..........Nivaan was totally exhausted by the unexpected yet memorable events that day and dozed off in his room for a good 8 hours...

With the sudden ring of his mobile.., his sleep got interrupted and picked the phn  as it was a call from Raghunandhan...

" Gud mrng Nivaan...!!  I hope i didn't disturbed you...!!
Actually.., I'm having no appointments for today... so thought of spending some quality time vth sheetal and you...
I have alrdy reached Toronto by my car..., n i guess..., u guys will reach the port in an hour or two....
....Are you having any other plans Nivaan??! "
.........Raghunandhan  polite tone made Nivaan.., to concentrate  on the convo..

" Uncle..., u don't have to ask any permission....
Bt  wat is it vth grandpa..?!! I mean..,  i didn't got any call from him.., in the past 12 hours...!!
Was he busy in any deal??!!

...........he said and cut the call  feeling weird abt y did his grandpa asked his uncle to convey the message...

It's 2 pm in India .., and lathika had just finished  the summary  presentations for the upcoming launches of SPH..
She then  went to Jayanth's cabin.., to give the pen drive  in vch she had stored her presentations in order..

" umm....Jayanth sir..., i hope i didn't disturbed you...!!
Actually.., i want to leave early today...!!

Soo  here is my file work vch i stored in this drive..
Pls check for once and let me know if there exists any changes...!! "
...............Lathika kept the drive on his desk and stood back again vth a smile on her face....

Jayanth was soo lost in his thoughts  after he heard that she wants to leave early...., and stared at her blankly...

Jayanth : "Is he back...??!!"

Lathika frowned her eyes  as she didn't understood what he just said...

"I didn't get you sir...!!"

Jayanth :  leave it...!! It's just....(4%$&%%)
.....fine...!! You can leave now...!! "
..............he tried his best to sound casual and smiled at her...

Lathika too responded him vth a warm and excited smile and started to leave his cabin..., bt then..,  she turned back again.., as he heard him call out her name..

Jayanth stood up from his seat and went towards her holding something in his hand...

"Lathikaa...!! Never  let this smile leave you  even in tough tymes...!!
I know u r strong...!! Bt ur smile makes me strong too...., well.., at least a little...!!

...........said jayanth and handed her a  golden brown cover paged book vth  engraved vth the title 'listen to your soul'  and her name at the end of the cover page  vth a little smaller italic font......, 'Lathika Menon - Best inspiring writer of SPH - 2016 '

Lathika jaw dropped seeing the book and that vth her name on it and as it's the just printed copy..., the appealing smell of new book is hitting her nose and made her believe that it was nt her dream...

" but....!!! (%$#%) how can my name.....(%&$$)
I mean...I'm the ghost writer of this book...(%%%##&)
.........before lathika could continue further..., jayanth gestured her to hold on and said..,

"It's from Nivaan sir...!! He had mailed me..., to print the first copy and gift it to you on his behalf..., couple of days before....!! "
..........he said folding his hands and  watching her expressions vthout  blinking...

Hearing Nivaan's name..., lathika felt chills near her spine due to some unknown feeling of excitement...

She just stared at the book for once and left the cabin..., as she had ntng to say at that moment...
She wanted to hug Nivaan if he was infront of her..., at that moment....

" gud mrng Nivaan sir...!!  I hope u slept well last night...!!"
.......asked Edward who just came to the terrace to adjust the antenna there...
Nivaan was all ready in his casual white linen shirt vth a complementary black jeans and adding his mark to it...,  he set his gelled hair  vth a 4 days old stubble and his black shades...
Overall.., his attire is totally different from his usual and made him look lyk a model of some branded company...

Seeing him  standing at the edge of the cruise leaning on the bow...,  and staring at the huge blue sea..., Edward felt that Nivaan didn't heard him..

He then went towards him and stood next to him.., leaning on the bow..

"I think you are lost in some thoughts...!! Bt sir..., we  are  abt to reach Toronto in half an hour...!! Soo pls pack ur stuff....!!"
.........said Edward and was abt to leave the place.

"Edward..., wait...!!

(Nivaan stopped him and turned towards him )

I dnt know..., whether to ask this or nt...!!
Bt i felt something different in Lisa's tone last night...
I mean..., she held my hands and pleaded that she has to give birth any cost...,
as if she has to fulfill some task...

I just felt..... ( Nivaan tried to think of words that best expresses his thoughts.., bt he couldn't  find any....  he then looked at Edward for once )
......cut it off Edward...!! I think I'm over reacting...!!"

Edward..., who was having a smile on his face till then.., faded all at once hearing Nivaan's words and  he just went towards him and leaned on the bow beside Nivaan...

" Your guess is right sir...!!
....(he then folded his hands and lowered his head and  breathed heavily)
.......Lisa is ill. There is  50% chance of her survival... shez suffering from rare cardiac disease.., where the person slowly loses his immunity.., n has no control of their breathing range.. for them at tymes..., breathing seems a lot more hard task when they gets excited or feels any sought of anxiety...

(Edward then lifts his head and turns towards the sea and continues saying further)

Lisa and i met vth the help of our mutual friends  and that's wen i found out abt her condition...
Her parents  had totally bankrupted in trying to treat their daughter vth different surgeries...
But for me..., Lisa is nt that weak girl who just gives up on anything...
Shez a warrior... n for me shez everything..., i can ever find in my girl..

Though she opposed me for the marriage..., i was very clear abt her...
Bcz  her condition had ntng to do vth her soul.., and  that's wat matters to me..
........ many people warned me  abt my decision..
But marriage is something.., every girl dreams in her lyf and makes her feel secure and trusted in this society...
I want to give her that commitment and hope..., which she deserves....
Since then..., her health improved a little and we could see a ray of hope abt our future...
Lisa wants to deliver the baby even though it may risk her health... she just wants to give me a reason to cherish for abt our relationship..., which always reminds me abt our eternal love...
Our daughter...!!!

(*He wiped his falling tears and looked away to control himself )

If u were nt there to help her last night..., then i can't even imagine what would happen to her...!!"
..........Edward held Nivaan's hands and  hugged him tight showing his gratitude...

Nivaan  was just  imagining  Edward's  state of mind during all the phases of his lyf and his eyes became moist too...
He too reciprocated the hug and tried to comfort him by patting his shoulder...

"Edward...!! I truly wish u all the happiness in your lyf and  unknowingly you have made me realize  my mistake...

(Nivaan broke the hug and kept his hands on his pockets )
