let's hope her scroll works well enough." Glenda mumbles.

"Her scroll will work sufficient enough its her coming back, the fighting, the family, her past she won't want to leave. If she does make it on time I'm sure everything will have broke down. " I say seriously.

"Then why'd you let her go?" Glenda asks.

"Niji is a smart man, Akai deserves to learn about him. It might calm her down, it might make her want to stay. In fact that could be happening now-"

"Calm, no one's calm, right now and you want Akai to be?" Glenda asks frustrated interrupting me.

"I've made lots of mistakes Glenda but I'm sure this is for the best." I reply disregarding my previous statement.

"Akai sensed something would be bad she sensed it and its starting to happen. We need her here." Glenda says.

I couldn't help to smirk slightly despite the situation. "I thought Akai was too dangerous and unstable?" I asked. Goodwitch huffed in annoyance rolling her eyes.

"This isn't the time for smirks or humor." Glenda growls.

My smirk fell. "I know but what more can we do than wait? Its for the best." Glenda nodded obviously doubtful about my suggestions.

"Have her on speed dial and if anything else bad happens call her." Glenda says.

I nod. "Already planned it."
