Alec's POV

"Stay back. You shouldn't have come here." I said as I backed Elisa away from both of them while keeping my eyes on my target.

"Don't you dare back me off, I told you we were in this together but did you tell me that you're here to kill him? No! You sealed up our bond and... ugh! Just wait until this is over. I'm gonna give you hell after killing him. I'm so so angry at you." Elisa hissed.

I found my lips stretching in a smile, "I have various ways to vent out your anger. For now, please stay behind. I can't concentrate without knowing that you're safe." I pleaded her.

"You do know that I'm the most stubborn between the two of us. Make me stay behind." Saying that she went forward before I could catch her and made her way towards that girl.

"Don't kill her Elisa. Because she's mine." My gaze went from Gilfred's lying form to Adam.

What in hell is he doing here now?

"Adam I know that she's your mate and that you love her but--"

"She's mine Elisa, only mine to kill. I feel nothing but hatred for her. Now please let me do it in my own way." Adam said as he slowly made his way towards that girl.

I picked up Gilfred and banged his head against the stone, "Are you having fun? Because I, for sure am enjoying this so much." I said as my fangs elongated.

"I will get you for this Alec!" Gilfred yelled. He threw me off with his one arm and vanished out of sight. There was still a line of stench that was left behind. Before Elisa could stop me I followed that smell and ran away from here.

Adam's P.O.V

"How is it that you came back from the dead?" I asked her in calm but steel hard voice.

"I told you that you can't kill me Adam." She said in a neutral voice.

"Well then, I'll just have to keep you contained. Good for me, I'll have a subject to torture for such a long time." I said and I heard Elisa gasp beside me.

"Adam what are you saying?" She said beside me but my mate's neutral expression never changed.

"I do not hate you Adam but I'd sure as hell find a way to kill you if you do anything  like that." My mate said and I let out a dry laugh.

"You can't kill a bona fide vampire." I said smirking at her. She looked so pathetic.

"Then I'll kill your weakness." She said and for the first time I saw the evil gleam in her eyes.

"I don't have any weakness." I said as I slowly made my way towards her.

"Maybe not now but one day you will." She said as she took a step back.

Finally! I saw the flicker of fear in her eyes as she took another step back.

"Not now, not ever. I will never have any weakness." I said. Just as she was about to run, I caught her by fisting my hand in her wavy short curls.

She screamed, "Yes! Scream more. I want to hear them. There is no greater pain than the pain of betrayal that comes from the person you love. Correction, from the person you once loved." I said as took hold of her neck.

"You're going to regret this one day Adam! Mark my words, I'll kill anyone you love." Before she could say anything more I snapped her neck.

"Adam what has happened to you? What have you turned into? Because you're not the Adam that I know." Elisa said beside.

My gaze turned soft, "My love has turned into hate Elisa. That's what I've turned into: hatred. And I don't think I will be able to love again. But I'm fine, I'll be fine." I said.

"Will you both be safe? I need to do something." I asked her.

"Yes, we'll be safe. But Adam, you can't be hatred forever, one day you will change and that'll be the day you'll start regreting. Adam it's okay to not be okay." She said.

I didn't say anything but picked my mate up and vanished from the forest.

Love will never reside in my heart again.

That is a vow I make now.

Alec's P.O.V

"Where have you hidden your sorry ass Gilfred? Be a man for once in your pathetic life and come forward to face me." I said as I searched for him

"I'll win this battle tonight Alec. I will!" He said as he came forward out of nowhere.

Blood was still dripping from his capticated arm, his eyes were raging with anger. With his other hand he snapped his fingers.

And that's when I felt their presence.

The presence of other vampires.

I turned around to find uncountable vampires appearing out of thin air. They all had red eyes with their fangs elongated.

They all looked ready to kill someone.

To kill me.

I looked back at Gilfred and smirked.

"You want battle?" I asked calmly snapping my fingers as talons elongated from my fingers.

"I'll give you war."

Saying that I sliced the necks of three vampires who came from behind.

Another two came from opposite directions, swords ready. Before they could even swing their wrists, I capticated their heads.

I threw those heads at his feet and turned around in a circle to measure up my enemies.

"Come on! Is that all you got? You can't even fucking scratch me. I'm by myself and you all are together following the commands of that bastard." I yelled, I got their attention as they stopped coming towards me and just stared at me.

"I'm Alec Kincaid, the King of Vampires and you're all under my command. You dare to defy me and you'll have your head in your hands. I'll not kill a single one of you if you stop following him and come under me. Those who wants to follow me will leave these woods right away and never show me your face." I gave them my final warning.

Murmurs went out throughout the area, some of them formed a group and came forward. One of them came forward, "We've come to apologise, your highness. We didn't know that we were fighting against you. All of us were told that some powerful vampire is on killing rampage of other vampire's mates and we couldn't say no, because we've to protect them. If we knew that it was you then we wouldn't have intervened." He said.

