Jeon Areum's POV
I woke up early the next morning, head pounding, and felt the worst feeling in my stomach. Fuck- I'm gonna throw up. Leaping out of bed I rushed outside before vomiting on the barren ground.
After gathering myself, I decided that there's no way I'm getting back to sleep, so I decided to just stay outside a bit longer. I turned around to look at the dead campfire from last night, but what I saw took me off guard. Jisung was lying on the ground, completely passed out. I ran over, calling his name, and his skin was cold to the touch. He had multiple layers of clothing on, but sleeping outside in winter is life threatening!
"Jisung." I called, shaking his shoulder a little, but he didn't wake up. Fuck, what do I do!? At that moment I saw Mark run outside and throw up in a spot similar to me.
"Mark!" I yelled, letting him finish throwing up his stomach contents. "Help! Jisung's not moving!"
He immediately woke up, running over to see what was wrong.
"Has he been here all night!?" He asked.
"I don't know, I think so?" I replied. "He's passed out, and absolutely freezing."
"We need to get him inside." He told me. "He could have hypothermia."
"Fuck." I breathed out, seeing a cloud of warm air escape my lips. It was cold.
"Move him gently. No sharp movements." Mark ordered, as we lifted him by the armpits and slowly dragged him inside. "I'll take off his damp clothes and get him some warm ones. You get blankets and warm compresses, not hot ones." As I was looking round for blankets, I saw dry blood dripped all over the floor. I followed the trail which led to where Renjun and Jeno were sleeping. What the fuck?
I pulled the blood stained blanket off of Renjun, to see his leg completely slashed open and his right ankle was bruised badly. It shocked me how he was even asleep, he had a huge cut on his calf that was covered in dry blood.
"Renjun?" I shook him awake, wondering what the fuck he'd done. "Wake up."
"What is it?" He mumbled, looking like his head hurt a lot.
"What the fuck did you do to your leg?" I asked, panicked, pointing to it. It took him a few seconds to register what I just said, but then he looked down to see the huge mess he'd made and nearly shit himself.
"What the fuck!?" He yelled, panic completely waking him up. This caused Jeno to stir as well, but he kept his eyes closed. "I'm bleeding! My ankle! What the fuck!?"
"Areum! Blankets!" Mark yelled, so I quickly grabbed the blankets off Renjun and Jeno, leaving them cold, and ran back over to Jisung.
"What's going on..?" Chenle mumbled, rubbing his eyes. "Mmmhh- why is there blood everywhere!?"
"Chenle!" Mark yelled. "Make Jisung a warm drink right now!" Chenle looked confused for a second, but then saw Jisung basically unconscious and nearly fell out of his bunk to get a warm drink.
"Areum, hold this warm pack on his chest, and another on his nape, not on his arms or legs. Try and wake him up, but keep him still and warm."
"Got it." I replied. "Renjun's bleeding. Can you go look at it?"
"Renjun's bleeding?" Jeno mumbled, opening his eyes and then nearly screaming at the sight. "What the fuck!?"
This in turn woke everyone else up, and before long the whole place was filled with hungover, confused, and terrified teenagers.
"Jisung?" I spoke gently, holding the warm pack gently on his neck and chest. "Jisung can you wake up please?" After a while a long and painful groan came from Jisung, and his breathing got a little less shallow.
"What's.... going on?" He mumbled, almost incoherently. "A-Areum?"
"Jisung!" I smiled. "Thank god you're awake. Fuck me I thought you died!"
"I... I died?" He asked.
"No! No you're alive." I smiled, causing him to smile a little too.
"Ok, good." He replied. "My head hurts."
"I'm not surprised." I laughed. "I think you drank a lot last night."
"I drank?" He muttered, holding his head. "Why?"
"Good question." I replied, and Chenle brought over some warm water with a lemon slice in it. Not exactly gourmet, but we've got limited supplies here. Jisung took a sip, and held the drink in his hands.
"Why is everyone screaming?" He suddenly asked me. I hadn't realised it, but everyone else had gathered around Renjun to help clean his wound. I turned to look round, and Mark and Jaemin were cleaning Renjun's wound and trying to stop it from bleeding, Jeno was holding Renjun's leg up above his heart to minimise blood loss and Haechan was holding an ice pack on Renjun's swollen ankle.
