Vegas, Baby!
I woke up to the most ironic song, 'I lived' by One Republic. Percy was humming along softly, and I scared him by just screaming along the lyrics.
"I DID IT ALL" I screamed.
He jumped up a let out a little shriek.
"You scream like a little girl, Perce." I teased. Instead of trying to make a comeback, he slapped my arm playfully.
"Whatever, Chase. We're here anyway."
I looked out the window. It was amazing. I looked at Percy.
"I'm climbing. Don't freak out." I warned. Before he could react, I climbed out the little window, onto the back of the pickup. There were bars on the cab, and I held onto them. I stood up, and it was amazing. My hair was behind me, and I felt free. I passed the fake Eiffel Tower, and the hot air ballon. The city was lit up, and it was just pure bliss. Eventually enough, Percy pulled over a giant building, which I assumed to be a casino of some sort. Percy basically ran in, dragging me in.
"Annabeth, I'm the best at gambling.
I laughed. "Sure you are. And I can fly."
He punched me. "I'll show you. Meet here in an hour, and whoever has more money wins."
"Deal." I ran to the tables, with Percy going opposite of me. I stopped at the game of 21. I was the best at math, and this was my game. I started counting the cards.

"And that's 21," the woman said. I smiled. Fifty bucks just landed in my hands. I played a couple more rounds, and when it was time to meet Percy, I had earned over 150$.
I ran up to him.
"Well, wise girl? How much?" Percy asked teasingly.
"You first." I demanded.
He held up a wad of cash. "Seventy." I chuckled. "Over 150." I yelled. "BEAT YOU!!" I ran out of the casino, trying to escape from him. He ran, on my heels. When we got to the exit, he had wrapped his arms around my waist and picked me up. I leaned my head over to his. "Let me go!" I teased. But I got lost in his eyes before I could finish. I wanted to kiss him so badly. Before I could react, he recognized the awkwardness of the situation, and set me down.
He cleared his throat. "Um, I thought I'd take you to the roof of this really high building." He said quietly.
I nodded. "That'd be wonderful." I replied. He took my wrist and pulled me to the hotel next door. We snuck in the back, and took the service elevator. When we got to the top, I saw the most beautiful thing. It took my breath away.
"Percy?"
"Yeah?"
"What type of court did you come out of the day we met?" I asked.
He sighed. "Divorce."
"Oh."
"Annie, are you still with your fiancée?"
I gulped. "Uh, no."
"Sorry to hear that." He said sorrowfully.
"Don't be. I never wanted to be with him." I reply, showing no emotion in my voice.
"Well, we should get going if we want to make to the next place on time."
"Where?"
"Nuh hu huh. No way I'm telling you."
I fumed. "Jerk."
He just shrugged off my insult and laughed. We walked to the car together, and I decided to make a decision.
I'm going to ask out Percy Jackson.