"How do you know that I'm not on killing rampage?" I asked out of curiosity.

"Because we heard that you, yourself have got one who you love immensely and you wouldn't do something as low as killing someone's love of life. If you want, we can kill him right now." He inched his chin towards Gilfred while some of the other vampires roared in the back.

"No, he's only mine to kill. Begone from here now and have a good life." I said to them.

The group started their way out, "I'll kill each and every one of you when this is over." Gilfred yelled from behind but those vampires didn't even glance back.

They knew he won't because he'll not even see tomorrow's sun.

Some of the others stayed back, "So you've decided to sacrifice yourself tonight." I said as they all staunched down in the attacking position.

"Kill him!" Gilfred yelled from behind and they roared as they came forward.

Again and again I sliced necks, capticated endless heads, broke limbs of his followers, pulled hearts right out of their chests. None of them were able to touch me, not even with their knives, throwing stars, chainsaws or anything. They just met their end once they took a step in my direction.

Countless heads, limbs, hearts, bodies covered the land along with blood which matted the ground.

I almost felt sorry for them. Almost.

After endless killings, none of them were left standing. I was not even out of breath as I turned around to face him. I took out my handkerchief and wiped the blood off my hands.

"Look around you Gilfred, tonight before your death you've cost so may lives. I'm a King for a reason. I've killed countless bona fides and yoy expect that some vampires can kill me? Instead of fighting me yourself like man, you used them as a substitue. Tell me, how much more pathetic can you become?" I asked him as I threw the handkerchief on the ground.

"This is not pathetic, it is called survival techniques which you don't possess. And neither does your mate, Hello Elisa!" He said as she came around from a tree.

I hope that she didn't see how ruthless monster I was right now.

She came towards me and when she met my gaze, her eyes indicated that she saw every second of what I did.

"You were a real badass right now." She said and smiled at me.

Thank God!

I thought that she would be scared of me but she wasn't. She still loves me.

"But I'm still mad at you. And you do need to vent out my anger, what say? Let's finish this now? Together?" She asked and I smiled.

"Let's get rid of him as soon as possible. Together." I said.

To him I said, "May some God have mercy on you because I won't."

I went forward and punched his nose as I heard the breaking sound of the bone. He jerked back because of impact. Elisa blasted him with her powers as he went flying back.

I broke his shin with my leg, "This is for betraying me." I said and cracked his other shin, "This is for making me hurt my love." I punched him again making him spit out blood and teeth.

I took the stake which was hidden in his jacket and stabbed it in his jugular, "This is Martha." I said. Blood spurted out from his neck and mouth as he choked on his own blood.

I pulled out the stake to let him heal so that I can repeat it again and again.

The wound sealed up but before I could stab him again he caught my arm and coughed out blood before clearing his throat,"You still have a weakness Alec and I intend to take the whole advantage of it. I have now realised that I am going to die tonight but I won't die before making your life a hell. Say goodbye to your mate." Before I could comprehend what he was doing, he made me look in his eyes and said something.

Elisa's P.O.V

"Alec?" Why has he stopped hurting him?

I went near them to see what was happening, when suddenly Alec straightened up.

I sighed, "Do it fast Alec, I want to go home." I said.

He turned around to look at me.

That was enough to ground me at my place.

His eyes...

His eyes were same menacing black again.

He took control over him again! Alec started taking steps in my direction with evil gleam in his black eyes.

"Alec fight it. You can't let him take control over you." He had no expression on his face. He just kept coming in my direction, I saw his hand tightening around the stake.

"Kill her Alec. You know you want to, imagine how good her blood tastes." Gilfred hissed.

"No Alec! Remember that you love me. Alec I love you please stop. Come back." I pleaded but to no avail. His eyes didn't even flicker back to grey.

I took few steps back to increase the distance between us, "Alec I don't want to hurt you. I can't control my powers, if I let them blast you it might kill you because of it's intensity. So I'm begging you please stop." I said taking another steps back.

I can't use my powers on him or else it will kill him.

Is it what is written in our fate? To never be together?

I can't kill him and all he's thinking about is killing me. How can fate be so cruel to us?

"Alec please stop! I love you. Don't do this." I pleaded him. As I took another step, my foot slipped and I fell down.

Still I kept crawling back, "Kill her or kill yourself." Gilfred said as Alec kept coming towards me.

"I have better option, wanna hear? I should kill you."

Saying that Alec vanished from his spot and was in front of Gilfred within a second.

"How dare you think that I'll hurt her? I love her and you do not hurt the ones you love. Send my regards to your bitch when you reach hell and tell her how I so easily killed you. Goodbye Gil-fucking-fred, be sure to rot and burn in hell for eternity. May no God have mercy on you."

Alec stabbed the stake in his heart.

I stood up as I saw Gilfred's body turn ash grey and veins popping out of his rotten skin. His eyes were wide open, lifeless.

