"Sonic! We got a letter from Central City!" Tails shouted happily as he flew to Sonic with the letter in his hands.

Sonic looked at the letter and opened it. The smiled at the form! It was for ten racers. Sonic decided to take one and Tails grab one. They left the rest of the forms in front of the lab and near a mailbox. Soon, all the forms were picked and send off. Sonic and Tails received a list of the participants.

Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles meet up at the race track. The three of them were excited to race and they walked to the places that held 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. However, as Sonic approached the space, big, yellow, uppercase letters appeared. It read reserved. Sonic looked at Tails and Knuckles. They had the same thing happen to them. Three of them shrugged and decided to leave their boards at 4th, 5th, and 6th.

Espio tapped the microphone as he said "Now, racers, please pay the Cup of Racers 10 rings"

Amy walked to the cup first and poured 10 rings into the bowl. At 8th place, was Amy.

"Amy Rose!" the speaker shouted.

"That's me!" Amy shouted as pink hearts danced around her.

Blaze paid her toll and spun around as purple and red flames danced around her.

She said happily, "It's time to do this!"

Rouge reluctantly paid her 10 rings and flew in the air as she said, "Better behave yourselves!"

Omega threw his 10 rings into the cup as he raised his metal arms above his head.

"You won't defeat me" Omega declared.

Vector reluctantly paid his 10 rings and adjusted his headphones as golden music notes danced around him.

"Alright!" Vector shouted as he raised his fist in the air.

Silver tossed his 10 rings in and levitated himself in the air as he said, "I won't lose!"

Shadow paid his 10 rings as he crossed his arms and said, "Hmph! Fine"

Knuckles threw his 10 rings into the cup and raised his fist as he shouted, "Yeah!"

Tails tossed his 10 rings into the cup and flew around as he stated, "I can do it!"

Sonic was about to put his rings into the cup, but Dr. Eggman cut in front of Sonic. Dr. Eggman threw his 10 rings into the cup.

Dr. Eggman shouted loudly, "Yes!"

Sonic sighed as Dr. Eggman took the last place on the starting line. Sonic was about to toss his rings into the cup, but Storm punched Sonic away!

"Hey! That was rude!" Amy shouted as she ran to Sonic.

Tails and Knuckles stood where they were. Storm, Wave, and Jet paid the cup 30 rings. Jet raised his fist.

"Ha! No way I'm gonna lose!" Jet declared as they took their places on the starting line.

Sonic scowled at Jet, but he stood up with Amy's help. He then looked for his ring pouch, but it was gone!

"Ha! Looking for this!" Jet said with a smirk as he held Sonic's ring pouch.

Shadow, Silver, and Knuckles were annoyed with Jet and his team's antics. Silver used his psychokinetic powers to hold Wave in place while Knuckles held Storm to the ground. Shadow pointed his ring blade at Jet's throat.

"I suggest you give that pouch back or you'll lose more than feathers" Shadow threatened.

Jet groaned and threw the ring pouch at Sonic. Sonic caught it as Jet stood at the 1st place. Silver released Wave while Knuckles helped Storm up. Sonic paid his toll and then walked to his place on the track.

"I don't know what just happened, but racers, take your positions!" Espio shouted over the speaker.

Each racer took their place as Charmy held the flag. He waved the flag and the racers were off! Amy was leading with Blaze and Rouge behind her. However, Jet sped past them and took first place. Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles were catching up to Jet. Wave was behind Team Sonic and she threw a bomb at them! The bomb went off and the three of them dodged the bomb. Tails was separated from Sonic and Knuckles! Tails soon found himself with Jet, Wave, and Dr. Eggman!

"We have an offer for you, shorty! If you can slow down Sonic, we can split the reward with you!" Wave offered.

"No way!" Tails shouted angrily.

Dr. Eggman sighed and pointed his mind control ray gun at Tails! Tails screamed when the beam hit his head. Meanwhile, Sonic and Knuckles were in 1st and 2nd place.

