"Go the fuck to sleep!" Nico Minoru yelled as her staff lit up a bright white. The villain, who had referred to himself as the "stilt-man", fell to the ground completely passed out. The runaways had been having lunch in the park when this shmuck had shown up and tried to terrorize the bystanders.

(Still bugs me the only thing we've seen of stilt-man in the MCU are his legs)

"Huh. I didn't even have to do anything" Nico quickly turned as she watched Spider-Man land on the ground beside her. "Didn't expect to see you here Sister Grimm" he held a hand up and Nico high fived him.

"Nice to see you too Spider-man" she smiled as the other runaways walked up to them.

Spider-Man nodded at them. "L.S.D, sup" he nodded at Karolina. "Bruiser" he high fived Molly and yelped in pain as a result. She laughed and he turned to Gert and chase. "Arsenic, talkback" he then noticed the new guy. "You're new! I'm Spider-Man"

"Yeah I kinda figured that out. I'm (Y/n)" (y/n) nodded before quickly turning to Nico. "I didn't know you guys had superhero names. When do I get one?"

"Once you come up with one I guess" Nico shrugged before turning back to Spider-Man. "You do know you know our real names right? Could just use those"

"Yeah but superhero names are fun" Spidey shrugged before he turned to (y/n). "What's your shtick?"

"I- uh" (y/n) sighed. "Yeah I've got nothing" he crossed his arms. Nico walked to the boys side supportively. He was thankful she didn't touch him, but he was surprisingly also a bit upset.

"Well you don't need powers to be a hero" Spider-Man shrugged.

"Yeah! You just need childhood trauma and fists!" Molly smiled at her newest friend. "You've got both!"

"Thanks Molly" (y/n) smiled back at her. "But something tells me I should probably have something to fall back on if fists fail me"

"You have the X-ray glasses" Nico slid the glasses from the boys shirt pocket and held them up.

"So my power would be looking through womens clothes?" (Y/n) raised an eyebrow. "Because there's no way I'm looking through mens clothes... not below the waist at least"

"C-can I borrow those?" Spider-Man asked as he looked at the glasses. Everyone looked at him surprised. "For research purposes"

"Can I use them to look through your mask?" (Y/n) asked in return as he took the glasses back from Nico. Spider-Man shook his head. "In that case the answer is no"

"Anyways!" Nico quickly changed the subject and turned back to Spider-Man. "You gonna take this bad guy away or whatever?" She kicked the metal suit laying by their feet. The man inside didn't even stir.

"Nah. I leave that to the cops" Spider-Man quickly webbed the guy to the ground so if he awoke then he wouldn't get up. "You guys wanna go get pizza?"

Everyone seemed to agree so they began walking towards the pizza place.

"By the way-" (y/n) began as he started to think about her teams hero names. "What does L.S.D stand for?" He asked as he turned to look at Karolina.

"Lucy In The Sky" Karolina replied as she started humming the song. "The Beatles are my favorite band. And Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds is my favorite song"

"They're my favorite band too!" (Y/n) smiled and Karolina quickly returned the smile. "My grandmother had some of their records. She left them to me when she died" the boys smile suddenly faded. "Guess that's just another thing I left behind"

Nico slowed her pace so a moment later she was between the two Beatles fans. "We'll get those back for you. Promise" she smiled at the boy comfortingly.

(Y/n) nodded but his smile didn't return. He was to deep in thought about his past to smile. "Thanks Nico"

A couple minutes later the group was sitting in a pizza place. It wasn't super clean but spidey said they were the best in the city. "This place looks like it'll give me the plague" (y/n) grimaced as he looked around.

"That's how you know what's good in the city" Spider-Man spoke as he lifted his mask slightly so he could sip his water. "If it looks like this but people still come here then it's amazing"

"That... actually makes sense" (y/n) nodded in understanding. He glanced over at Nico who sat on his left, Karolina sat on his right and the others were spread around the circular table.

"So..." Spider-Man started as he stared at (y/n). "New guy, tell me about yourself. How come you're hanging with these guys?" Nico tried to motion that it was a bad idea to ask but it was to late.

(Y/n) considered his words for a moment. (Y/n) slipped his hand into Nico's under the table. He figured talking about his past would be one of the few things that gave him this opportunity. Sure he was playing with her sympathy for him but whatever. Nico squeezed the boys hand lightly. She was no doubt surprised by his actions. He had never been more glad touching was easier when he initiated it.

"Well Nico kinda forced me to come with them" (y/n) shrugged as the words came out. "I reckon she's sweet on me"

Nico shook her head as spidey laughed at that. "Your lucky I know about your past. Otherwise I would turn you into a newt and squash you for what you just said" Nico whispered in a scary tone of voice. (y/n) shuttered a bit at the idea but kept his hand entwined with Nico's against his better judgement.

A couple minutes later two pizza pies, one normal and one half normal half vegan, were put on the table. "Thanks!" Spider-Man called to the chef as he walked back to the kitchen. "Eat up folks"

"This actually does look good" (Y/n) smiled as he reached out and grabbed a piece by the crust and slid it onto his plate.

A thought popped into Nico's head and she turned to the boy. "Have you ever had pizza before?" She watched as the boy turn the plate around in his hands and look at the food.

"I can't say I have" (y/n) replied as he looked the food over once again. "What's the red stuff?"

"You've never had pizza?!" Spider-Man asked with wide eyes. "This is a monumental moment!"

"The red stuff is tomato sauce" Nico replied as she grabbed a slice of her own with her free hand. "The yellow is cheese and the crust is the crust"

"Cheese and tomato sauce?" The boys face scrunched up in a disgusted way at the idea. "That does not sound like a good combo"

"Just try it! You'll like it!" Molly spoke from next to Spidey-Man.

"Fine" (y/n) shrugged. "I will" he reluctantly broke the handholding with Nico and picked up a fork and knife.

Spider-Man and the others all gasped in horror as they watched the boy cut the pizza into small pieces. "That- that-" Spider-Man was speechless as he watched the boy pick up a piece with his fork and put it into his mouth.

"That's unforgivable!" Necessary_Chaos yelled as he watched with wide eyes from the counter where he had just ordered his pizza.

"I-I know you've never eaten a pizza before but that's just about the worst sin you can commit" Chase spoke as he watched the boy calmly pick up another piece with his fork.

"I'm the one who thinks everyone should be treated fairly and evenly and even I think that's taking it to far" Gert spoke as she watched with a frown as the boy calmly continued to eat.

"This isn't bad actually" (y/n) ignored the pleas of his friends. He stuck his fork into another piece. He held it up for a moment as if to show what he was doing more clearly. And then he stuck it in his mouth and ate it.

"How could you?" Molly whispered as she watched in horror.

"I-I have to get away from here" Karolina picked up a vegan slice of pizza and went to go talk to the cameo character at the counter.

(Y/n) smirked as he watched the people at the table . Nico noticed this and that's when she realized for the first time just how bad he really was. (Y/n) (l/n) was watching the world burn, and he had lit the match.

Nico couldn't help but let out a smirk of her own. She slowly picked up a fork and knife before beginning to cut up the rest of her piece as Spider-Man began to cry and pray for their souls.
