Before the Goal
He was a sad man, a Monster, but there was something infinitely sad about him. Loss was in his eyes, yet, hope was there too.
That hope had kept him going, to free his people from the cage that the Humans had created.
Frisk saw this as he looked at her, his eyes were asking her to walk back. Live among the Monster population, to not make him fight her.
She still felt shaky after the Judgment hall, she.. had not expected Sans to be there.
Judgment huh...
"... but you... you never gained any LOVE. 'course, that doesn't mean that you're completely innocent, or naive. It just means that you kept a certain tenderness in your heart. No matter what the struggles, or hardships that you faced... you strived to do the right thing."
Sans stared at her, a singular eyesight blazing, she felt that horrible thing following her, blazing blood lust.
"Be careful with what happens going forward kid, our home is always open to you."
He'd let her pass, but she knew that if she had taken a bad route in the Underground, the meeting in that too bright room would have been much different.
Not all those that fell had been good people.
"Just be careful when you're wondering, The Captain of the Royal Guard, Undyne, is a hot head, and will hunt you. She lost her parents to one of the children who was... influenced by Toriel." He told her.
That was definitely a reason to hate humans, but still, she could hope.
She wanted to see the sun, to show Papyrus and Sans the world above, even if she had no memory of it.
Asgore was still saying nothing, since he asked her to turn back, his there was a slight shake to his hands, around his weapon.
He did not wish to fight.
Did they have to fight?
"Can't I just look at the barrier? I'm not going to steal a monster Soul to get through." Frisk asked, disgusted at the thought of killing any of the Monsters below.
Many of them were sweet, there was something more pure to them then humans.
Sure, she had no memories, but she somehow knew that Monsters belonged more then humans, somehow.
"You sure child?" Asgore asked, as something in his eyes changed at the request.
"I have no memories of the surface, and Sans likes you." Frisk said stubbornly, Sans seemed to have very good judgment after all.
Judgment... heh... no wait, don't laugh.
"As long as it's just a look, but be careful not to touch it. It's killed before..." Asgore told her, and Frisk smiled happily.
At that moment, the crazy monster Toriel ran in, throwing fire magic, trying to 'save' Frisk.
From what?
"Is she....?" Frisk asked Asgore, making the universal symbol of insanity.
"Unfortunately, also, she's my ex..." Asgore replied.
At that point a giant houseplant attacked.
And behind them, two white haired beings meet each other, and one pair of eyes widened when they saw the other.
The reflection just shook their head... No... This was not the right time for them to meet... Not yet... There was more to come, and things that had to be done, before they could truly meet each other... This was just the beginning...