"Hey, where's Tails?" Sonic asked.

Knuckles shrugged. However, Tails caught up to them with Dr. Eggman closing in. Storm flew next to Knuckles and shoved Knuckles to the wall! Sonic turned to look at Knuckles, but Tails quickly caught up to Sonic and grab one of his arms and shoved it between Sonic's shoulder blades. Dr. Eggman caught up to Sonic and Tails as he pointed his ray gun at them. He was about to shot, but Silver held his hand and broke the ray gun! Tails blinked his eyes a few times and released Sonic.

"Man, why does my nose hair tingle every time I am hit with a ray gun?!" Tails shouted annoyed.

Sonic laughed a bit, but Jet flew high into the air and was prepared to land on top of Sonic! However, Shadow caught up to Jet. Shadow threw a Chaos Spear at Jet and Jet flew down. Sonic crossed the finish line and was in 1st place. Shadow, Silver, and Jet tied for 2nd and Tails and Knuckles crossed for 3rd place.

"Sonic is in first place! Next race is held in City Escape!" Espio declared as the crowd cheered.

Shadow pulled Sonic and Silver aside.

"What does Dr. Eggman want from us this time?" Shadow asked the other two hedgehogs.

Sonic shrugged while Silver shook his head.

"Hello ladies and gentlemen! I know things seem kind of messy during the race, but I truly meant no harm. I just needed to catch a few things" Dr. Eggman stated as he snapped his fingers.

Cages appeared and trapped Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Blaze, Rouge, Omega, and Vector! Dr. Eggman pulled another gun from his jacket and pointed the gun at Amy.

"Why don't we test this on you?!" Dr. Eggman said as he prepared to shot Amy.

Silver launched a psychic knife at Dr. Eggman. Dr. Eggman missed the knife, but the gun fired and struck Silver! Silver landed on his back as Sonic and Shadow helped Silver up.

"Are you ok?" Sonic asked concerned.

"No, I feel cold..." Silver said weakly as he began to turn to stone!

"What the heck?!" Shadow shouted as he glared at Dr. Eggman.

"Hehe! You remember Sonic's birthday party, right? Well, I took a small piece from the Time Eater and used that small piece to allow my gun to freeze people in time!" Dr. Eggman gloated.

He then transported the cages away with himself. Shadow turned to look at Sonic and a frozen Silver.

"I am guessing you know how to save him" Shadow said.

Sonic smiled and quickly spun around Silver. Silver was then restored back to his original self. However, Sonic heard a buzzing noise coming from his commlink.

"This is Tails! I am with Omega at Green Hills!" Tails shouted.

The three hedgehogs used their extreme gear to fly over to Green Hills. The three hedgehogs saw a colorless Tails, who was about to scream, and Omega, who was about to shut down. However, many Egg-Pawns surrounded the two statues. Shadow and Silver stood in front of Sonic.

"We can handle the Egg-Pawns. You get to my friend and your friend" Shadow ordered as he threw his Chaos Spear at the Egg Pawns.

Silver threw his psychic knife at the Egg Pawns while Sonic sped past them. He sped around Tails and Omega quickly and the two of them were freed from their statue like state. Once Shadow and Silver defeated the last of the Egg Pawns, they turned towards Sonic, Tails, and Omega.

"Ok, Tails, can you track our friends?" Silver asked hopefully.

"Yes, I know Amy is at Chemical Plant with Vector. Rouge is with Knuckles at City Escape. Blaze is at Flying Battery" Tails explained as he checked his commlink.

"Alright, so we just have to save them!" Silver said confidently.

"Hold on, I have a feeling our friends are being guarded by Jet and his gang" Shadow said as he crossed his arms.

"So, what? We can take them! After that, we'll get Eggman!" Sonic encouraged with a wink and smile.

Shadow, Silver, Tails, and Omega could only smile at Sonic.

