Wattpad decided to Not Work for like three days 

Maybe it was only one

Idk

And I think it's still not totally working hhnn

but anyway this is a contest entry for someone on DA 

If anything, 2017 showed me just how fast time can fly by.

Liiiike...it was winter, and I was depressed. And then suddenly it was summer like wtf happened to spring. And then summer was over and suddenly Inktober was happening. And even though I was literally counting the days of October, it also was just...bam, over. And now suddenly it's a new year.

What the hell happened

Not to mention that 2017 was generally a shitty year. I'm not even going to TRY to list all the shit that went down, because jeez.

If anything, 2017 showed me that humanity is in a downward spiral. We're a fucking mess, and we're making a mess of our planet. I got really into dystopian novels this last year, and the weird thing is how much sense some of them made.

You already know that I have future-phobia, and now I'm starting to think that I'm right to be afraid, especially since 'the future' seems to be approaching faster and faster.

Hell, we're already in the future.

If anything, 2017 showed me that the future isn't something we can run or hide from, even if we probably should. Things keep happening and changing, and what seems good now may end up hurting us.

But on the plus side, I wrote an entire (short) book last year ¯\_ツ_/¯
