Secrets

After I had told them what had happened they went silent. I looked up at my dad, he is at least a head taller than me, then look at my mom with tears still falling from her eyes. She had her hand up to her mouth trying to stifle her sobs, if it weren't for my dad and Aunt Rena she would've  probably sunk to the floor by now. My brother had an emotionless, rigid expression on his face, but I knew with the way he was squeezing my hand, he was very worried. I could feel the tears welling up in my eyes, how did my life change so much, why me, why why why.... "Mom, Dad I know you are holding something back", I heard my brother say, "But I think I speak for both of us when I say I want to know what's going on". My father was about to say something but my mom quickly cut them off, "Its time we tell them". I exchanged a dreading but confused look with my brother. I'm sure its more prophecies and stuff just my luck.

I was still in shock about everything she just told us. My parents hadnt left the pack because it was safe or because of any other reason I'd come with. They had left because we were cursed as long as we remained werewolves, and it explained why our aunt had given up being a wolf, she always told us about the daring things she did. I found it hard to believe she gave up her passion because of a few people that were at the wrong place at the wrong time. Cody had just arrived, I saw on his face that he wished that thus was some sick joke. I tried not to tear up. "Who cursed our bloodline", I said trying to keep my emotions in check, "Which bastard did that". They were shocked of my tone, but at that moment I didn't care all I wanted to do was find out the person who had the audacity to curse my family and return the favor. "You've changed so much", my father said in a voice that clearly said, I don't like what you've become. I ignored him, "Who. Did. This", I asked again trying not to raise my voice. My mother opened her mouth, "It was....", her voice faltered. A stern look from my dad clearly saying, wait. I wish he didn't relied on body signals so much it made him even more easier to believe. "First we must start with the first pack".