"Alright then, I will take Omega to get Rouge and Knuckles. Silver, you can have Blaze. Sonic and Tails, find Amy and Vector" Shadow ordered.

The three hedgehogs nodded and they took off. Sonic and Tails made run for Chemical Plant. Tails was able to track their friends using the commlink. The two of them ran past the purple water and through some tubes. The two of them were in on top of a tube, gazing at the many machines.

"I don't see them" Tails murmured.

Sonic could hear the wind whishing violently. He grabs Tails' arm and the two of them were launched into the air.

"Who was that?!" Tails asked as he kept them in the air.

"Jet!" Sonic shouted as the green bird in front of them on his board.

Jet sped past the two of them and blew Tails higher to the sky!

"Woah! Sonic! I need to drop you!" Tails stated with worry.

Sonic saw Jet coming at them again. Sonic smirked.

"Tails, throw me into the air when I say so!" Sonic shouted with a smile.

Tails was confused, but he decided to trust Sonic. As Jet was coming towards them, Sonic nodded.

"Now!" Sonic shouted and Tails used all of his strengthen and threw Sonic into the air.

Jet sped past Tails and Tails was blown to the ground! Jet laughed and then he gulped when he heard someone laughing. He looked up and saw Sonic coming towards him! Sonic kicked Jet off of his board and grab Jet. Sonic jumped to a building safely as he held Jet. He then ran to find Tails.

"Tails! Are you here, buddy?" Sonic called.

"Yep! I was able to find our friends!" Tails shouted as he flew towards Sonic.

Tails lead the way to Vector and Amy. Sonic quickly sped around them and his two friends were brought back to life.

"Are you two ok?" Sonic asked.

"Yes! Thanks to you!" Amy shouted happily as she hugged Sonic.

Sonic sighed as he dropped Jet to the ground. Vector cracked his knuckles as he walked towards Jet.

"Jet and his friends will certainly be punished for his crimes!" Vector stated.

Jet was nervous, but Tails wondered how Shadow and Silver were doing. Shadow and Omega made their way to City Escape.

"Omega, can you locate Rouge and Knuckles?" Shadow asked as the two of them stood in the middle of the road.

"Scanning... Locating... At the center of the city" Omega answered.

Shadow nodded, but the two of them felt the ground shake underneath their feet.

"Omega, go and free our friends. I'll handle this" Shadow said as he stood in his ground.

Omega ran to the center of the city while Shadow waited. A giant truck appeared and was charging at Shadow! Shadow turned around and ran to the buildings under construction. The truck followed him closely. Shadow jumped onto a grind rail and then landed on the roof of a building. The truck brought out buzzers and slashed at Shadow.

"Omega! Are you with our friends?" Shadow asked over his commlink.

"Yes" Omega replied.

"Good, get ready to shoot something!" Shadow said seriously as he sped towards Omega.

The truck followed and Shadow jumped from the roof and ran towards Omega. Omega prepared his guns and aimed at Shadow. Shadow jumped away as the truck appeared. Omega launched missiles at the truck and blew it up! Shadow landed behind Omega.

"Good job" Shadow said with a smile.

Omega nodded and then Shadow looked at his caged friends.

"Can you destroy their cages?" Shadow asked as he looked at his friends.

Omega shot the chains and the bars holding their friends. Omega carried them out of their cages and placed them in front of Shadow.

"Can you save them?" Omega asked curiously.

"Well, if Sonic can do it, I should be able to as well" Shadow said as he got into a running stance.

Shadow sped around Knuckles and Rouge quickly. The two of them were freed from their petrified state and looked at each other.

"Ha! Great job, Knuckles!" Rouge shouted angrily but her expression changed.

She smiled at Shadow and Omega.

"Thank you for saving me" she said happily.

"No problem, but please be more careful" Shadow said seriously.

"What's going on?" Knuckles asked as his fist were on his side.

"Dr. Eggman is up to his usual tricks. Sonic, Silver, and I are trying to fix his mess again" Shadow answered.

