No more than one hour after Reaper and I change shifts, I wasn't able to sleep and I heard the sound of people talking in the distance. It was Reaper and Mark. I lay there in the driver's seat silently as I try to listen into their conversation.
"Nightmare huh Pretty Boy?" Reaper asked softly.
"How could you tell?" He replied in a slightly sarcastic tone.
She lets out a small chuckle and sighs. "Hey, Pretty Boy, I wanna show you something." Mark probably hesitated because then she said, "Don't worry, you won't get hurt, and it's nowhere near as bad as earlier."
"O-ok..." he hesitated but agreed. I peeked open my eyes to see where they were going. She had taken his hand and was leading him past her tree and to the other side. Please don't. I begged in my head. While Reaper wasn't paying attention I slipped my head out the window to hear them better.
"What is this place?" I hear the boy ask.
"A grave." I can't believe she actually showed him that.
"Really? Where are all the gravestones?" What a stupid question.
"Look down." Mark gasped in astonishment as he saw the stones. "Every time we kill someone we take a small part of their body and bury it here."
"But there are so many of them." He says looking down at the graves.
"42 of them are mine, 37 of them are Serpent's, 98 of them are Griffin's, and 13 team kills in all. For every one of those kills we collect one finger, some hair, and their voice box and bury them. And each gravestone has a name carved into it."
"So many..."
"You know, after my first assassination I was afraid. We all were. Serpent's first mission was to 'take care of' a group of gangsters that were trying to force their way into the rich world. Mine was to kill a child after ripping it out of the mother's hands. And Griffin, she had to kill a small sweet family that wasn't able to make enough money to get by."
I could have sworn that I heard sniffling and tears falling but I was too tired to think about it. I took my head out from the open window and put it back against the side of the chair and tried to sleep, but I still couldn't.

I ended up falling into a light sleep by the time the sun started to peak above the earth. A soft ding woke me up from my restlet sleep and I turned over to see the small flip phone, that agency had given me to notify me of missions, lighting up with a message.
"From: Boss
-Target 190-
Name: Clifton H. Frederick.
Address: Highland 318, Capital.
Notes: none."
I sigh as I read the text. I look over and see my brother still asleep, Reaper was sleeping up in her tree, Mark sleeping in the bed of the truck, and Serpent was taking watch.
"Serpent!" I call over to the pink haired girl who was wareing a pink leather jacket, black boots, black sweat pants with a pink snake on them and a purple and black shirt. Sometimes I wonder how she got picked to be an assassin, "Can you wake up the boy and Reaper?" I asked as she got an evil smile on her face and nodded at me.
Shaking my brother awake, I watch as Serpent climbs up Reapers tree and knocks her down, then Serpent jumps down landing on a grouchy Reaper, and walks over to Mark who she slaps and yells in his ear about if he 'doesn't get up right now she's gonna run him through with her spear,' her words not mine. I rub my eyes and sigh, I was to tired to deal with a bratty rich boy, the moody snake, a confusing person of death, and my blind brother.
I interrupt the three from killing each other, "Guys stop screaming you're giving me a headache," I grumble, "And we gotta get moving we got another job."
Reaper punches Serpent in the stomach, giving her one last glare as she jumps onto the bed of the truck. Serpent rolls her eyes jumping up after Reaper and helps Mark up.
"Where to Giffin?" Reaper asks as I drive off.
"Capital." I tell them.
Mark's brown eyes seem to bulge out of his head, "You're gonna kill someone from the Capital?"
Serpent shrugs, "They're the same to the boss."
Reaper snorts, "All they gotta do is piss the big guys off and then they are worth just as much as the people from the slums, nothin'."
I see Johnny smile, "Oh stop being so pessimistic." At that me and Serpent laugh.
"Shut it." Reaper growls, glaring at the back of Johnny's head.
I roll my eyes at Reaper's antics when I notice a few motorcycles following us, frowning I start to take off on the maze of roads in the slums that I so happen to know like that back of my hand, trying to lose them.
"Looks like we got some starkers on our tail!" I yell.
I hear something bang into my truck and Reaper curse, "And it looks like they somehow got their hands on guns!" She yells back at me.
Serpent frowns, "Aren't guns banned from like everyone even the government?"
I shrug, "That's what I heard," I sigh as I see a motorcycle come closer, "Reaper, Serpent, got 'em at six o'clock."
They both turn and Reaper pulls out her Scythe, it's just long enough to hit the guy on the motorcycle. Reaper starts hitting him with her Scythe, which seems to be pissing him off, as Serpent pulls out some throwing knives and well throws them.
I cuss as one of them pull in front of me making me slow down, "Guys!" I yell, "A little help?"
Reaper looks and sees the bike in front of me and shrugs, "Run him over." Then she goes back to whacking at the poor man on the bike.
I roll my eyes, "Reaper," I say as if scolding a child, "That would leave blood and probably a dent on my baby!" Reaper scoffs. "Serpent knife me." She hands me a knife, not even breaking from her current knife throwing.
Sticking my head out the side window along with my left arm, I take aim to throw but a voice cuts me off.
"What the hell are you doing?" Mark yells, I had forgotten he was even there. He was huddled in the corner of the bed, cowering, yet he still managed to glare at me.
I rolled my eyes and ignored him. I took aim again and threw the knife at the driver in front of me, the knife found its mark in his neck, killing him. I mentally patted my back, that was a good shot with my left arm. But then the motorcycle stopped right in my path. I sighed, of course. So I did what Reaper told me to do, I ran over him.
I looked back at my team, Reaper had taken care of the guy she was hitting with her Scythe and was now yelling at Mark for something, Serpent had taken care of most of the rest of guys following us but the rest had all turned and left once we got into the Capital.
Johnny frowned, "What happened?"
I sigh, "Just some idiots who tried to attack us."
Reaper looks back at where the men had been, "But how the hell did they get their hands on guns?"
I subconsciously look at the glove box where I had stashed my father's old pistol that he managed to hide from the government, "I don't know..."
