welcome back to RUSSIAN DOLL, kenn! (again!) 💛🩷 as with the previous updates, this one—for kenn's young justice fic, CUT ME OPEN—has been delayed about half a week due to wattpad's notification issues, which have apparently, allegedly been fixed now. i guess we'll find out if that's true 🙂 anyways.

          ⚠️ this is probably the last wally west cover i'll make for a while until absolute flash comes out and i'll have more resources to work with (especially of a younger wally; most of the requests i receive for his fics are set in the yj universe.) even though i'll miss my sweet candied apple, my son, i have really enjoyed making these covers over the past few weeks. this one posed a bit of a challenge, since i wanted to keep the bright yellow-and-red of his suit, while still keeping the pink decidedly pink.

that sounds dumb as hell, but what i basically (?) mean is, i wanted to make sure there was a very clear differentiation between the red and pink. a lot of my colourings don't leave room for that (RED SUPREMACY! RAHHHHHHH) so colouring this cover took a bit longer, and on the whole, a different approach.

          regardless, i'm really happy with the teen-romcom vibes that i ended up creating for CUT ME OPEN. a solid temporary farewell for wally, until march 4th, when absolute flash is expected to be published. if you see me make covers for yj!wally / kid flash!wally between now and then, i'm probably re-using resources out of necessity. however, my not-wanting-to-make-any-wally-covers-until-march has been noted in my most recent update in the requests chapter of this book, so hopefully i don't receive too many requests. (very elaborate way of saying, i will actually still make wally covers lol i just wish there was more kid flash art of him) 🫣🫣🫣🫣🫣