"Alright, so where do we go from here?" Rouge asked curiously.

"Let's just head back to Tails' lab. The others would be there soon" Shadow answered as they headed for Tails' lab.

Silver had teleported to Flying Battery Zone. He flew around the zone and looked for Blaze.

"Where is she?" Silver asked himself worriedly.

Wave flew past him as quick as she could. Silver dodged and looked back at her. He landed on a platform and glared at the bird.

"Where is she?!" Silver demanded as he clenched his fist.

"Ha! You'll have to find her! Now, prepare to be crushed!" she charged at Silver on her extreme gear.

Silver needed to fly away, but he didn't have enough power. He saw a crate nearby and lifted it. He threw it at Wave, but she slowed down and moved around the crate! Silver ran away and jumped on another platform. He glanced upward and saw Blaze trapped in a cage. He smirked. He wasn't as fast as Sonic and Shadow, but he should be able to save her. He jumped to where Blaze was and broke the cage. He grabs Blaze and put her on the ground.

"No!" Wave shouted angrily as she charged at Silver.

Silver quickly sped around Blaze. She was slowly returning to herself.

"Yes!" Silver cheered loudly.

Wave charged at Silver and knocked him off of the platform! Silver was screaming while Blaze returned to normal. She looked down from the platform and saw Silver falling and Wave laughing. Blaze jumped off the platform and then landed on Wave's extreme gear. She lit Wave's board on fire and then jumped to get Silver.

"Silver! Think!" Blaze shouted loudly as she grabs his wrist.

Silver looked at her and nodded. He stopped falling and held Blaze close to him. They landed on a platform and they looked for Wave. Wave landed on a separate platform as she put out her extreme gear. She glared at the two of them while Silver quickly teleported them away. The two of them appeared in Tails' lab and were grateful to see Shadow, Omega, Rouge, and Knuckles.

"Wait, where is Sonic and Tails?" Silver asked curiously.

"He should've been done with his work" Shadow said as he looked at the doors.

Sonic, Tails, Amy, and Vector entered the room.

"Hey! How's it going?" Sonic asked as he fist bumped Knuckles.

"Good! We found everyone!" Silver shouted in joy.

"Except Dr. Eggman. He still has that machine to turn our world into a white mess" Shadow said seriously.

Tails looked at his computer and gasped.

"Shadow's right! We better hurry too!" Tails shouted as he pointed at the screen.

Everyone looked at the screen and in shock a bit. Dr. Eggman was making his way towards Central Square!

"What are we going to do?!" Tails asked worriedly.

"Shadow, Silver, you're with me. Everyone else, protect the people and creatures there" Sonic said seriously.

"I presume you have a plan" Shadow asked unimpressed.

"Yep!" Sonic replied as he sped into the city.

The others followed close behind and then Dr. Eggman appeared in the Square.

"Ohoh! Listen well everyone! For this will be the day I shall conquer the world!" Dr. Eggman proclaimed.

The people and creatures were scared while Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Vector, Blaze, Rouge, and Omega appeared.

"Well, if you're here then that means those three hedgehogs are nearby" Dr. Eggman whispered.

Silver jumped from the roof of a building and tried to freeze Dr. Eggman in place. Dr. Eggman moved out of the way and pointed his gun at Silver. Shadow launched a Chaos Spear at the beam coming from Eggman's gun. The Spear was able the destroy the gun and the beam!

"No!" Dr. Eggman shouted as the gun crumbled in his hands.

Sonic jumped from a tree and kicked Dr. Eggman off of his mech! Dr. Eggman landed in front of Sonic and his friends. Dr. Eggman quickly ran away from them.

"Should we go after him?" Shadow asked as he looked at Dr. Eggman.

"Nah! We'll get him another day" Sonic said with a laugh as he turned to his friends, " Now, why don't we finish our race?"

The others agreed and they ran off to the racing track to enjoy a nice race.
