Derek soon arrived back at the cabin and saw Dartan and Cooper catching up. "Hey guys everything all good" Derek asked them and sat on his bed.

"Yeah, you okay man" Cooper asked. "Yeah, I'm okay" Derek said. "Come on Derek, I know you what's wrong you can talk to us we're your mates" Cooper said.

"Alright well I'm sure Dartan told you, but Hazel and I had a thing well sort of" Derek said.

"Dartan didn't tell me anything except the fact that Alex agreed to go out with him" Cooper said. "Oh, wait what she said yes" Derek asked realizing what Cooper said.

"Yes, you were right things can change, and I really like her, so we are going to see where it goes" Dartan said.

"I'm happy for you man" Derek told him. "Thanks, but back to what you were saying" Dartan said.

"Right well like I said Hazel and I had a thing and I found out the day before I left Hazel was pregnant with my baby" Derek said putting everyone in shock.

"Wait what, what happened to the baby" Cooper asked. "She had a miscarriage" Derek told them trying to stay brave. "I'm so sorry man" Cooper said.

"It's okay things happen we should get some rest new day tomorrow" Derek said laying down.

"You sure we can stay up if you need to" Dartan said. "Yeah, I'm sure besides sleep helps" Derek said, and they all nodded laying down turning off the lights as they all fell asleep.
