Run [Away] BTS

The members favorite part of their Run BTS show was getting to experience new things. Whether it be new foods, new games, sports, or new places, it was always an adventure.
But sometimes new adventures aren't always enjoyable.
The members were headed to an ancient palace for their latest episode. Taehyung and Yoongi were the most excited because they'd done some research on the palace and surrounding area. It was a place of ancient royalty.
The episode would involve them completing games such as hiding around the palace and using clues to find eachother, as well as some role playing games where they had to pretend to be people from ancient times.
It was a new experience for them and they were excited for ARMY's reaction to it too. They loved being able to bring culture into their show whenever they could.
As the car they were all in turned into the driveway of the palace, the members' eyes grew large in adoration. The palace was light brown with a stone sidewalk leading to the front door. The roof reminded them of a bat's wings, and the windows were in patterns they'd never seen before. Outside lights circled the palace to light up old paintings of dragons on the exterior of it. It was bigger than anyone expected.
"Wow!" Hobi yelled excitedly, "We're filming here?!"
"I wonder how they managed to book this place. It looks more like a museum," Yoongi smiled.
While everyone else was busy admiring the building, Taehyung stared at it confused. It didn't look like the pictures he'd seen online. It was the same building, but the pictures made it seem more lively. Upon seeing it in person, Taehyung wasn't as excited. It seemed dull, as if the building itself was depressed. The atmosphere around the house seemed darker, like the place had it's own ominous aura around it. It made Taehyung feel weird and oddly nervous but he didn't say anything.
They pulled up to the front and got out. Some of the staff gave the members permission to explore outside a bit while they set up their equipment. They walked around to the back and discovered some gardens that were still intact.
"This place must have a groundskeeper or something," Namjoon mentioned.
"So does someone take care of the inside too? Does someone live here?" Jungkook asked as he walked around and inspected some of the flowers in the garden.
"Not live here but someone has to be looking after it to keep it in shape," Jimin replied. As they continued to explore, Jin had touched one of the flowers to admire its beauty a bit more, but when he went to touch it he pricked his finger on a thorn he swore wasn't there before and pulled away.
"Ow! Aish!" Jin cried as he looked at the bleeding prick on his finger. He wiped the blood on his jeans. The rest of them asked if he was alright and told him he needed to be more careful.
Being witty, Jungkook decided to joke that, "Maybe the plants like blood." Jin chuckled, but the joke had freaked him out. That'd be weird.
Taehyung stared at the plant that had pricked his hyung. The comment Jungkook had made wasn't sitting well with him. With the way he was internally feeling about this place, he wouldn't even be surprised if the plants here ate blood. He shivered at the thought. The place gave him the creeps. He couldn't help but feel like something was off, almost sinister, about the place but he had no idea why.
The members were pulled from the outdoor gardens when a staff member came looking for them and told them it was time to get filming. There was some delay because they were having trouble getting the lighting and cameras to work.
The members gathered in a line and waited for the cameras to begin rolling. Once they were on they introduced themselves and where they were. The camera directors started explaining the rules of the game. The members would be given specific places to hide, while one member would be the spy and had to find them via clues. Once the first member was found they could team up or split up to continue to find the others.
The members started begging different staff members if they could be the spy, in which in the middle of a playful argument the director yelled "Cut!"
"What's wrong?" Jimin pouted.
One of the cameramen spoke up, "My camera keeps cutting out."
"Why?" Jungkook asked innocently.
"I don't know, we were having problems during set up as well," the cameraman said. Just then all of the microphones the members were wearing started making ear piercing screeching noises and had to be shut off.
"Maybe this place has bad wiring, it is a really old building," Jimin mentioned.
"Maybe," the man replied. The members took a break while the staff tried to get the cameras and microphones to work. While they were exploring one of the snack tables that was set up to the side, they heard a loud bang and then screaming coming from the recording area. The members looked anxiously at eachother.
