Well that's nothing new- =1=

Dekuwu POV

"Alright class. I'm supposed to be handing these out..." the teacher says as he stepped into the classroom, a stack of papers in his hands. They are probably for where we want to go to high school or something...

It's the last class of the day, and Kacchan hasn't done anything today. I can't tell if that's a good thing or not. Just one more class, then I'm home free. It's the last level of the game. This game of Hell, that's supposed to be my life.

Could this teacher talk any slower? We've got things to do man! Being Kacchan's punching bag is not on my to do list, or something I think I'd ever want to be on there.

I glanced nervously at the clock on the wall, watching as the time ever so slowly start to tick away. Go. Faster. Please.

"Who am I kidding? I know you all want to be heroes!" the teacher exclaimed before tossing all of the papers into the air. Wow. What a waste.

The whole class, excluding me and Kacchan, were shouting and showing off all of their amazing Quirks that they were lucky enough to even have. Also something that they shouldn't be using in school, but we'll just ignore that.

I slumped further into my chair, hoping to just disappear. Anywhere else in all of Japan would be better than right there, in that exact moment. Anywhere.

"Yes, yes. You all have cool and wonderful Quirks, but you still aren't allowed to use them on school property." the teacher spoke up after a minute or two. I know he was only saying that incase the principal walked in or something.

"Tch. hey teach! Don't lump me in with these extras!" I heard Kacchan scoff while also propping his feet up onto his desk. Rude. What did the desk do to you?

"I'm the real deal. These extras will be lucky to end up as side-kicks to some busted wannabe hero." Kacchan added before smirking cockily, his ego shining through. The blonde's ruby eyes held this mischievous look to them, it even makes most of our teachers back down.

The whole class then began to burst out in complaints about Kacchan's comment and his ego. But that's just Kacchan for you. After knowing him since we were in diapers, I've gotten pretty used to his antics.

"Ah, yes. Katsuki Bakugo. You're trying out for UA's hero course, right?" the teacher said, silencing the rowdy and upset group of toddlers- the rest of the class. "Your practice scores were pretty good. Maybe you will actually make it into UA." he finished.

"Tch. I aced the mock exams, and I ace the real ones too. I'm the only one from this damned junior high who'll ever be able to get into UA!" the blonde declared pridefully. Only Kacchan would have that much confidence.

I tapped my pencil against the pages of my hero analysis notebook anxiously, already wanting this class period and the day to be over.

Please don't say it. Please don't say it. That's all that I could think of. Just that one sentence repeating in my head.

"Oh yeah, Midoriya, didn't you want to try out for UA as well?"

God.

Fucking dammit Dave.

Everyone turned towards me and stared at me, silently for a good minute or so. Then they all started busting out laughing. At me. Not with me. I was, for sure, not laughing.

My face flushed bright pink in embarrassment, and buried my face into my arms.
Oh god.

I just want to disappear now more than ever...

"How does a Quirkless wannabe like you plan to get into UA?"

"It's not even allowed for a Quirkless kid to get into UA."

"You'll die in the exam!"

"You damn Deku! A Quirkless nobody like you can't get into UA! That's where the best of the best go." my blonde haired, ruby eyed so called 'friend' growled at me.

"As if you, out of all people, could get into UA!"

Ever heard of that saying, "men weren't all created equal"? That saying almost perfectly describes the world and society currently.

The world is divided into two groups. Not evenly divided may I add.

People lucky enough in this cursed world will be born with a super like power we nowadays call a Quirk. People unlucky enough are deemed less than, worthless even. They are diagnosed Quirkless, as if it was some sort of disease.

I just so happen to be apart of that worthless, unlucky group of individuals.

Just to get a good feel for just how unlucky I truly am, 80% of the world's population is gifted with a Quirk. The rest of the world, 20%, is Quirkless. Most of the people nowadays that are Quirkless, are the older people from the older generations.

I am 14. Not old at all, might I inform you, just incase you were confused.  Yet here I am, Quirkless.

I do have my height going for me which is something at least. I'm 172 cm (5'8 for my fellow americans...) which makes me taller than most of my classmates.

You may be wondering why Kacchan's ego is so big. And maybe even why I call him Kacchan and he calls me Deku.

Kacchan is a nickname I gave him when we were younger. I had a lot of trouble pronouncing and saying his name, Katsuki, so I guess it just stuck with me.

Deku is another way to read Izuku, my given name. Deku means the opposite of Dekiru which means can do it. Kacchan gave it the definition of useless or can't do it.

The reason why Kacchan's ego is so huge is thanks to his Quirk. Explosions. He can create them from his nitroglycerin like sweat. Super flashy, strong, and ideal for a hero. I on the other hand, am Quirkless.

I started packing up everything in my bag, only my hero analysis notebook left. Everyoneelse had already left the classroom, leaving only me, Kacchan, and a couple of his lackeys.

I slung my bag over my shoulder, and went to grab my notebook, before someone grabbed it quickly. "Hey!" I squeaked in protest. I looked up quickly to see Kacchan grinning maliciously at me.

"Kacchan! Give my notebook back!" I protested. He just glared at me before looking over the book. "Really Deku? Hero analysis?" he  remarked.

"Why won't you get it through your thick head? You're Quirkless. Nothing. Worthless. Just ordinary. Less than ordinary!" he shouted in my face. "Stop it!" I begged even. He then used his Quirk to spark explosions before starting to burn my notebook.

Then he quickly tossed it out the open window. "Kacchan!" I yelled.

"You are nothing! You can never be a hero. Never." he spat at me. "Stop it!" I yelled. He growled lowly before placing a hand on my shoulder. "Shut it Deku!" he snarled out before sparking a tiny explosion on my shoulder. I winced slightly at the familiar pain.

He then laughed along with his buddies. He started to leave before stopping at the door.

"Hey Deku, if you really want to be a hero so bad, why don't you take a swan dive off the roof and pray you'll get a Quirk in your next life!" he said while grinning evilly before leaving the room.

I stood there, shocked at what he just said. I knew Kacchan never truly liked me, but... that's far. Even for him.

After standing there for about five minutes, I decided to finally leave. I walked out of the classroom, my feet dragging behind me as I felt the pitiful stares on my back.

Oh.. now they care? What about all the times he's beaten me?

Wow.
