Sylvan
Sylvan's Log
Since Ms. Cinder apparently is making the rest of the Runaways do it, I'll help, telling my side of when they picked Maxwell and me up. I guess Obsidia went first, and I guess I'll use the same format as her. She is the captain after all.
"Hey, Max, Syl," Secilia hissed, poking her head into the room.
"Yeah?" I asked, sitting up sleepily,
"I need you and your brother in the living room."
"Coming," I said, motioning for her to close the door. She backed out, closing the door behind her. I woke up Max, shaking his shoulder.
"Secilia needs us in the living room." I hissed.
"Put a shirt on," Max replies, sitting up. "I doubt the visitor needs to see you shirtless."
I snorted, putting a green shirt on. "Happy?" Yes, I sleep without a shirt on. And yeah, forgotten shirts actually isn't that uncommon among the boys and Annmarie. Apparently, mermaids don't wear shirts usually. I mean, I can see why, the fabric interfering with water flow as they're swimming, but still.
"Much better," Max replies, swinging his legs off his bed. He, of course, was fully clothed in jeans and a t-shirt. I have no idea how he can sleep like that. Absolutely no idea. I can't sleep unless I'm in actual pajamas. He thinks I'm strange cause of that.
"Why do you say we have a visitor?" I wondered, trying to decide my hair color for the day.
"Cause, Secilia doesn't usually wake people up. Have you noticed that at this house, everyone gets up when they want to."
"Huh, you're right." I decided.
"I'm doing black today," Max said, his hair turning black.
"I'll do that light caramel Annmarie has," I decided, my hair shifting color to the caramel color. "And blue to go with it."
"And pale as heck?" Max shot back, his skin shifting to a tone slightly darker then Secilia's.
"Yeah, sure." I decided, shifting my skin tone so it was closer to Kora's skin, which was almost white.
He rolled his eyes as he was shifting them to dark brown. I smirked at him as we both exited the room, walking down the stairs to the living room.
"Sometimes, I can't even tell the two of you are related," Secilia said, exasperated. "Or that you're the same person." She threw her hands up in the air, plopping down on the couch next to who I presumed to be our visitor. She was really short, her legs not even reaching the ground. Her kinda large wings had greyish-blue feathers with metal where you'd expect the bone and skin of normal wings to be, the feathers sprouting from the metal.
"They aren't the same person, they're clearly two different people." The visitor said, blinking at us owlishly.
"That's not what I meant!' Secilia squaked.
"Secilia, you good, I heard the squawking that meant a wounded Secilia," Danny said, coming into the room.
"Argh, you're impossible sometimes," Secilia huffed. "Obsidia, this is Danny, my cousin, and these are the two you came to pick up, Maxwell and Sylvan."
"Oh, you're the pickup we've been hearing about for weeks," I muttered. "Took you long enough."
"Well, I'm sorry if our engines can only handle massive amounts of speed for a short amount of time." Obsidia shot back, standing up. I realized she was a great deal shorter than everyone else. Even Danny, who was kinda short, towered over her by several feet.
"How old are you?" I asked cautiously.
"I'm not telling you," she replied firmly, standing up on the couch so she could look us in the eye better. "If I ever do, you will follow me, or leave the ship."
"Okay?" Max said, nudging me when I made a confused face.
"She's younger than you two," Secilia offered. "If I say much more, the only place I'll be safe on that ship is the engine room."
"The engine room?" I asked.
"The place where the engine is located." Obsidia deadpanned. "Also, it's Mirale's domain. I avoid it."
"As I said, the only place I'm safe from her while she's on earth. Except for other universes." Secilia continued.
"Whatever, the rest of the team is in the kitchen if you wanted to meet them," Danny said, frowning. "Don't blow your brains out though, all five are aliens."
"Ms.Cinder went to get her hair cut I believe, you'll have to meet her when she gets back," Obsidia noted, hopping off the couch to head into the kitchen. "I was waiting for you, and now I can finally eat!"
I blinked as she pushed her way past us. She was surprisingly strong, her seemingly gentle shove to make me and my brother move nearly pushed me onto my backside! Seriously, Obsidia is the strongest on the team, despite being the youngest. I like just realized if I wasn't used to females being better then me, I would probably be offended. Kinda difficult to have any sort of ego when you literally have a girl who could kill you (and maybe would if you made her mad enough) in about two seconds. After giving you a half hour headstart.
Secilia shrugged from her position on the couch but didn't get up. "You guys go ahead, I already ate."
"And you don't want to incur Obsidia's wrath by accident." Danny retorted.
Secilia shrugged again. "Yeah, pretty much."
"Silly cousin," Danny teased, flying down the hallway to the kitchen.