"What the hell was that?" Hobi asked, frightened. They all ran to where the screams had come from and saw smashed lights scattered across the floor. There were shards of glass everywhere, and two other cameramen were on the ground. Some team members were helping the two on the ground stop their cuts from bleeding, and someone had called for an ambulance.
"What happened?!" Taehyung screamed. The members frantically tried to help their staff members who had been injured any way they could.
"Someone bumped into me and I tumbled into the lights and they fell over!" One staff said while being treated for their injuries, the other staff member claimed they hadn't been pushed but their own lights fell over on their own.
"I swear this place is haunted or something!" Another staff said, half jokingly, half not. This terrified the members, they didn't like spooky things.
After an ambulance came and took the two staff members to the hospital, the atmosphere was a lot different. The shattered lights had been cleaned up but the members weren't in the same happy mood to film anymore. They all wanted to go home and curl up in their beds and call it a day, but the Run BTS director said that they were able to get the cameras and microphones working again and they needed to finish filming.
The recording started right where they left off. Jimin had been chosen as the spy and he was extremely excited to be able to hunt his members for the game. Just as everyone was getting ready to split up to hide, a staff member came running in from outside.
"Wait! Stop!" the man yelled, "CUT!"
Everyone looked at him confused and the cameras were cut.
"What's wrong?" Jin asked.
"We can't..we can't..film here." The man was out of breath, like he'd just ran a marathon.
"What do you mean we can't film here? We already started and- " Namjoon started but the man cut him off, "We can't film here! It's not safe! We should have never come here! I saw- "as the man was speaking, one of the overhead cameras that was mounted to a pole suddenly tumbled over and onto the man, knocking him unconscious.
More screaming.
Yoongi and Namjoon were frozen while the rest of the members began crying with fear. They all wondered how much could go wrong in just one day. Staff members tried to get their co-worker conscious again, but nothing worked. They had to call for another ambulance.
Taehyung, Jimin, and Jungkook were huddled together hugging each other tightly. Jimin buried his face into Jungkook's neck, the sight of people getting hurt today was too much for him. The rest of them watched as now their third employee had been carried away in an ambulance.
"What do you think he meant?" Jungkook turned to his hyungs, "About it not being safe filming here?"
"Well which example would you like, Kookie? The first two employees who were cut up and bleeding, or the one who was unconscious?" Yoongi said somewhat sternly. Jungkook gulped. He got the point.
"That's it!" The Run BTS director screamed, "We have to postpone this shooting. We will continue filming tomorrow!"
Everyone groaned in annoyance. The members asked where they were supposed to stay because they were quite far from home and setting up a hotel for the night was usually a daunting task. However the staff wouldn't have a problem getting their own hotel for the night.
"I will see about you guys just staying here tonight," the Run director said.
"No!" Taehyung screamed, "I don't want to stay here! This place freaks me out!" he cried.
"We don't have any other options, Taehyung. We can't get a hotel. It's just one night, you will be fine," the director said. Taehyung pouted and Jin rubbed his back. "You really can't find anywhere else? What if we can't stay here?"Jin asked the director.
"I'll make it happen," the director said. As the staff picked up their equipment the members stood around sulking. Taehyung was on the verge of a panic attack as he really didn't want to stay the night in a place he had a bad feeling about ever since they had gotten there.
"It's okay Taehyungie," Jimin pouted to his best friend as he rubbed his back to comfort him, "At least we're all together."
The director quickly came back to state that they had worked out with the groundskeeper that the band could stay the night. The members were surprised the groundskeeper was actually at the building, they hadn't seen anyone.
Taehyung and Jin both groaned. They didn't find this exciting in the least bit.
The staff left and the night came quickly. The members were sharing a room that contained two large beds in it. They had been offered two rooms, but none of them wanted to sleep apart.
"I want to leave," Taehyung pouted while curled up on one bed with Jungkook and Jimin. The maknae's always tended to stick close together.
"But we can't right now," Namjoon informed apologetically, "The night will fly by, we'll record tomorrow, and then we will be out of here."
