(A/N: Warning, this chapter is a little .. intense... DON'T HATE ME)

* 1 Month Later*

Vanessa's POV

7:24 PM

I look over and see Jaeden on his phone.

He's smiling. What was on his phone?

"Hey Jaeden, what are you smiling at idiot." I chuckled.

"Nothing," He said as his facial expression quickly changed to serious.

When are you going to tell him how you feel?

"Hey Jaeden, I have to tell you something," I blurt out.

He kept typing on his phone and bit his lip.

"Yeah, what's up," He says not taking his eyes off the screen.

"Well, I just. How do I say it?" I start. "I like you Jaeden,"

"I like you too Nessa," He chuckled and typed more.

"Really?" I say overjoyed.

"Yeah, you're so amazing," He says.

"So, then what are we?" I asked and smile like an idiot.

"Umm, best friends," He said and smiled at his phone screen. "What else?"

My heart dropped. What did he mean?

"W-What?" I croaked.

"Mhm," He murmured and texted more.

"Okay, you're clearly not paying attention to me," I say and snatch the phone out of his hands.

"Hey! Give my phone back!" He said nervously and tried to take it.

I run down the stairs and read his texts.

Julissa

Alright, so then it's official?

Yeah, I guess so..... You're amazing Julissa, Everything about you makes me happy.

I'm grateful for you, are you planning to tell Vanessa?

I don't know... You know how she got last time when she saw us together. Thank god she didn't see that kiss, she would've flipped.

You need to tell her , besides she's so bipolar how can you stay best friends with her?

Hey, she's amazing don't start again. This won't work out.

Ughhhhhhhhhh, fine I guess but you need to tell her

I look up from the phone with tears in my eyes.

I throw the phone to Jaeden.

"So this is what you've been keeping from me? Not just a relationship but on top of that, with my worst enemy who you know put me through literal hell!" I shouted.

"VANESSA CALM DOWN!" He shouted, trying to hold me.

I swatted his hands away.

"I told you how I felt and you just threw those words away! " I cried.

"Nes--"

"Don't ever call me that!" I cut him off. "You lied to me! Backstabbed me! Kept something from me! I thought we were best friend but I guess now,"

I go upstairs and take out a suitcase, I start packing his clothes and zip up the suitcase.

"You can go live with Julissa if you think she's so beautifully amazing!" I say and shove the suitcase in his arms.

"Vanessa, don't do this," He says and follows me to the front door.

I pushed him outside .

"Well you should've thought of that before you lost my trust," I say and slam the door in his face, locking it.

I fall to the floor in tears.

"What happened?" My mom says rushing to my side.

"Nothing to worry about," I say getting up and wiping my tears. "I'm just so happy that Jaeden's mom finally found him."

"I heard the fight honey, it's going to be okay. Shit happens." She says hugging me.

"I hate that I grew to fall in love with him, how could I be so stupid?" I spat.

"Go get some sleep," She says rubbing my back and walks me to my room.

"Goodnight mom," I lied as my mom walked out closing the door.

I quickly set up my camera and take out my small piano.

"Hey what's up guys, I know I promised that I would give you guys music really soon. A-and now I'm completing the promise," I say as my voice cracks.

A tear slips down my cheek.

"She stares at her ceiling once again With a hundred thoughts Maybe he knows who I am. Actually, probably not. She walks down the hall with her head down low. Scared to meet his eyes. Even when she hears his voice. She swarmed with butterflies. It's impossible to get you off my mind. I think about a hundred thoughts and you are 99." I sang and moved my fingers against the piano keys. "I've understood that you will never be mine. And that's fine I'm just breaking inside."

I looked directly at the camera as another tear slipped down my cheek.

"And one day. Maybe she'll stay. And start to head over his way. And one day. She'll look into his eyes. And instead of breaking," I paused and then proceeded. "She'll call him mine."

I brush some hair off my face.

"One day. He'll grab her by the waist, and force them to meet face to face. And one day he'll look into her eyes and say that you're my only light." I say and then change my tone to a lighter tone. "Oh, it's impossible to get you off my mind.. I think about a hundred thoughts and you are 99. Maybe there's a chance that you will be mine..But right now... I'm just broken inside."

I turn off the camera and connect it to my laptop.

I titled my song, "Broken Inside".

I wrote it when my ex broke up with me but now seems like now is the time that I published it.
I didn't want the attention. But I needed to publish something for my fans, the people who really support me. They deserve the music coming from me.