"Need any help?" Chenle asked them, to which mark replied "Can you find antibacterial wipes and bandages somewhere?" They'd accidentally opened the wounds again when trying to clean it, and needed bandages ASAP. I stayed with Jisung to make sure he didn't collapse again, but not having to panic made me think back to last night. What I did. Should I have done it? Does Jaemin remember it? Does anyone else remember it!?
"Okay, all done." Mark sighed after a while. "Jaemin, could you make everyone some hangover soup? I think we all need it."
"Yes we do." He laughed, holding his head. Now that the panic was over everyone had time to remember their headaches.
We decided to eat inside the van, because we didn't think it was safe for Jisung to go back outside yet. We gave Renjun some painkillers, but he couldn't walk, not for a long time anyway. After breakfast we tried to collectively remember what happened last night. No one mentioned truth or dare, so I thought I wouldn't either.
Turns out, the last 3 people remaining were Renjun, Jeno and Jisung. Renjun was dancing when he stood on his foot wrong and twisted his ankle, falling onto some barbed wire. Jeno picked him up and dragged him inside, which explains the blood trail. He called Jisung in, but Jisung stood up and fell on the ground he was that drunk, and he just passed out. Everyone else was asleep, so no one noticed.
"Let's not drink again for a while." Haechan suggested, and we all agreed.
We decided to stay there for a few more days to 'recover' in a way. Those of us that weren't injured went to Minji and asked about quick fix jobs in the area, so we went round cleaning people's homes and serving in restaurants and bars for a short while to earn some extra cash.
I liked working in the bars at night, because I'd get a lot of tips off guys. Obviously I didn't 'like it' because they were all creeps, but position your tits a certain way and you'd get double what you normally would around a creepy guy. Give them a few flirty smiles and bam you're rich. One time Jaemin actually pulled me up about it because he saw me wink at a regular when they placed a large tip down my bra, but I just brushed it off.
"You can't be alright with that." He whispered, side eyeing the local creep. "What if he pulls something later on?"
"Then I kick him in the balls and we leave." I replied. "I can handle it Jaemin, don't worry."
"Hmmm, I still don't like it." He huffed. "That guy especially. You're not even legal yet Areum."
"Yes but he doesn't know that." I replied. "And he's loaded. Plus, last time I checked, I bring in the most money out of all of us." To this he just scoffed, and we carried on with our shift.
After a week Jaemin still hasn't said anything to me about what happened the night we got drunk. I told him I liked him, and we did some... stuff... and he's just acting like normal. Do you think he's forgotten about it...?
The next day we decided that we'd leave to go and find my grandparents house, where Minji grew up. I asked if she wanted to come along but she declined, saying she didn't want to impose on our journey. We set off, saying our goodbyes before leaving Gwangju for Seoul.
On our way there we stopped off at a gas station to get fuel and supplies.
"I'm gonna go in and grab some food." I tell everyone. "Anyone coming?"
"I'll go." Jaemin offered, but was stopped by Haechan.
"Actually, Chenle will go." Haechan interrupted, placing a hand on Jaemin's shoulder. Umm?
"I will?" Chenle asked, but received multiple glares from the guys. "I mean, I will!" And the two of us went inside.
"What was that about?" I asked, sweeping multiple packets of ramen into the basket.
"O-oh," He stuttered. "Well, I was just wondering if you wanted to talk about... anything?"
"Anything specifically?" I stopped to look at him.
"Erm... about that night everyone got drunk.." he mumbled. "Ever since then you've looked like you have something on your mind."
I took a huge breath of relief.
"Chenle I've been waiting to do this for ages." I sighed, picking up the last few items before getting in the queue. "We played truth or dare. Do you remember?"
"Yeah." He replied.
"But nobody else does. So I just didn't mention it." I replied. "I was dared to kiss Jaemin. So I did. And then we left the game and carried on kissing, and then I-"
I told Chenle what happened, and shock covered his face.
"Areum what the fuck." He muttered, eyes and mouth wide with shock. "You haven't told anyone about it for a whole week!?"
"Chenle I touched his fucking dick and he doesn't even remember." I retorted. "I'm not gonna go yelling it to his fucking friends."
Chenle held his head in his hands as we moved to the till to pay. I think the old couple behind us heard our conversation, since they kept giving me dirty looks. Oops.
