More wolves were slowly gathering around the circle. Lavender came with a lavender in her mouth.
"Where were you?" I asked.
"I was taking care of the flowers that burnt," Lavender muttered, setting the flower in the center of the circle.
"What about my flower?" I asked.
Lavender looked up at me, alarmed. "Oh no! I should've talked about that with Clover. It might be too late. Quick, follow me."
Lavender ran to the throne. I followed her.
"Clover, Arjun needs a flower. But his name isn't a flower. It's a plant."
Clover sat up, alarmed. "Okay. Let me think." "I suggest that Arjun will go to the flower celebration. Then, I will announce that Arjun doesn't have a flower because his name isn't a flower."
"Good idea," Lavender agreed. "Come on, we don't want to be late. I already saw a lot of wolves placing their flower."
Clover slowly ripped a clover from the plant patch. He placed it on his tongue and pointed to his tongue. Lavender looked back, motioning to follow her. I and Clover ran beside her.
The smell of fresh honey filled the air. My mouth watered.
It's probably from the honey pie.
Clover stood on a rock. He cleared his throat.
"I have an announcement to make." "Arjun, he is a new wolf here. His name is not a flower. So he won't put a flower in the circle." Clover ended with a sigh and stepped off the rock.
Most of the wolves were minding their own business. But a couple of wolves were looking at me like I was a total stranger. Which to them, I kind of was. Since I didn't know them and they didn't know me. But to Lavender, Clover, and Crocus, I'm friends.
"When will we eat?" I asked. "I'm starving."
"We'll eat once everyone is done putting their flowers," Clover answered.
