i made these earlier today but am only typing up my customary little essay of context now. seeing the beautiful bruce wayne (and jason todd, albeit very small in the background)... nature is healing. i just watched deadpool & wolverine and although i was entertained, i wouldn't exactly call it... good. not to start marvel discourse in my comments (or in general in the year of our lord 2025) but i seriously think our last hope, capeshit wise, is the new superman movie. #LookUp

anyways... moving away from metropolis and back towards gotham: eli, welcome back to my graphic lotto! eli previously requested from HEARTLAND and was one of like. five people i actually made graphics for before i gave up on that lotto 😓 thank you for coming back, eli! i really enjoyed working on these comic covers for you. i saw you had a yellow theme going on on your account, so i made the covers with that in mind; however, i of course made alt. versions with different colouring just in case that's not actually what you wanted 😙😙

cover i. uses resources from the prequel comics released by dc to tie in with their release of batman: arkham knight in 2015. i haven't made a comic cover for any arkhamverse fics yet, so it was neat that FEARMIST was the first! i found yelena belova a little limiting at first, as a faceclaim, but after poring through various arkhamverse comic covers i got a better sense of how her art might fit in.

cover ii. is a lot simpler and features yelena front-and-centre, with bats flying in the background—and the bat-signal, too 🦇🦇 not much to say about this one. with cover i. having lots to look at i wanted to give you a cover that, well, didn't. just in case you were after something less complex.