He's dead.

Finally.

I hope he does rot in hell.

Alec avenged you Martha.

"Elisa?" I looked up from Gilfred's body to Alec. He had a guarded expression on his face as he extended his hands forward to show that he was my Alec again.

It's as if my legs had their own mind and they took several steps back. My heart completely trusted him and was whining for creating distance between us.

"Elisa it's me, I swear I'm not gonna hurt you." Alec said as he took a step towards me.

I gulped, "Your eyes are stormy grey again." I whispered. Was I still scared of him?

"And they'll stay like that. Please come to me." He pleaded.

"How did you fight it." I asked.

"You. Only you can make me fight anything. He was trying to control me but from inside I was already fighing back. All because of you and your voice. I vowed I wouldn't hurt you littleone and I intend to keep that vow." He said as he took another step. Still we had distance between us.

"How do I know that you're my Alec?" I asked him.

"The bond will tell you. Feel it." He said.

"How do I do that? You've sealed up our bond and built up walls around your heart. How am I supposed to feel you?" I yelled at him.

"Fuck. I'm sorry, I didn't want you to feel my pain that's why I did it." That was enough to break my dam of tears.

"Why did you not tell me that you were going to fight him? Do you even know how scared I was when I felt that pain in my heart? I though something has happened to you. That you were... were taken away from me. Do you have any idea what I went through? I couldn't call you, I couldn't feel my bond. I felt like dying, why didn't you tell me?" I cried. Gosh! I cry so much.

I thought I was strong but here I was, crying like a kid for no reason.

"I did it because you have suffered enough in your life. I didn't want pain to be near you again. I thought that by sealing up the bond you'll be safe--"

"What if you had died? What if Gilfred did some dark trick and succeeded in killing you? What did you think I would've done?" I asked him in a pathetic voice.

"I would've expected you to live your life and find someone you could spend your time with." He said sincerly causing me to cry harder.

"Am I not at all important to you Alec? How in the hell do you think I could've moved on? How could you expect me to love anyone else but you? How could you even expect me to live without you? Oh God! I hate you!" I said and turned around to go home.

I'm so done with all this love and crying--

Before I could take another step, I was engulfed in warm arms, "I love you too." He whispered in my ear and I felt goosebumps all over my body.

"I hate you. I will hate you forever. You  don't trust me enough to wait for me and you expect me to love someone else. I'm done with you, I'm breaking up with you." I said as pulled back from his chest.

He had the most incredulous expression on his face, "What do you mean by you're breaking up with me? Elisa you can't do that." He said and chined up my face.

"Of course I can and I will. Go on and make decisions alone now and fight as much as you want with anyone you want. We're done." I said glaring at him.

"No, we're not done! Elisa, you said in your voicemail when you were saying goodbye to find love again. How can expect me to do that? You say that you can't, same goes for me. I only love you truly and no one can take your place." He said clutching my face in his hands as he tucked my hair away.

How can I keep glaring to that face? In my anger I almost said that I'll leave him alone like everyone else, "I'm still angry." I defended myself but softened my gaze.

"I can deal with you anger, your anything but I can't deal with fact of you leaving me alone." He said.

"Fine then, I'll make your life a hell by annoying you for eternity." I said but I could feel my lips stretching up.

He laughed out loud, "It'll be a paradise then." He said and captured my lips in his.

And just like that I forgot everything around me. I thought that it only happens in movies but the world really does cease to exist when you are with the one you love the most.

My hands automatically found their place around his neck as he pulled me closer. My body perfectly moulded in his as his arms wounded around me. I felt everything, safety, love, happiness, contentment, everthing.

Kiss is nothing but 4 eyes closed, 2 noses touched, fastened heatbeats, adrenaline rush and loads of love which needs not to be spoken.

We both pulled back as we panted, "Let's go home." He said as he intervened my fingers with his.

"No!" I looked at him frantically, "I don't want to go back to that castle ever again. There are too many bad memories there." I said as I shook my head.

"Shh we're not ever going there. For now we'll go and annoy your brother." He said as he kissed my forehead.

"What about his body?" I asked.

"It will turn to ashes when the sun rises, remember I had his ring? His presence will be fully eradicated by the sun." He said.

I laid my head on his chest as his arms held me tightly against his heart, "It's all over. We avenged Martha and we're safe now." I said closing my eyes.

His arms tightened around me, "It's finally over, now I can have you all by myself without worrying about you being in danger. I can finally call you mine and be with you." He said as he kissed the top of my head.

"Remember Kate is still pissed off at you. You have to apologise and convince her that you're perfect for me." I said.

"I thought my looks were enough for crossing the perfect mark. Shit! What do I have to do? She gets dangerous when she's angry." He said and I laughed out loud.

We kept holding each other for long time because none of us wanted to pull back.

Maybe home is nothing but two arms wounded around you who makes your soul ignited with love.
