As it lurks upon the shadows,

The darkness kisses my skin,

In this empty corner in this room ,

With a light that seeped within.

As a tear slipped down my cheek,

And the crimson on my neck,

The most rich, beautiful blood,

Was the thing that caused a wreck.

Speechless, filled with fear,

I spoke not a single word.

He stared at me with his red eyes,

Hair black as the raven bird.

A smile on his face,

As my blood had stained his lips,

I put my hand to my neck,

As the drops of blood dripped.

"Are you scared?" He asked,

"Of these monsters like us?

For I can say I love you,

But I'd not regain your trust."

The darkness felt so good,

As I stared him in the eye,

As shock filled my mind,

I dropped and began to cry,

He went over and caressed me,

And held me close to him.

The man that had destroyed me.

Was where my love would begin.

He went and stroked my hair,

And he went and held me tight.

"Now you're one of us,

The creatures of the night."
