A gloved hand pushed the door open, the heavy snores of the owner of that house, a 20 year-old man named John, echoed throughout the halls. The icy, bitter wind fought the hand as if to stop the person entering almost as if it knew the intentions of the sharp metal in their pocket, but it couldn't. Could it?

The door clicked as the key turned in the lock. The snores ceased as the floorboards grunted and groaned, 'It must be the wind' John thought. Footsteps hit the stairs, muffled by the multicoloured carpet. John sat up as the door handle wiggled and jiggled until it slowly creaked open, revealing a figure cloaked in shadows. John strained his eyes to see their face using the slithers of moonlight that snuck in through the gaps in the curtains, but it was useless. The black mask that adorned the figure prevented him from seeing anything but those cold, ice blue eyes that stared back at him and the sneer painted on their lips, they were obviously not pleased to see him. 'But why?' John thought 'Why would they be here if they didn't want to see me

John shuffled back in his bed until his back hit the headboard, pinching himself hoping that this was all a dream and he would wake up to the sun shining through his curtains, but alas he was still there, huddled up against the headboard, his dark brown hair out of it's usual slicked back fashion fell into his hazel eyes, the striped pyjamas that adorned his figure still crumpled and creased

The figure stepped forward, snapping John out of his thoughts

"W-w-why are y-you h-here?" John stuttered scared of the weapon glinting in the shadows.

The person just laughed, a cruel laugh, one with no amusement or warmth.

John was shocked by the feminine lilt to their laugh. The shock must of shown on his face as soon after she had started she stopped laughing and looked straight into his eyes, the silent promise of death.

So this is a random thing I created in an English lesson in September and decided to post it on here
So this is meant to 've a one shot however if I get enough positive reviews I may add another chapter.