"At least it's not like we are alone, the groundskeeper apparently sleeps here too." Yoongi said their director informed him of this before he left.
"He sure does keep to himself, we haven't even seen him," Jin said. The members shrugged. They figured the man wasn't used to company.
"Why don't we play a game?" Namjoon suggested, "Oh I know! We could play hide and seek like we were supposed to!"
"That could be fun," Yoongi agreed. Taehyung wasn't on board, he didn't think anyone should split up, but Namjoon told him he'd be fine.
Hobi thought maybe it wasn't a good idea either, but Namjoon and Yoongi persuaded him.
"It can be practice for tomorrow!" Jin said excitedly. Jimin looked around nervously, he didn't quite care to be on his own either. Maybe he and Taehyung could secretly meet up once everyone was hiding.
"Can I be the seeker first?!" Jungkook begged. Everyone immediately gave in to the maknae and said he could do it. Namjoon said they shouldn't use the entire house, but only the floor they were on. They quickly scattered to various rooms as they heard Jungkook counting loudly. When nobody was paying attention, Jimin and Taehyung teamed up and snuck into a room together.
Things went down hill, and fast.
Jungkook couldn't find anyone no matter what. He thought his hyungs were playing tricks on him because he kept hearing movement and noises, such as laughter, coming from behind him and in the rooms. However, every noise he heard turned out to be nothing, and no-one. He was getting disoriented. The floor level they were on was big but he couldn't understand why he wasn't finding anybody. He heard laughter coming from directly behind him.
"Hyung?" he asked as he turned around. There was nobody there. He let out a deep sigh and furrowed his brows. "I don't want to seek anymore!" he yelled. His voice echoed through the halls, and only laughter echoed back. "Hyungs I'm serious! I give up! I don't want to play anymore!" When nobody answered him he started to get anxious. It was like his hyungs had completely disappeared and he suddenly felt entirely alone. Tears stung his eyes, "Hyungs!!!" he screamed louder into the hallways. More laughter. Jungkook realized it wasn't his hyungs laughter either, it almost sounded like a child's laughter. "Hyungies please! I'm scared!" Jungkook cried. Tears spilled down his cheeks, "Please come out! I don't want to play anymore! Please!" the youngest begged. He didn't understand why nobody was coming to him. It wasn't like his hyungs to leave him distressed like this. Usually when he cried they all came running. He started frantically running around into all the rooms looking for any living person at this point.
Taehyung and Jimin were hiding under a bed in one of the bedrooms. After hearing Jungkook finish counting, they hadn't heard anything more from him. They figured he was further away.
"Who do you think he'll find first?" Jimin asked.
"Probably Hobi hyung, he's always found first," Taehyung chuckled. They waited quietly and eventually got so bored they came out from under the bed to explore the bedroom. There wasn't much to it aside from the bed, some dressers, a lamp, and old decor. Jimin found his way into another room and the door slammed shut behind him.
"Taehyung!" Jimin screamed as he frantically tried opening the door, "Help! Open this!"
Taehyung was trying to open the door but it appeared to be locked, "I can't! It won't open!"
Panic set in in both their chests. They were desperately trying to open the door with no success. Neither of them knew how it even slammed closed in the first place.
Jimin looked around and realized he was now in a completely separate bedroom. "Taehyungie wait! I'll come in through the main door!" Jimin said. He ran to the new bedroom door and found himself in the hallway. Yet, the door to the bedroom Taehyung was in had completely vanished.
"Taehyung?!" Jimin screamed. The door should be right here!
Taehyung opened the bedroom door and there was no sign of Jimin anywhere, with no other bedroom door next to him either.
"Jiminie?" Taehyung gulped nervously.
"Taehyung?!" Jimin started screaming.
"Jimin?! Where are you?!" Taehyung was panicking. Both of them started frantically running around looking for eachother. Their pulses were pumping fast as they both felt like they were being chased by someone but there was nobody behind either of them. It didn't make sense. They were just together. The two rooms were right next to eachother. Where did the doors go? And why couldn't they find eachother?!
