Lucy P.O.V

I ran from roof top to roof top, my legs couldn't seem to go fast enough. I reached the scaffolding in no time and soon, I was sliding into Droys lab. " Lucy! Perfect timing!" Droy called, an enormous grin on his face that was contagious.  " Droy! Is it finished?" I asked excitedly. He grinned and lifted a small vile, no bigger than the serum viles and filled with a white liquid. " This vile has enough for three people. If we can get a hold of more flowers I can make more." He said and I nodded. " As soon as Natsu is in better shape he's gonna show us the way down there." He nodded before his face hardened. " Get that to Levy ask quickly as possible. This too." He handed me another vile. "Damage will have been done from this damn virus. This medicine won't reverse it, but it will help start the healing process. Gildarts will know what to do afterwards."

I nodded and tucked it into my belt before running for the zip line. I pushed myself forward,  my feet hardly touching the rooftops as I flew over the city. I soon reached the bar and threw the door open, nearly tripping over people as I ran through the bar. I nearly ran into Gildarts as I headed for the infirmary. " Wow there little Lu, what's the rush?" He asked as he caught my shoulders. I grinned up at him and held out the white filled vile, his eyes widening. He carefully snatched it from my hands and returned to the infirmary.

I followed him, my earlier enthusiasm dying as I laid eyes on my tiny friend. Gajeel was sitting on the edge of her cot talking to her softly, she made small noises as she was unable to talk anymore. Gildarts knelt beside them and took her pale hand. " Levy, Lucy just came back from Droys. Your gonna be ok." He said, a smile on his face. Gajeel looked back at me and I tried not to notice the brightness in his eyes. Levy made a small noise as Gildarts talked to her and I came to stand beside them. " Thank you Lucy." Gajeel said quietly as Gildarts gave her her shot and I rested my hand on his shoulder.  " She's going to be alright." I said quietly.

Levy P.O.V

I was so tired, all I wanted to do was sleep. But I knew I couldn't,  because this sleep would be the everlasting sleep. I wouldn't see Gajeel anymore, I wouldn't see Lucy, I wouldn't see anyone. So I stayed awake, fighting passed the fatigue and the pain. Some time yesterday, or was it only an hour ago, Gildarts gave me Droys finished cure. Or I thought he did, maybe I was hallucinating. After awhile the pain finally started to go away, and I thought I was finally dying, no that's not right. I would know if I died wouldn't I?

No, I was alive! The first thing that came back was overall feeling. Everything was heavy but I couldn't move, though I could slightly move my jaw. I coughed slightly, though it was nothing like the bone jarring bloody ones I had been having. It was a simple dry throat cough. I felt an arm around my back and something cool against my lips, and I greedily drank the offered liquid, thirstier than I thought I was. As the arm laid me back I tried to speak but again only a small noise made it out.

I was getting frustrated now, it would be the same all day. I would wake up after sleeping for so long, that arm again either feeding me soup or giving me a drink, and something warm around my hand, a rough voice or sometimes a soft one, then it was back to sleep. I lost count of how many times I fell asleep, but this time was different. I still couldn't see, but as the usually barely audible voice spoke, I could hear him. " Hungry shrimp?" I felt my lips pull up in a small smile. I tried to find my voice, glad when it offered itself up willingly. " Yeah..." my voice was harsh with days, weeks?, of unuse. He chuckled softly as he carefully lifted me and feed me like usual. " How's she doing?" It was that soft voice again, Lucy. " She's got her voice back, still a bit weak though." I felt my eyebrows pull together and I snorted slightly, causing them both to laugh. " You know what I meant shrimpy." I snorted again as he laid me back down.

" I gotta still Gajeel from you Levy, we've got work to do." She said, her voice was closer now and I felt her hand on my arm. I fought to use my voice again, this time it was easier. " Be... safe..." I coughed a little. " Whatever the lady wants." She said with a soft giggle and soon I was left alone, falling back to sleep.

Gajeel P.O.V

It has been nearly a month since giving Levy the cure, and I was glad she was finally speaking again. Natsu was finally recovered enough to lead us to the underground cavern where he found the miracle flower. Gildarts was going with us incase there was anything else useful down there. Natsu lead us to an abandoned warehouse, wouldn't you know it was the one Levy and I crashed through the roof of months ago. He lead us into the basement and into the tunnel connected to it.

We soon reached the enormous underground cavern, and we were left speechless. " Natsu... This is a medical gold mine!" Gildarts shouted, his voice echoing across the cavern. He gave us instructions on what to grab and our large group  spread out, grabbing everything he told us.  Once we were finished there were still hundreds of flowers scattered everywhere. " This is a new beginning guys," Gildarts said as we left the warehouse and headed for Droys place. " The slums will be reborn and a new Era will begin."

"What about the white district?" Lucy asked. " Let's take care of our people first, then we can worry about them. They're lucky we'll help them at all." Gildarts snorted, making us chuckle.  " We should send a message to Erza and Jellal, get them some help too." Juvia said with a large smile and we nodded. This was a new day for everyone, the dawn of a new way of life.
