Elisa's P.O.V.

"No please don't die, please don't die Alec." I begged him yet he remained unmoving.

His face was beginning to ashen and dark veins were protruding on his face and body. His cheeks were sunken and his once warm skin which offered me so much comfort was now icy cold.

His full peach lips were now blue and had cracks on them.

All in all he looked like corpse.

I could hear the wolves howling, almost crying, with every passing second they were closing in.

I put my Alec's head on the ground gently, kissed his cold forehead and stood up.

I would protect him even if he is dead.

I heard the rustling of bushes and crushing sound of leaves coming from all directions.

They were circling us.

I saw their red eyes becoming more visible and not even an ounce of fear gripped me.

I will use my powers.

They all were visible now and I saw a pure white colored wolf among the grey and black ones staring at me. Technically they were all glaring at me as if I was the one who staked Alec.

The white colored wolf must be the new Alpha because there was an aura coming off it that spoke power.

They all looked ready to jump upon me and tear me apart.

I kept my attention and calculated their every move all the while staying close to my Alec.

Suddenly I felt the warm feeling on my left  hand and ever so slowly, without taking my gaze off the wolves, I broght my hand up.

Alec's mother's ring was glowing.

Same way as it did the last time.

And like last time, every wolf's gaze was now fixed on my ring.

What is it about this ring?

Does it work on wolves somehow?

I frowned and moved my hand a little and all their gazed danced with my hand's movements.

I have to try every possible thing to save Alec.

Alec told me, When I screamed for his help last time, only he was able to hear me and no one else.

So I guess it's a waste of time to call for help.

I took in a deep breath and mustered up as much courage as I could and took a step in front of them, yet their stares didn't break from my ring.

I could do this.

I have to save Alec.

I brought my hand to the level of my temples and showed my ring to the wolves more prominently.

As if some kind of trigger was pressed, each and every one of them came forward until they were only few feet apart.

Shit.

I was going to die and I couldn't even help Alec.

No! At least save Alec.

The Alpha came more closer and I braced myself for the attack. Even my powers couldn't fight off this many wolves.

I stared right in his eyes and took in calm breaths.

As I waited for him to pounce on me, the strangest thing happened.

The Alpha bowed down to me.

I took in a gasp as every one of them knelt down as if I was their queen and they were respecting her.

I looked behind me and it was the same case.

Each and every wolf was knelt down on their front paws with their heads bowed down.

The ring was now glowing so brightly that it dimmed the moonlight.

I felt a new kind of power rush through my blood. What is happening?

The Alpha came forward and on instinct, I bent down and ran a hand through his white head and smiled down at him.

The Alpha stood on his hind paws and licked my face and I laughed.

But my laughter died as I thought about Alec.

I glanced back to see that he was still lying lifeless on the ground and rushed back to him.

The Alpha came to me and I looked straight in his heterochromic eyes. The right one was blue colored and the left one was light brown, "I need your help." I pleaded him.

As if understanding me, he flattened out on ground and the other wolves came forward and picked Alec up gently with their mouths.

I rushed to help them and used my powers to pick him up a little bit but he was too damn heavy.

After many trials and sweat, we placed him on the Alpha's back and he easily stood on his paws as if Alec weighed nothing.

Two grey wolves came forward and walked side by side to Alpha, so as to not drop Alec down.

I sighed and looked back at the other wolves, "Go now, your Alpha will come back after some time." I said and the wolves disappeared in the night.

I glanced back at the ring which was now not glowing at all.

What the hell was Alec's mother?

I walked to the wolves and after sometime we arrived back to the entrance of the castle.

"Adam!!" I yelled and within two seconds Adam was at the doorstep.

But when he saw what was in front of him, he growled and his turned dangerous red as his gaze went between me and the wolves.

The two wolves came forward to protect me and I patted their heads, "We need help Adam. I will explain everything--"

He came forward and picked Alec up easily and went inside with vamp speed.

I turned back to wolves, "Thank you so much." I said and knelt down in front of them.

The trio licked my face and then left after bowing last time.

I immediately rushed inside and ran up to Alec's room.

Adam was placing Alec on bed and then turned back to me, his eyes were normal again and looked pained, "Please tell me that we can save him." I pleaded him.

A tear fell from his eye, "He only has time till sunrise." He said.

"NOO!" I  screamed.

"Elisa. We need to do something before the sun rises. Let me think." He said.

"Why don't you give him your blood?" I asked between my sobs.

"A vampire's blood doesn't work on another vampire....... but you!" He shrieked and then grinned from ears to ears.

"What.... oh my God!--"

"You're his mate and your blood can heal him. He'll be as if nothing ever happened to him. But..." He said coming forward.

"But what?" I asked

"We're not sure Elisa. It will take him days, maybe years to heal his heart because a stake kills a vampire when stabbed in the heart. Our hearts take most time to heal because they are the ones who are actually alive. All other organs in a vampire's body are immortal forever, dead but because heart houses a soul, it keeps on beating. That's the reason why vampires die when stabbed through heart. Souls are immortal and by becoming a vampire, you trap your soul inside your heart forever. But if you stab them, they are released from their house and goes God knows where." He explained.

I thought about what Adam said and felt the hope slipping away from my..... wait a minute!

"We have other way to heal him." I said and shuddered.

"What! How?" He exclaimed.

"Close the doors and lock them." I said and moved towards Alec's bed.

I ran my hand through his hair. I can do this. He doesn't love me like I do but what can I do? I love him more than my own life.

I can do this.

Adam locked the door and came towards me, "What are we doing Elisa?" He asked.

"Pull the stake out of him." I ordered and Alec pulled the stake out of his chest and I choked on my own scream.

I could see the gaping hope and his heart Clearly. His heart was pierced from upper part, near superior vena cava.

Oh God! How much will this hurt me?

"Don't ask questions Adam, when I heal Alec, I need you to feed me your blood." I instructed in cold voice.

"What happens if I don't give you my blood?" He asked.

I looked straight in his eyes and said,

"I die."

His eyes widened, "No no, you can't do this Elisa. Are you crazy--"

"My decision's clear." I said.

"Just give him your blood--"

"I LOVE HIM ADAM. I don't want to lose him. I love him more than anything else. I love him more than my own fucking life. So don't ask questions and do as I say." I yelled at him.

He just stared and me then bit his radial vein on his wrist and held it out in front of me.

I nodded my head and placed both of my hands on Alec's gaping wound.

I called onto my powers and they began healing Alec's wound, glowing yellow and I  braced myself for the pain.

His wound closed as if never been injured and his black veins disappeared as his ashen skin turn to alabaster again and his lips became full again.

I wanted to admire his beauty but I couldn't.

I felt the pain coming and gasped as I felt what I thought earlier when his words hurt me.

It felt as if hot, lava iron sword were piercing my heart and tearing it to shreads.

I felt the wetness on my breast as darkness began making it's way through the corner of my eyes.

Distinctly someone pushed a warm, thick liquid through my lips and I chocked on it.

I could hear someone screaming and thousands of knives stabbing my heart, I stopped breathing to decrease the pain. It helped a little but nevertheless the pain was still there.

I felt a hand arond my waist and heard a  sweet alluring voice from underwater.

Even through this much pain, I could tell that it was Alec's voice, my love's voice saying something.

Why was he underwater?

I let that thoughts leave my mind as darkness took over me.