Eventually Jimin saw someone he didn't know standing at the end of the hall. It must be the groundskeeper. He ran for them, "Hey! Excuse me! Have you seen my friend?!"
As Jimin ran towards them, suddenly they walked directly through the wall. He froze in his tracks and his jaw dropped in disbelief. No no no. This isn't happening. This can't be happening. What in the complete hell was that?! He began to panic completely as he began to cry. He realized he not only couldn't find Taehyung, but none of his members seemed to be around. And Where the hell is Jungkook!? He turned and ran in the opposite direction screaming for his members. He never realized how badly he needed them around until this very moment.
Namjoon, Jin, and Yoongi had gotten tired of waiting for their maknae to find them. It wasn't like him to take so long so they all came out of their hiding spots and found eachother in the hallway.
"Do you think he found anyone else yet?" Yoongi asked.
"If so then you'd think it wouldn't take them this long to find us," Namjoon scoffed.
"You think Jungkook is okay? Maybe he got lost," Jin pouted.
"We should look for him," Namjoon stated. They stuck together as they made their way through the halls and checked the rooms. Yoongi walked into one room and called for Hobi, wondering where he was too. He went to check under the bed, and when he did he was met with a black figure with glowing red eyes. He started screaming and frantically ran backwards out of the room.
"No!No! Holy shit! Holy shit!" Yoongi screamed as he threw his body into Jin. Jin wrapped his arms around him, "What what what?"Jin asked confused. "What happened?!" Namjoon asked concerned.
Yoongi was shaking and pointing inside the room, "There was a ...a ..there was a.." he couldn't get the words out as he started to cry. Jin hugged him tighter, "Hey it's okay. I'm sure it was nothing, alright?"
Yoongi buried his face into Jin's chest, "We have to get out! We have to find everyone and get out hyung! I don't know what the hell I just saw but I didn't like it and hyung I want to leave now!"
Namjoon walked in and checked under the bed. Yoongi was screaming telling him not to, but when Namjoon looked there was nothing there.
"See hyung? It's alright." Namjoon was making his way back into the hall when a picture on the wall flew off and at him and smacked him in the head, instantly leaving a bleeding and bruised scrape. Namjoon dropped to his knees while he clutched his head, "Ahhh! Ouch!" he screamed .
"Joonie!" Both Yoongi and Jin screamed, diving to the floor next to him.
"Let hyung see," Jin cooed as he inspected the cut. "Oh Namjoon-ah...that looks like it hurts. Are you alright?" Jin rubbed his leaders back. Suddenly Namjoon started to cry too. He was terrified. He had no idea how the picture managed fly off the wall on it's own. He looked to Yoongi, "You're right. We have to get out."
"We can't seem to find anyone," Jin pointed out, "I hope to God everyone is okay!"
Jin's statement sent panic through all of them. For all they knew everyone could be trapped or hurt somewhere in this stupid palace. What if they couldn't find the rest of their members?
The three of them got up and began to run and continue frantically searching for the others.
"Hobi?!"
"Jungkookie?!?!"
Taehyungie??!!?"
"Jimin?!?!"
"Where are the rest of my damn dongsaengs?!" Jin screamed. He was fighting back tears of anxiety. Namjoon had a really bad headache but thankfully his cut had finally stopped bleeding.
Yoongi said they should call them, but nobody's phones seemed to be working .
"Fuck this place and their damn service and their damn electrical problems and their damn...whatever the hell else is going on!" Namjoon cried. They continued running around while sticking together. Jin had grabbed the guard rail near the top of the stairs, and without warning he suddenly began to fall backwards over it. He felt like someone was trying to push him over, but Yoongi and Namjoon clearly didn't have their hands on him.
"Ah! Help!" Jin cried. Namjoon and Yoongi turned to see Jin falling. "Hyung!" Namjoon screamed. They both ran and grabbed him and it was difficult to get him back on his feet. Once he wasn't in danger anymore he too broke down crying.
"Someone was ...I felt someone's hands on me.." Jin cried.
