Three
Harry was laying in the shared room between Ron and him- but Draco laid to him this time.
It was three in the morning, and Ron was snoring loudly, whilst Draco slept peacefully, curled up next to Harry.
When Harry appeared next to Draco in the burrow- ohh boy did Mrs. Weasley ever freak out. It started with her grabbing Harry by the ear and ordering him to turn back- because she assumed that somebody was playing a sick prank on her.
Once she realized it actually was Harry, she slapped him on the arse with a broom while he tried to run away from her. Then she started crying and hugging him, saying how much she's missed him. It broke Harry's heart.
All the while Draco was still standing in front of the fire place awkwardly, not really knowing what to do with himself.
Mr. Weasley awkwardly went up to him eventually, and began talking to him about little things... like where they had traveled, so on. It felt nice, to Draco. To talk to someone new, to share his and Harry's adventures with someone new. It felt relaxing, almost. But he still had that thought in the back of his brain- there's still Deatheaters out there. His father.
Harry sighed and looked over to his sleeping boyfriend, a faint smile playing on his lips as he did so.
Draco looked so peaceful when he was sleeping- as if nothing was bothering him... as if they weren't on a brink to another war.
Harry got out of bed slowly, careful not to wake up Ron or Draco. He slipped on his slippers and quietly made his way downstairs. He couldn't sleep... the thought of Death Eaters kept nagging at his mind, so he decided some fresh air would help.
And so he stepped outside, into the cold air.
He tugged his house coat closer around him, and stared up at the Stars. It was quiet. Peaceful.
The door creaked opened behind him, followed by a woman's voice, "hey."
It was Ginny.
She was wearing a light pink house coat, her hair tied in a high ponytail.
Harry looked back and smiled softly, "hey."
She stood next to him as Harry's attention went back up to the sky, but he still felt Ginny's gaze lingering on him.
"You haven't changed much." She commented, "you're still the same Harry I knew. The idiotic one." She laughed.
"Hey!" Harry chuckled, "How am I so idiotic?!"
"Well, firstly, you decided it was a good idea to play dead for three bloody years," she begun, "then, you only came back when you were in trouble. And you didn't even tell your friends any of the adventures you went on."
Harry rolled his eyes, "Oh, I was trying to stay safe, okay? And they still found me." Harry sighed, "and the adventures... they were... extraordinary, I'll tell you that."
Ginny smiled softly at him, "I know you're going through alot, Harry, but you don't have to face this alone." She explained, "you have your friends- your family. Just don't pull a stupid stunt like you did three years ago. We forgive you for that, you know that. We're all here for you. We're going to help you. We won't go through another war, and the Death Eaters will be gone for good, I promise."
"How do you know, though?" Harry asked, sadness taking over him, "and even if- people will still die... my friends will still get hurt... it's just going to go on a repeat from last year."
"Harry," Ginny placed a hand on his shoulder, "it won't go on like last year. We're going to have a plan- we're going to think smartly on this one. We'll outsmart them. I know we will. No one has died just yet- they're holding back. We don't know why- but they are. Everything will turn out fine. Now get to bed, it's late."
Sighing, Harry nodded. "Alright. Thank you, for that."
Ginny smiled sweetly at him and gave him a hug, before each went back to their rooms and fell into a dreamless slumber.

arry woke in a jolt by screaming and crashing coming from downstairs. He looked to his side, expecting to see Draco- but he was gone. He instantly put on his glasses and grabbed his wand shared a worried glance with the now awake Ron, afterwards each if them bolted down stairs.
The smell of smoke instantly filled their nostrils as soon as they stepped out of the door.
As soon as they made it to the bottom of the staircase they spotted Hermione and Ginny attempting to pick up Author and Molly, who seemed to be knocked out.
Ron instantly ran to their sides to assist- but Harry was just filled with more panic when he realized Draco was missing.
"Where's Draco?" Harry asked, "what happened?"
Hermione looked up, tears streaked her face, "he's upstairs- with Pansy." She spoke, her voice rasped from the smoke.
Harry instantly spun around and made his way back upstairs.
His heart was hammering, his throat burned from breathing in smoke, and his lungs felt as though they were on fire. But he didn't stop.
As soon as he got to the room pansy was staying in, he kicked the door opened, afterwards stumbling in.
Draco was crouched beside Pansy- his arm seemed to be hurting, because he was holding it to his chest.
As soon as he heard Harry he snapped his gaze towards him- tears streaked his cheeks.
"Come on," Harry rasped, "we need to go- now." He crouched down beside Draco and picked up Pansy bridal-style, "Draco, please," Harry begged, "we need to go."
