Chapter 6
Sarah's POV~
"Well, here we are. Just three months ago in October, I was reunited with my best friend. Now, in January, I'm having to be separated from her again!" Asa screamed as we were running from the cops down an ally. Let me fill you in. In those three months, we have become total outlaws. running and hiding 'till their trails go cold. Then, they find us again and we start fleeing. It honestly sucked. This time, we broke into a bank, but on accident. Asa was teleporting us to an old junkyard but ended up us in the Credit Union National bank! How do you even do that??? Anyway, We jumped out the back window and ran down an alley. Probably not the best way to go. "We are going to turn this corner and teleport, okay?" He said. I nodded and we turned the corner. Then, teleported to whiteness. He had taken us to Alaska.
"You dummy! Why take us to Alaska during January?!" I said and hugged him for warmth. He wrapped his arms around me to make me warmer.
"I couldn't think of anywhere else.At least we are away from the cops." He yelled over the blizzard wind. "We need to find town!" We teleported into another alley. It was still freezing but at least the wind was blocked by the two buildings we were in between.
"Asa, I need another makeover." I said, grabbing his jacket.
"Already? You just got one in October! Why do you need another one so soon?" He questioned me.
"Since we are wanted, and the word will spread eventually, we need another makeover so we don't look like the wanted people anymore." I explained. I was now shivering and could barely talk.
"Okay Sarah. Let's go find a salon so you can go get your hair all did up." He mocked me. He had a thing for making fun of girls.
"Your hair needs to get all 'did' up too dummy. I'm not the only one wanted." I said, slapping his arm. We went to the corner and saw a salon down the street and we headed there. "Hi. We don't have appointments but since no one's here, can we get complete makeovers?" I asked with puppy dog eyes.
"Of course young lady. Come with me you two." We followed her to the back and she had us sit in chairs."What would you like?" I heard the girl talking to Asa say. "Out of the corner of my eye, I saw him whisper something into her ear and they both grinned.
"Now, what would you like dear?" The woman asked me.
"Something completely different." I said with a smile. "Oh, and can you give me *whisper whisper*?" I asked. I whispered the last part into her ear so Asa couldn't hear me. It worked. The stylists started doing their magic. First, she plucked my eyebrows, then, washed my hair. After that whole process was done, she started with the hair dye.
"Permanent or temporary?" She asked.
"Permanent!" I squealed. The last thing she put on me was the extra thing I asked for.
"There darling, you look fabulous!" The stylist said, jumping up and down. I got up, and turned to the mirror. The reflection that looked back at me I did not recognize. It took me a few moments to realize it was me.
"Wow. I look completely different! That's good!" I said.
"I'm surprised the freckles actually worked!" I said, feeling my face skin. It felt regular but looked so different. I now had freackles (obviously) and my hair was a natural red tone. That's all that changed yet I looked so different.
"Freckles? Since when does my best friend have freckles?" Asa said, walking up to me.
"Who are you?" I asked, confused.
"It's me, Asa! Wow, it really worked!" He said, turning to the stylist and giving him a thumbs up.
"Wow, Asa, I don't even recognize you!" I exclaimed. He now had deep dark hair again and was still combed practically sideways. His eyes were grey too.
"I could tell." He said, smiling. We payed the people and left as happy customers. It had stopped snowing while we were in there but it was still very cold. We passed a tattoo parlour and stopped. We both looked at each other and grinned, then walked inside.
"What can I help you with?" He asked.
"I need a tattoo that looks like a lion is tearing my right shoulder open." I said and looked at Asa. He had a confused look on his face and I winked at him. Then he understood.
"And I need a tattoo on my shoulder of and angelic cross please." Asa said and grinned. It was a lot of pain, but we could take it. Asa was done first and it looked amazing. He got a tattoo of a half pointed cross that had a yellow halo and angel wings. It also had a purple and orange background. And I got done second. It looked pretty amazing! My tattoo looked like a lion clawing at my shoulder and it bleeding where the skin ripped. We were amazed at them. Asa payed for them and we left.