"Hyung you know we didnt-" Yoongi started but Jin started screaming, "I know! I know it wasn't you! But I'm telling you I felt someone pushing me! Like they wanted me to fall and get hurt!" Jin was a sobbing mess, "I just want to find the rest of my babies and get the hell out of here!" Jin buried his face into his hands as he dropped to his knees and sobbed into the floor. Yoongi rubbed his back, "We're going to find them, and they're going to be okay."
Namjoon wiped some of Jin's tears as he stood back up. They quickly kept searching.
Hobi hadn't moved from under the bed he was hiding in since Jungkook had started counting. It wasn't so much he was determined to win, but the place freaked him the hell out and he felt safest just remaining where he was until he was found. He felt somewhat annoyed when it seemed to be taking forever. After Jungkook had finished counting he apparently just disappeared. How the hell does he take this long? He's usually way better at games than this!
He covered his mouth to mask his breathing when he heard someone enter the room. About damn time! But I bet whoever it is won't find me!
He heard footsteps getting closer and he tried to hide further under the bed. He suddenly saw a pair of boots stop right in front of his eyes. Boots he didn't recognize. He thought maybe it had actually been the groundskeeper that had come into the room, which made him feel extremely awkward. If the groundskeeper found him hiding under some random bed, he wasn't sure how to explain that. It was best he stay hidden. He got more anxious when the boots didn't seem to be walking away. He decided to investigate and slowly crawled to the edge of the bed. He slowly peeked up and saw that the boots didn't have a body attached to them. He didn't remember the groundskeeper taking his boots off and getting in the bed. He crawled backwards when he saw the boots, without a body attached, start walking away and back out the door. He started to have an instant panic attack. Was he dreaming? Had he fallen asleep under the bed and imagined all of this? There was no explanation. He kept his hand clamped over his mouth afraid to move or breathe. He could feel his body shaking. What the hell?! What the hell was that?! He was too terrified to come back out of from under the bed.
At least he thought he was too terrified, until he heard Jungkook screaming bloody murder.
"Maknae?!" Hobi screamed out loud. His fear switched from being afraid of what he saw in the bedroom, to panicking over what was wrong with Jungkook.
"HY-UNGIES!!!!" Jungkook was screaming. Hobi could hear the terror in his maknae's voice but he couldn't find him.
"Kookie?! Where are you?! Hyung is coming!" Hobi screamed into the halls. He realized it sounded like Jungkook's screams were coming from outside. He wondered why the hell Jungkook would be outside, but he didn't hesitate to run down the stairs and out the front door. He saw Jungkook standing outside a mess of tears.
"Jungkook!" Hobi screamed as he ran to the youngest. Jungkook turned and saw Hobi and ran to him, crashing into his hyung and clinging to him like his life depended on it. He sobbed into his hyungs chest, "I-I-I couldn't find anyone and-and--" Jungkook was having a panic attack and hyperventilating, "Everyone-d-d-isappeared and-"
"Hey hey, it's okay, I'm here," Hobi cooed as he rubbed Jungkook's back. Suddenly Jin, Namjoon, Yoongi, and Jimin also all ran out the front door and ran to them. They had all heard Jungkook's screams too.
"What happened?!" Jin screamed, "Bunny are you hurt?!"
"N-n-no hyung," Jungkook choked out. Hobi told them how Jungkook was really scared when he couldn't find anyone. The members all started rambling about the terrifying experiences they had when Jimin started screaming, "We have to find Taehyungie! He's missing!"
All of them looked back inside and as if on que, they heard Taehyung screaming from the first floor right inside the doors. Everyone ran inside and Taehyung was curled up in a ball on the floor right at the bottom of the stairs clutching his ribs as he continued to scream and cry.
"Hyungie!" Jungkook cried. Everyone ran to him and asked what happened. He was having trouble breathing, his ribs were digging into his lungs. "Someone-someone-pushed me...I..." he couldn't breathe, "But nobody...there was nobody..." he cried, "Help--ahhh-h-h-help."