Draco nodded and stood up, holding his arm because of the pain that shot through it.
They made their way downstairs as quickly as possible- luckily it wasn't burnt to the ground yet- and quickly made it out of the burrow with the rest of the family.
Molly and author were laid on the ground, barely breathing, with Hermione, Ron, and Ginny huddled around their bodies. Harry sat Pansy down and made his way towards them, only for Ron to instantly push him away, "Leave." Ron ordered.
"What- Ron-"
"Leave!" He yelled, tears running down his cheeks, "go away! Leave us alone!" He cried out, his face turning red.
"Ron- what have I done-?"
"You left my family down there while you went to rescue them." He pointed to Draco and Pansy- Pansy was still knocked out on the ground, and Draco was watching the argument, too shocked to do anything, "You left us to try and carry them out of the Burning house! They're almost dead!" He yelled.
Harry's stomach dropped, "Ron... I...-"
"Go away!" This time it was Ginny, "can't you see you're not wanted here?! Leave!"
Harry stayed silent for a moment, slightly hurt from Ginny's words because of the encounter with her the night prior, before he looked at Hermione, who was still facing Molly and Author, "Hermione-" He took a step forward, before Ron punched him in the cheek.
"Hey!" Draco yelled out, his voice raspy from the smoke, "don't fucking touch him!" He ordered, standing at Harry's side now.
Ron glared at Draco, "fuck off. This is just as much as your fault as it is Harry's- if you wouldn't of been here, they wouldn't of come."
This time Draco backed up, hurt. He still held his arm, but he seemed to be more pained By Ron's words than anything else.
"I didn't...-"
"Fuck off. You've done enough damage." Ron snapped viciously, cutting Draco off.
He turned to his parents, another sob racking his body.
Harry turned to the burning building- a place he's learned to call home. A place he felt accepted in. A safe place. A place he could never go back to again.
Hermione turned to look at them, before switching her gaze to her girlfriend, who was laying limp on the ground. She quickly moved towards her, letting out a breath of relief when she realized her girlfriends breaths were steady, and she was just knocked out.
She turned to Harry and mouthed a 'thank you', before turning back to Pansy.
"Let's go." Harry mumbled.
And so they went.
Away from the burning house.
Away from the wailing family.
Away from his family.
-
"It was my fault, you know." Draco whispered to Harry.
They were camped out in the forest- in a tent Harry had packed with him. Harry was bandaging Draco's arm, which had a large gash going down from his shoulder to his elbow.
Harry looked up at Draco, noticing how Draco was looking straight ahead, his eyes dead.
"It's not your fault." Harry assured, "Ron was just... upset..."
"If I weren't there, my father would of left the place alone." Draco explained, "I could've stopped it. I could've..." he trailed off, "I could've save them..." he broke into sobs.
Harry sat next to Draco and wrapped his arms around him, allowing Draco to cry into his shoulder, "You couldn't control it, Draco. It isn't your fault your father is psychotic." Harry assured quietly, "Ron didn't mean that... he's hot headed... and his parents almost died, he didn't mean what he said. He was just upset."
Draco pushed himself off Harry and stood up, "no, he wasn't lying. He was telling the truth, Harry. I started this whole mess. If I wouldn't of been so selfish three years ago, my father wouldn't of escaped Azkaban. Your life wouldn't be in danger. People would still be alive, your family would still be okay." Draco listed, tears streaming down his face.
Harry stood up, "your father would've escaped anyway, Draco. He's crazy. Don't blame yourself for your father's actions." There was a pause. "What were you and Pansy doing up there anyway?"
Draco sighed, "it started up there. I heard her scream my name and I made it up there as soon as possible... but... it wasn't her. When I got up there she was already knocked out, and my father stood over her body. Just like in the Ministry." He sat back down on the bench.
"What happened?" Harry asked quietly.
Draco looked away, "he tried attacking me but I deflected his spells. He was hurt before he got there, so it wasn't hard to disarm him. He fled soon afterward." He replied dully.
"And in the ministry? You never told me what happened there."
Draco cringed at the memory, "he... was once again the first Death Eater there. So when he came in disguised as you, I thought it really was you. When you - he - knocked out Pansy, I panicked. Then he hit me, before I hexed him and his spell wore off and I saw it was really him. I threw another spell at him, I think, it's a blur really. Then you came in."
Harry pulled Draco into him once more, before he stood up and bowed slightly with his hand out, "dance with me?"
Draco smiled weakly at him and sat his hand in Harry's, "of course."
