COVER (REQUIEM)

this is another RUSSIAN DOLL update delayed due to my own laziness in writing up said update: however, we're collectively going to blame wattpad for everything. as we should ‼️ this update is for my dear friend deunan, and her cover theme which has been a long time in the making.

ASCENSION and VERTIGO have already been covered in a previous RD update; THE BALLAD OF BLOOD AND FROST is a reasonably simple cover that i feel doesn't require a lengthy explanation; and BINGO TIME and NEMESIS are both covers made from templates as they contain deunan's spam and own graphic design work respectively. for miscellaneous book covers / graphic design book covers made for other users i always try to make a simple template cover so that readers or requesters are not mislead by the cover or otherwise confused. anyway, my point is: REQUIEM is the only cover of note for this update. so that's why it's the only highlight!

          i've really been loving this style of star wars cover ever since i made one first for athena's fic, AFTER THE FALL. for obvious reasons i didn't want the covers to be identical, and i wanted to feature both the darth vader and anakin facets of anakin's identity. the former is represented through vader's literal presence on the cover (with the image of anakin being a deep red like his lightsaber) while the latter is seen in the grand jedi temple on coruscant.

          deunan, you have been such a good friend to me for such a long time 🤍 i hope you like these covers (as well as the theme / layouts i made with them!) and i hope they demonstrate at least some fraction of the affection i feel towards you! ich liebe dich!
