Percy was in the passenger seat, snoring softly. I turned my head at him. He had drool dribbling down his chin, and I laughed.
He got up and stretched as far as he could.
"W-wha you laughing at?" He muttered.
"You drool in your sleep." I teased, and jabbed his cheek lightly. C
BING BING BING
The gas light beeped annoyingly. Suddenly, the truck started creeping and groaning.
"No!No!No!" I shouted. The truck finally stopped.
"What's wrong?" Percy asked quietly.
"Well, somebody didn't fill the gas tank, and now we can't move."
"Can we get gas anywhere?"
I shrugged. "The nearest gas station is probably  ten miles, if I had to guess."
Percy groaned. "Um no. Anything else?"
I grinned. "Hitchhiking."
TIME LASPE
"How much longer?" Percy asked for the millionth time. I heard that every second for almost an hour.
"Soon enough." I gave that response every time. Percy moaned. I squeezed his hand hopefully.
"Look, car!!" Percy screamed.
I smiled. Finally. I ran out into the road an waved my arms. "Over here!"
The car screeched in front of me. It was a sleek black Mustang.
I know that car..
A dark haired fluff came out of the window.
"Annie?" He shouted.
"Leo!" I walked to the window and gave him a half hug. "How are you?" I asked.
"Well, I'm picking you up in the middle of Utah, so you tell me." He retorted. I smiled.
"Give me a ride to the gas station, and I will." Leo waved his hand. "Hop in!"
I pulled Percy into the car, both of us sitting in the back.
"Percy, this is Leo. He was one of my old foster brothers."
Percy shook Leo's hand. "Pleasure." He said politely.
"Ah, so you must be Percy Chase, no?"
My face went bright red.
"We're just friends." I shouted.
Leo raised his hands in a surrender. "So, if you're such good friends, has Annabeth told you about her mo-"
"Leo." I growled.
"Alright! We're here. Do you need a ride back to your car?" Leo asked.
I nodded. "Please."
Leo nodded. " I'll wait out here while you get the gas."
I scowled, then dragged Leo with me.
"Hey!"
"Look, I actually like this guy, and he doesn't know about my past. Don't tell him anything yet. Please." I begged.
Leo hugged me. "Of course not, sis." I pulled away. And slapped his arm. Hard.
"What was that for?!" He exclaimed.
"Gotta keep up appearances, right?" I grinned.
TIME LASPE
Percy and I were at a canyon, watching the sunset slowly take place.
"Shoot." I said bravely.
"Do you like me? Like, like like?"
I looked into his ocean eyes.
"Yes."
His cheeks flushed.
"Percy?"
"Yeah?"
"Do you like like me?" I asked daringly.
"Yeah. I do. I like like you, Annabeth."
I grinned. Before I could realize what was happening, he pulled my face into a kiss.
This one was different then any of the other ones I've ever experienced with Luke. Those were cold and hard, and I always pulled away before it could deepen. But I wanted this one to last forever. I wanted to be with Percy, forever.
I pulled away, but only because I needed air.
"I love you." I whispered softly, so I didn't think he would hear.
"I love you too."
