I slowly woke up and took a quick shower. I wore a kurta paired with my blue jeans and walked downstairs. Weirdly there was no one at home. Then I saw the househelp along with Gauri aunty. I was confused.

That's when Gauri aunty's eyes fell on me. What was she doing here?

'Good morning Charda(child)... sit down...let me get you some tea' she said and I started looking around. I was confused. I walked towards her and said

'Good morning Aunty. How come you are here...I mean...it's your house too aunty please don't misunderstand me...I just-' to which she chuckled saying

'Relax!!! I understand your panicking. Sit down' saying she poured me a cup of tea and got me a dosa. She asked me to eat and drink the tea. I had a hundred questions but she asked me to quietly finish my breakfast and I did the same. I had the dosa and when I almost finished my tea she spoke up

'Okay now that you ate your breakfast let me tell you..Don't panic... Prakruthi had contractions last night!!!' she said and I stood up at once. My heart stopped

'Aunty...Pakku' but she grabbed me via my shoulders saying

'Calm down Avanthi... Everyone's at the hospital. Sanskriti and Prarthana are with the kids.' she said and I was still trying to understand what just happened.

'Isnt she early aunty? She was supposed to be due in next three weeks' I said trying to control my anxiety but aunty tried to calm me down saying these things are common during pregnancy. I couldn't wait any longer.

'Aunty I want to see her...Neil... where is Neil...'

'Ava relax!!! He's gone along with them and don't worry I will ask Shivansh to take you along okay? First calm down ' she said and I nodded.

In no time Shivansh took me to the hospital they rushed Pakku last night and the moment I entered the hospital my eyes met Sharada aunty. I ran and hugged her.

'How is she aunty? Why didn't you guys wake me up' I asked when she said

'We wanted you to Ava but we didn't have the time. We had to hurry. Kedar knocked at your door too but neither you nor Neil opened the door and we couldn't wait' she said and I was guilty. Neil was drunk but how could I just sleep so carelessly when my sister needed me the most. I wanted to punch myself.

'There were complications Charda(child). One of the babies had pooped inside her womb causing infection. If not for Shankar we would have never understood the complications' she said and I was shocked.

'Ava ...she passed a green liquid like thing when her water broke last night and Shankar was quick to say it's not healthy. He probably saw something similar with his daughter and thank god we made it on time. The doctor is doing Ava's C-section now' she said and my eyes filled with tears. I noticed Kedar Bhavaji along with Neil.

'Neil came just few minutes ago!!!' she said and I was angry with him now. Why didn't he wait for me?

I noticed Shankar Anna standing near the window looking outside. I ran towards him and he looked at me. I folded my hands thanking him, he simply kept his hand on my head. I couldn't thank him in words for what he did for my family, for my sister today.

After a few minutes the doctor walked out of the OT unit saying 'Congratulations Mr Nayak. You have been blessed with a baby girl and a baby boy and please don't worry Mrs Nayak is perfectly fine now' and Kedar Bhavaji literally collapsed on his knees breaking down into tears. Neil patted his back. I wiped my tears. I am an aunt now. My Pakku has become a mother now.

Nayaks had filled the room and were hounding the babies, analysing and trying to understand how they looked. The nurse and doctor had warned them twice but Nayaks being Nayaks didn't care. I am only waiting for someone to throw us out of the room anytime.

'Kidssss...I think we must go and give privacy to the couple' Gauri aunty said and everyone started arguing and talking to each other making the room sound like a fish market but when Damodar Uncle shot them a glare was when all the Nayaks silently walked out of the room.

It was all so funny. Kedar Bhavaji was the only one who stayed back.

Everyone got into different cars. I noticed Neil was too silent. I saw him go along with Omkar Anna. I tried to join them but I quickly noticed the car was full. Neil didn't even look at me. I took the car along with Rudra Bhavaji.

I thought of going home and talking to him. He was ignoring me and I couldn't understand why. But strangely Neil didn't even wait for me and had left to  office already. I tried calling him but he kept disconnecting the call dropping a message 'Busy. Call you later'.

I was pissed with his attitude. I however wanted to understand the change in his behaviour. I decided to wait for him to come back but I got to know that he directly went to the hospital and when he came back I had already slept off. The next morning he left before I could talk to him. This continued for three consecutive days and now I was frustrated. Amongst all this chaos one good thing that happened was, Sharada aunty had accepted Shankar Anna. She hadn't spoken to him up close and personal but had warmed up to him.

But she had developed a sweet bond with his daughter. For Roshni Sharada Aunty was now 'Bapama' which meant father's mother- grandmother.

Today Kedar Bhavaji had finally brought Pakku home and the house was decorated like a new bride. Pakku was glowing with her twins who seemed to cry and laugh in sync. Rudra Bhavaji had called them a pair of speakers because of their top-notch volume in crying.

The family had planned a cradle ceremony today and everyone was excited. Kedar Bhavaji hasn't spoken to Shankar Anna much but today when he kept his children in Shankar Anna's arms and told them that only he has the rights to name those babies because he was their saviour Shankar Anna's eyes went moist. He declined but both Pakku and Shankar Anna were adamant.

He smiled and named them Pradar and Krithi. We were shocked the way he matched both Pakku's and Kedar Bhavaji's names so beautifully. Amongst all this there was one man who was acting like a grumpy gorilla. Mr Neil Asmodeus Nayak.

While everyone was happy, spending happy time with family as after years the Nayaks were seeing babies in theur house, they all were super excited. Neil on the other hand has been quite busy, working like a machine however today was at home because let's accept it his greed to hold the cute pink chubby babies just like me was competitively strong, but every time I was with the kids he would run away. I had decided  may it what happens I am going to talk to him today.

I was determined. Idiot!!!