Jin had Taehyung lay on his back as the younger screamed in pain even more, breaking everyone's hearts into a million pieces. He was clearly extremely hurt. Jin lifted Taehyung's shirt to reveal black and blue bruises and they could see that one of his ribs wasn't where it was supposed to be. Jimin had to look away as he felt like he was going to vomit. He felt absolutely terrible. He felt guilty for getting separated from Taehyung. If we were still together I would have never allowed him to get hurt.
"Ambulance! He needs an ambulance!" Yoongi screamed. He pulled his phone out but the damn thing wouldn't work inside so he ran to the front yard where he thankfully got service. He was able to call for an ambulance and ran back in.
"Hey, try to breathe Tae, help is coming. You're going to be alright. You'll be alright," Yoongi cooed to his dongsaeng. Everyone tried their best to keep Taehyung comfortable as they waited for the ambulance. He was having a lot of trouble breathing so they did their best to keep him still so his rib wouldn't dig into his lung more. When the ambulance and some police got there, the members panicked to the cops about how they needed to all leave and begged to be escorted to the hospital behind Taehyung. Thankfully the cops were more than willing.
They got to the hospital shortly after Teahyung had just been wheeled into the Emergency Room. They were in a waiting room and called their manager to let him know what happened. Their manager informed them that the staff members who had been hurt that morning were doing better, and the one in the coma had woken up and immediately started speaking about how the place was dangerous because he saw ghosts.
The members jaws dropped. There was no denying at this point the place was haunted. Everyone huddled together as they waited as they were all still reeling with extreme anxiety over everything they'd seen. They weren't going to let anyone out of their sight again. A few hours had gone by and the doctor came in and told them Taehyung was doing alright and they put his rib back in place. They were led to his room where they smothered him with gentle hugs and kisses.
Taehyung immediately started crying and tried telling them, more clearly, what had happened and how he felt someone behind him push him right off the top of the staircase but there was nobody there. The rest of them re-told their experiences and how absolutely alone and terrified they all felt.
"I don't understand how none of us could find eachother. We were all on the same floor," Namjoon asked. He was still completely confused.
"I thought everyone had abandoned me," Jungkook pouted.
"You know we'd never do that to you bunny," Jimin ran his fingers through Jungkook's hair, "I came running when I heard you screaming. You sounded hurt, I was so scared."
"Me too," Taehyung pouted. They were thankful that Jungkook had ran outside in his panic because if he hadn't, for all they knew they'd all still be lost in that damn palace. The members stayed huddled around Taehyung closely telling him how sorry they were he got hurt. They also all felt terrible about the injury on Namjoon's head.
"I felt something off about that place the moment we got there," Taehyung started, " I should have said something. I'm sorry."
"Don't blame yourself Taehyungie," Hobi replied, "At least we're out now. We're together. We're safe again. "
"Do you think the groundskeeper had anything to do with it?" Jimin asked. Namjoon shook his head no. It was too obvious that nothing that happened happened by the hands of a person.
"I wonder why he didn't at least warn us, we never even actually saw the guy," Hobi pouted. The members didn't know why the groundskeeper kept to himself so much, they figured maybe he was also afraid of his own house.
"All I know is I'm not going back. We can record somewhere else," Jimin stated. Jungkook hugged Jimin, "I'm with hyungie on that one."
The rest of the members agreed they were not going back to that palace. They could film Run BTS somewhere very far far away.
"You know what is funny?" Yoongi started, "We were filming Run BTS, and in the end, us, BTS, ran away."
The members chuckled.
"And here I was thinking my jokes were bad," Jin teased.
"Your jokes are bad, hyung!" Taehyung chuckled.
"Yah!" Jin yelled, "If you weren't in the hospital right now I'd smack you!" he teased. The members continued to laugh together and settle down for the rest of the night in the hospital. They never imagined that one day they'd rather be sleeping in a hospital than in an ancient palace.
They'd rather be sleeping anywhere but there.
[The End] [New requests CLOSED]
