these roman numerals are truly starting to get out of hand 🤣

but we're drawing closer to RUSSIAN DOLL update 100, which means that the chapter titles will start again with c instead of this lxxx-et-cetera bullshit 👍👍 and because of wattpad's 200-chapter-per-book limit, we'll never reach 300 / ccc which is definitely for the best. 399 in roman numerals is cccxcix. we should all just kill ourselves.

just kidding! 😃 i know that in the most recent update i said the next two (2) would be cover themes, but surprise surprise, my ass didn't write the accompanying rambles. so here we are!

welcome to RUSSIAN DOLL, julien! here's your cover for your young justice fic, SO MUCH FOR STARDUST ⚔️ (which is also the title for an absolutely banger fall out boy album, fob being one of my favourite bands ever, so, dear readers, if you haven't streamed already... get going!) anyways, this cover didn't really follow your form, so if you don't want to use it, that's fine by me! let me know if you want me to have another run at it.

i used sword master!lin lie for your oc ajax's faceclaim, since i felt the sword-stuff matched ajax's connection to diana prince well; i've also been dying to use lin lie. i did consider using shang-chi, since there was a very particular resource i had in mind that i thought would look really cool with kon (conner * i guess... young justice, when i get you) but i lost track of where i'd saved it on my computer 😭 so lin lie was my back-up. his resources ended up looking much better than my original vision, so i have no complaints.

yj!conner resources are very limited, so i used his iconic leather-jacket look. i hope that's okay! this cover comes in two different main versions, i. and ii., as well as two corresponding alts. that have slightly different colourings. i initially intended to make all of these covers red, black and white, but it was a little too much. because blue of course makes up a significant portion of the superman / superboy fit, i snuck it in there with some recolouring and hue / saturation adjustments. hope that's okay!

julien is new to wattpad (i think!) so if you guys could go check out their fic and account, i think that would be a really lovely welcome. dc is one of my favourite fandoms on this hellsite, so let's show julien some hospitality!! 🫂🫂
